Mr. Käfer and Phlocalyst are adding their own chapter to the saga with their collaborative album Now / Again to be released via Melting Pot Music. The vibe of the 12 tracks is chill. The kicks, snares and basslines are crisp but relaxed. Wrapped up in warm melodic layers and led by the distinctive sound of Phlocalyst's trumpet.

The Flemish producer grew up in Ghent and relocated to Munich where he plays in a classic orchestra - a rather uncommon day-job for a lofi producer with more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Mr. Käfer was born in Salzburg – the hometown of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Crack Ignaz – to an Austrian mother and an Algerian father. Today he lives in Cologne. In his music he fuses influences from boom-bap to jazz to traditional North-African music. The album artwork was created by Cologne-based artist Giza One.

Psych-rap enigma Onoe Caponoe returns with his fifth studio album ‘Concrete Fantasia’ on High Focus Records.

In crystal clear communication with the mothership; littered with striking references to fantastical realms and uncommon lore, but very much anchored in the inner city blocks and smoggy roadsides that inform his everyday, ‘Concrete Fantasia’ is a dark fantasy tape that expertly blurs the lines between genres, tones, moods and character profiles.

Of this world and out-of-this-world perfectly poised; Onoe offering up escape portals, before quickly pulling the listener back in with wave-upon-wave of catdelix riptides. ‘Concrete Fantasia’ is something of a tug-of-war; peppering movie samples, vignettes and complex go-betweens tickling the senses, combining with a cacophony of mind-bending lyricism resulting in a singular journey, with Onoe confidently filling the shoes of both author and narrator.

Pinocchio ducking feds in the hood, an Ice King ruling over a frostbitten kingdom, The Cheshire Cat trying to clean up Alice’s act, sweet serenades to off-shore mermaids, the trials and tribulations of life in a haunted trap house, big booty witches, flying carpets and beyond, ‘Concrete Fantasia’ is a real trip through the imaginative mind of Onoe Caponoe.

With an eclectic line-up of featured artists and productional talent propping up the fictional cast, ‘Concrete Fantasia’ has all the makings of an alt-rap odyssey for the ages.

Originally from Brussels, now based in Montreal, Senz’s first approach to cutting up records was in '98 as a DJ on a pair of Technics 1200s that he shared with his best friend, one month each. Flash forward to 2020, with close to 20 years spent producing on a variety of MPC models, Senz began making beats on his phone by bringing app-based Koala Sampler into his production arsenal, opening up a whole new chamber for him. He has worked with Da Buze Bruvaz, Giovanni Marks, Elucid, Beans (formerly of Anti-Pop Consortium), Dave Dub, Megabusive, Juga-Naut, Dibia$e, Duke Westlake, Uncommon Nasa, PremRock Brainorchestra & more.

Regarding his first official Grilchy Party release he presents "The Dream Juice Machine" the object is to bomb the senses yet make a smooth enjoyable listen. A record you can put on on a Sunday afternoon or as soon as you wake up. It just feels good. Senz set to work on what would become Dream Juice Machine after sifting through 100s of beats over several years, then Senz & MarQ Spekt selected 20+ bangers which Senz then stitched together into a seamless, trippy, boom-bap, jazz, jungle tapestry that represents the Grilchy Party Favors series properly. On 'Vintage Colours' Boston MC Pastense links up with Irish producer DJ M-1. The beats on this album are M-1's trademark solid, analog and textured backdrops, an ideal canvas for Pastense to paint pictures with wordplay both abstract and literal; ruminations on day-to-day life and thought. The album is the first in a series of collaborations in 2024 the producer has planned with various vocalists and this is the perfect starting point. Features come in the form of Uncommon Nasa on the track 'Gene Wilder Words' and Zesto Q on 'Hollow Man'.
