We are proud to be reissuing Benny The Butcher and 38 Spesh's seminal joint album, Stabbed & Shot. These underground kings were both at their hungriest at the top of 2018 and this LP is the proof. Air Vinyl will also be releasing Stabbed & Shot II in early 2020, so this re-release should get fans ready.

The King of Upstate, 38 Spesh, is on a tear with his production this year. After fully producing
his own 5 Shots EP and then Che Noir’s Thrill of the Hunt 2, he is out to prove he can rock the
MPC with the best of them. He has a slew of projects lined up for the rest of the year and right
into 2020! First up is his collab album with Far Rockaway’s Flee Lord!
Both artists have a deafening buzz right now, so what better way to satisfy their hungry fans
than to do a joint album? The two have put together their brands, Trust Comes First and Loyalty
Or Death, to create the must-have project of the year, Loyalty + Trust. It’s Rochester meets
Far Rockaway and the game will never be the same again. The lead single, “Perfect Plate,”
exemplifies the duo’s synergy as Flee speaks his mind over Spesh’s Golden Era sound.

In 2019 rapper/producer 38 Spesh put together a compilation album to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a seminal year in Hip-Hop, 1994. It features the biggest names in the underground like Benny The Butcher, Conway, Rome Streetz, Eto, Flee Lord, Elcamino, Che Noir, Hus Kingpin, Daniel Son, and many more. They all rap over popular beats from 1994, which are actually all remakes by Spesh. Then in late 2020 Spesh followed up his well-received comp with a sequel titled 1995 (of course). However, with this instalment of the series, Spesh decided he would make it a solo mixtape on which he raps on classics from 1995. To make it official, he had the project presented and mixed by his longtime affiliate DJ Green Lantern.

Although the i-38 is a fictional highway, it represents the road Spesh has taken to get where he is today. His hustle and grind are well known among his peers. The trafficking themed song titles on this album (“The Mule,” “Toll Booth,” “Road Back,” “Made It Home,” etc.) tease the kind of weight-moving bars to be found within. Guests on the album include Spesh's TCF Music Group labelmates Ransom and Che Noir, as well as regular collaborators Benny The Butcher, Elcamino, and Klass Murda. Further, contributions from notable producers such as Buckwild, The Heatmakerz, and Streetrunner make this album an all-star affair.

38 Spesh’s TCF Music Group didn’t just pop up overnight. The label and its reputation have been built over the last decade. After dropping a trio of mixtapes with DJ Green Lantern between 2008-2012, Spesh debuted his stable of TCF artists at the top of 2015 with a compilation titled The Trust Tape. The project put a spotlight on three up-n-coming talents: Benny The Butcher, Klass Murda, and Spesh himself. The overwhelmingly positive response to the mixtape led Spesh to get right back in the lab to pump out a sequel. Only a couple months later 38 gave listeners The Trust Tape 2. The collection of freestyles and original songs exceeded its predecessor and became a benchmark for the Upstate New York scene. On top of the TCF trinity of Spesh, Benny, and Klass, this offering also features Yonkers icon Styles P.

Having produced full albums for numerous buzzing names in the last couple of years, 38 Spesh has become recognized as one of the most prolific beatmakers in the new era of hardcore Hip-Hop.

So, to mark this achievement, he has decided to start giving fans the instrumentals to their favorite songs with a new series titled Speshal Blends. The first volume of the series includes beats off of Che Noir's Thrill of the Hunt II, Flee Lord x 38 Spesh's Loyalty + Trust, 38 Spesh's 5 Shots EP, and more.

The title of the series is a homage to MF DOOM’s classic instrumental collection, Special Blends. The album art also references DOOM’s series, but instead of playing on the Zig-Zag motif, the Speshal Blends covers riff off the logos of popular cigar brands most commonly used for blunts.

The soundbeds for the illustrious affair are provided by Spesh himself with the help of a producer he has championed for years, Jimmy Dukes. Instead of continuing to mine the '90s like their contemporaries, the duo bring a sound that calls back to early '00s Hip-Hop. On top of verses that will etch themselves in your mind courtesy of Spesh and Conway, the project includes standout bars and hooks by the likes Lloyd Banks, Pharoahe Monch, Benny The Butcher, Che Noir, ElCamino, and Emanny.

