Dj Nasty aka Detroit's Filthiest is one of the original creators of the Ghettotech sound in the early 90's. 4 tracks made of dirty bass, soulful strings and hi speed 808 patterns. Roger Van Lunteren is an artist of enviable experience. For more than two decades the dutchman has been developing and perfecting his sound. After his first steps on Heimelektro Ulm in 1999, Van Lunteren has shown his talents on labels like 030303, Diffuse Reality and Something Happening, Somewhere. It is this knowledge, and his musical craftsmanship, that Van Lunteren draws upon for his debut on FireScope: Future Wounds. The EP is a veritable universe of delights. At either ends of the galaxy you’ll find two takes of the same piece. The textured “Stop (Sync In)” opens. Satellite bleeps bob on a flotsam and jetsam of pads as strings soar above hedged claps. “Stop (Original) flows in a beatless ambience, heady yet light and ephemeral. Coquettish and playful, “Spätzünder” is an altogether different entity. Dancing between braindance and house, this jam has all the spontaneity of a live track with flourishes of the silken-funk of Chicago. Clouds gather for “IRF4.” Haunted modulations and reel scratches lurk before a slow rhythm lumbers forth. Stalking through a moonless sky, the track is chillingly atmospheric with an undeniable lo-fi groove. Drums stagger and swell in the sweetness of “Coinc.” Bright and dreamy, the track cherry-picks from a spread of influences and sounds and is emblematic of the EP. Future Wounds is a constellation of Roger Van Lunteren’s music. From cheerful and innocent to shadowy and subtle, this quintet is a cross-section of this artist’s abilities. Rich and infinitely varied, five tracks to explore and return to.

Fourth Wave are over the moon to welcome Scherbe to the team! Growing up in the American zone of Allied-occupied Germany, the influence of Hip Hop, House & Techno comes through strongly in Scherbe's music. Moving to Dresden in 2009, he befriended the guys at Uncanney Valley, who released his debut EP 'Jardin du Midi' in 2013.

Scherbe's debut for 4th ranges from slow motion, string-drenched, emotive Detroit stained Techno on 'King Of Kasio', to bumpy Chicago flavoured Hip-House on the flip 'Neva Too Late'.

The new generation cant be stopped... another fresh new label with some ace tracks.... Rhythm Nation with Terrier deliver three heavy and intense techno tracks ranging from raw (without getting harsh) to deep intense string loaded Detroit rooted techno. No peak time techno tools, but tracks we'll play over and over. Recommended!

The dynamic Amsterdam-based duo Homework join the Let’s Play House family this May with their four- track ‘Palindrome 1’ EP out on the imprints White label. Since initially bursting onto the scene in 2010 with their blistering ‘Hudson Square’ EP on Exploited the Dutch based pair have been dishing up a string of successful releases on the likes of Wolf Music, 2020 Vision, Jackmode and Made To Play. ‘Palindrome 1’ marks their first foray on the ever-impressive Let’s Play House and the gent’s don’t disappoint. Special mention must go to title cut and EP opener ‘Palindrome 1’ where buttery synths and clipped percussion combine seamlessly with feathery pads and warm tones to deliver a polished sunshine groove. The EP on a whole is characterized by crisp production, organic warmth and undulating groove with each cut bringing something a little different to the table. In a sentence - moving, melodic and moody yet supremely captivating house delivered track after track here from Homework.

with electronic music but definitely oriented to his nowaday modern vision of sounds. The melodic groove of the calimbas
percussions drives you till the heart of the track and his swinging drum, to never let you go and brings you up in a
neverending hypnotic mind dance. On B1, Arno E. Mathieu version push the hypnotic vibe of "Tiger in The Hood" using
the original arpegiator theme, and brings the track to a deep techno level for a textured and anthemic experience.
Ponctuated by a strings hit appearence and supported by a non stop heavy bass-line, the track progression brings us till a melodic synth conclusion true to Arno fusionned style...

Continuing their quest to unearth deep house gems new and old, Vibes & Pepper introduce the world to Manuel Keyz with a killer four-track workout that makes all the classic moves. The strings and keys come in seductive, nocturnal arrangements, while the snippets of vocal come from true soul divas, all atop of bumping garage house funk. The tune that stands out to our ears is "Orange Love", replete with sexy saxophone fit for Lil Louis and dreamy key flourishes that give a considered and wistful tone to the track, but really there's plenty to work with on all four corners of this EP.
