Described by music journalists as German wonder boy and multinational phenomenon, Berlin-based music producer and beat maker Meeco has been an internationally respected big name among music lovers and music experts for quite some time. Deeply rooted in jazz and soul music, he has released four albums featuring an eclectic mix of star guests from different genres including Talib Kweli, Gregory Porter, John Scofield and Casey Benjamin (Robert Glasper Experiment), always moving effortlessly between jazz, soul and hip-hop. Not a conservative musician by any stretch, Meeco is used to doing things big, out of the norm and striking new approaches. On this new venture, WE OUT Here, Meeco delivers a pure hip-hop album. Again, he did not skimp on star power as the featured artists include big names such as Smif n’ Wessun, Masta Ace, Little Fame (of M.O.P.), Big Shug, and A.G. (of D.I.T.C.). All of the tracks were exclusively produced on the legendary EMU Sp1200, a 12-bit sampler, providing a particular grit and signature boom bap sound.

Knowledge The Pirate is back! Roc Marci’s righthand man has been quietly building another masterpiece and as usual he’s kept his circle small. The album is fully produced by Pirate’s regular collaborator E.L.E.M.N.T. and noted Italian producer and Tuff Kong Records cofounder Cuns. There is no features on this project because Knowledge The Pirate felt the need to keep the spotlight firmly focused on himself this time around. The new full-length is titled “Family Jewels” and is based on the Black Madonna and Jesus’ bloodline. Of course, the record is still that hardcore Street Hop fans have come to expect from Pirate, but it’s also a little deeper than that. The first leak from the album, “Oni Experience,” finds Knowledge utilizing a conversational flow to drop mad jewels about street life, while the second leak, “Red Beam,” is some genuine weightmoving music. Vinyl is available as a limited edition of 500 numbered copies, with 2 different covers both provided by Le Daltonien as well as digipack and available on all digital streaming platforms from May 8th.

Undun is the tenth studio album by The Roots, released on December 6, 2011. Tuff Kong Records presents a truly special and one of a kind project from the multi talented producers/artists Lee Scratch Perry and Mr. Green. Using the same ethos as his popular #LivefromtheStreets series (as seen on VICE/ Noisey as well as Complex and Netflix) Mr. Green's goal was to do something that had never been done before. Although at the surface the record is a standard 18-19 minute EP, digging deeper, listeners will find a sonic roller coaster that seamlessly combines over 20 different genres of music and styles.

At the young-age of 83 years old, he still tours and headlines shows and festivals all over the planet.

Although Lee Scratch Perry began making music over fifty-years before Mr. Green, he maintains that Green is one of his inspirations and even may have helped launch his career, presumably through time travel, portals and Open Doors.