A-Trak! You may have been introduced to him as a World Champion turntablist, an iconic indie record label owner, half of Duck Sauce, a producer, a festival DJ, a remixer, Kanye’s Tour DJ, OR, a former Juicero advocate, but you may not know that he had a Hip-Hop record label in the early to mid 2000’s called Audio Research Records.

During this time, Trizzy hooked up with arguably 2 of the best Hip-Hop groups to come out of that era, producing records for Little Brother and the mighty Dipset! One of the very few Little Brother records that 9th Wonder didn’t produce, “Step Off” falls right in line with the whole LB aesthetic. A-Trak got busy with a bouncy joint that ended up on tons of mixtapes, available Only on ARR 12” until now! Same story with the b-side, A-Trak teamed up with Dipset for “Don’t Fool With The Dips!” featuring 40 Cal, Hell Rell, J.R. Writer.

akua naru’s 2011 groundbreaking album, “...the journey aflame”, is now available on vinyl. The album, a melange of dope beats, politics, poetics and power, long sought after is finally here!
This first official repress contains high quality audio, a double vinyl LP with a gatefold-cover. In addition to classics like "the backflip", "the world is listening”, and “the block", this repress features the underground smash "poetry: how does it feel???", a hit lately revealed to be supermodel Cara Delevingne’s favorite Valentine's Day song. "poetry: how does it feel?" is one of the greatest love songs ever recorded and it’s available now on vinyl for the first time.

When an emcee finds a producer who fuels his verbals, he keeps him close. Atoms Fam, Hangar 18, and Def Jux alumnus, Alaska found just such a fire in steel tipped dove on last year’s The Structural Dynamics of Flow. A journeyman in the pits, dove’s credits run way below the surface of things, and his pedigree shows in his ability to keep the rig moving no matter. Once again on the black circles is the inimitable Marcus Pinn, steady adding nitrous to the mix. Over numerous releases in the last few years including two from 2023 alone, Alaska has settled into a style as mature as it is versatile. He knows the course comfortably now, so he can take the turns, open it up, and just drive.

Along for the ride this time are PremRock and Curly Castro (a.k.a. ShrapKnel), who with Zilla Rocca, make up three-fourths of the Wrecking Crew. All appear on different tracks here, not that keeping them separated blunts their impact in the least. Prem and The Prophet, Fatboi Sharif, are Alaska’s accomplices on “Murder by Numbers,” and fellow Atoms Family member Cryptic One joins Zilla and Alaska on “Disappearing Acts.” There’s also Bateria, a.k.a Jedi Son of Spock, on “Imposter” and Sleeping Dogs on “Vulture Stones,” among others. Those guys are all undeniably dope, but they’re only passengers here.

Alaska never lets you forget who’s behind the wheel as he drops lyrical references to everything from classic slashers and Wu-Tang to Violent Femmes and Hunter S. Thompson. It’s fun, but it’s serious. You can feel the aging aches of “Mild for the Night” in your lower back. You can also feel the frustration on “Hundred Dollar Bills” when Alaska raps, “Yeah, I’m a nihilist, but only ‘cause I’m tired of shit.” Word to the dead man’s ego.

"Vibration" was released in March of 2014, and catapulted Alex Wiley from the underground Chicago scene to a global presence on the blog and festival circuits. "Vibration" was the lead single off Wiley's 2014 LP, Village Party, which stands out as a classic of the time period. This 10th anniversary 7" plays at 45rpm and is limited to 500 copies.

This exploration is best evidenced by the project's lead single "Charmander," the video for which was lauded by GQ as the "Most Menswear-y Music Video of 2021" for its incredible styling and featured by Pitchfork as one of the best music videos of October 2021. After six months of anticipation, Aminé has prepared a vinyl offering for fans of the project to add to their collection for the very first time. Since its release, the album has amassed over 100 million streams and garnered praise from Billboard, Complex and Highsnobiety, in addition to the aforementioned support from Pitchfork and GQ.
