The Strasbourg MC returns with a new album with high-flying lyrics. A year and a half after the release of his album “Bohemian Rap Story”, that definitely established Dooz Kawa as an essential rap artist of the French rap scene.
This fourth album “Contes Cruels” offers 12 tracks still as rich in poetry and great instrumentations. Dooz Kawa tells stories about love and hate with the same passion. No matter how much time passes, Dooz Kawa's words will always have an effect on the listener. Featuring: Lucio Bukowski, Lautrec and JP Manova.

Like an ode to your Walkman and to those 90-minute tapes that you used to rewind with your pen, DA BREAK's first LP was all about Funk & Hip Hop 90's flavors.
That album immediately found itself on playlists on all your favorite radios (Radio Nova, FIP, Couleur 3, France Inter, RFI, BBC 6…), and enabled Da Break to play live in major festivals and venues (Nuits Sonores, Nuits Zebrées Nova, Radiomeuh Festival, Woodstower, Festival de Marne, Hortus Live…).
This was completely unexpected, a major learning experience, and above all a lot of fun and gave the Lyon-based gang a whole lot of ideas for the next stage in their musical journey, propelling them towards new musical horizons: infectious riddims with grooving keyboard & guitar licks as their bedrock and free association leading them into jazz, broken beat, soul or disco vibes … During the creation of Let It Shine, all doors were wide open and all musical genres potentially welcome.
The production still has a « home made » feel to it, like the previous album, but with a modern, sonic twist when needed- a result of three years on the road together and new creative input from group members. Whether it be on a New York summertime roof-top, or settled in a Low-Rider with some G-Funk, or moving to some phat Jamaican style bass-lines or getting sensual on a tight breakbeat, lead singer Hawa knows how to shine her feminine and versatile brilliance on the project. She gives to the songs the final touch and the emotion needed to share with us her stories about human relationships - everyday tales sharing her real life-experience. This ever-expanding musical spectrum, Da Break play with it, explore it and also let it kick completely free at times ! Song after song, they bring a magic glow to LET IT SHINE.

Jennifer "Hawa" Zonou & Rémy Kaprielan, founding members of the group, have decided to tighten the ranks and clarify
the content of their music: an aesthetic still anchored in their dear 90's Soul Hip Hop culture, but also with a sharpened ear,
attentive to today's world and sounds, always searching for federating grooves and warm vibes.
DA BREAK has entrusted the production of the LP to Pierre Vadon (also the band's Live keyboard player) who has already
proved the quality of his compositions and arrangements on the second album LET IT SHINE. The mission remains
unchanged: to gather, in the line of the social values defended in the 90s urban music, crib of their inspiration. Grounded,
conscious, questioning, celebrating, comforting, staying open to the world and to each other. Each song is a painting, a
story, a reflection...
Composed during an intense period on the emotional level, this album is a subtile mixture of musical influences: from the
most old school Hip Hop beat to the most contemporary flow, going from West Coast vibes to Caribbean colors. DA BREAK

The Strangers brings together Hervé Salters AKA General Elektriks and two exceptional rappers: Frenchman Leeroy (ex-Saïan Supa Crew) and American Lateef The Truthspeaker (Blackalicious) in a new project. Evolving in the year 2222, "The Strangers" is a testament from the future in the form of hip hop with a strong funk undertone, a timeless and playful sound where the languages of Shakespeare and Molière combine and clash to describe a world of tomorrow in 2023 that no one has yet heard of: requiring the earthlings of the future to travel from an early age, society abolishes the fear of the unknown. Lateef, Leeroy and General Elektriks have therefore chosen to set their narrative in the future to better speak of today"s world. The environment, individual freedom, police violence and communitarianism are all subjects that permeate the record. But the 3 Strangers inject a healthy dose of humour and energy into their music. The musical cocktail of beats is a feast for the ears, and a truly rare piece of hip hop mastery with a beautiful artwork cover to go with it. The instrumental record For The Luv Of It - Volume One Reloaded - Part One is a real treasure to be added to any serious vinyl collection of the genre. Eric Blaze (E. Blaze) is a Paris record shop owner, a worldwide music producer and a label manager at The Group NYC. Before embarking on his New York journey, he co-founded the legendary Hip Hop French group Tout Simplement Noir in 1989 and eventually decided to move to the Mecca of Hip Hop where he has worked for two decades as a vinyl specialist at world-famous A1 and Academy records, and as a music producer, crafting numerous tracks for Hip Hop finest MCs such as Krs one, D.I.T.C., Milano Constantine, OC and AG, Blaq Poet, Infamous Mobb, etc. Over the years, to highlight his skills and efforts, and most importantly recognized and encouraged by his peers. Co-signed by the best original beatmakers in the world, Lord Finesse, DJ Premier, and Large Professor, Eric released on his own New York based company four instrumental records: For the Luv of it Volume Three and Volume Two, Bandwidth and Flip Side.

We are in 1994, DJ Clyde left the group Assassin and launched the 1st French Mixtapes but he sees even further and launches into the production for the 1st time since he became a hip-hop activist. His set up seems very simple but unusual and innovative for the time especially in France with a Sp1200 and two S950 and a maximum of Soul, Funk, Jazz vinyls that he digs with his crew Hypnotyc Djs (Dj Clyde, Dj Max, Dj Asko). The project is also exceptional because it comes from a cassette archived by Clyde of beats sent for the album Paris Sous Les Bombes of the famous group Suprême NTM (3rd album of the group). Of course you will not find the beats released with his last but all the unselected gems that reveals the talent and the advance that Dj Clyde had taken in the production at that time! More than an instrumental album or beat tape, this project is a testimony of the history of Hip-Hop and moreover of Beatmaking in France in the 90s which was not supposed to see the day. The cover is made by the talented grafiti artist Cyril "Kongo" of the famous and historical crew of graffiti artists MAC (founded in 1986 in Montreuil).
