Little is known about the origins of this project, grasping the curiosity of many 90's trance diggers, this mysterious EP was originally released in 1994 on the now defunct London based label ITP Recordings. Presenting 3 tracks that dive deep into the trancy electronics of the time, going well into the 8 minutes marker on each track the producer takes the time to allow a pallet of atmospheric qualities to gently grow and layer themselves throughout. A very unique aural signature, almost as if fractals had a sound, organised in a highly effective manner for the psychedelic electronic music inclined dancefloor.

Another EP from the vaults of West Coast rave scene specialists, Michael Kandel and Tom Chasteen. A side has two versions of a fast passed dancefloor oriented production tactfully presenting woven layers of rhythmic elements underneath dubbed out effects, “Crazy Jane” possibly channeling moments of Debbie Harris' “Heart of Glass” on LSD. B side gets more aggressive on many levels with a bit of a downtempo Gabber feel to it, raging synths and generous cymbal action all around, 3 versions, one of them featuring samples from Jimmy Stewart's 1946 monologue in “It's A Wonderful Life”, another one with very non-western elements mixed in, and finally Juan Ramos bringing a very dancefloor friendly version with a slight Euro-Dance late Hi-NRG edge to it. ‘Feather Boa Constrictor’ features one of Copenhagen’s most exciting emerging producers in recent years - Vixen - fresh off her own acclaimed release, Hard Magik For Soft Souls, on Lobster Theremin in December. Now the pair link up on the DJ Mag Breakthrough Label of the Year imprint that blends all the best elements of the Berlin and Copenhagen scenes in a high-speed trip through psy-trance, synth-wave and techno.

Narciss is on his ones as we enter the A2; ‘Lovechild (Outrun Mix)’ is aptly named with its reference to the 1986 arcade game Outrun, which featured some of the best video-game music to ever be created. Deep basslines, swirling synth-stabs and a soothing deepness and contemplativeness that can only come with driving a virtual car down a never-ending highway.

‘Tokyo’ makes use of polyrhythms and textures blended with what sounds like an old Sampha record. It’s a wonderful combination of dark, deep and forward-thinking sound, before Copenhagen producer Repro comes through with a typically EBM-focused remix combining elements of every track.

Lost Legion Collective was operative from 1990 till 1998. Its epicenter was in Bologna, Italy. The collective released music worldwide on seminal labels like Nation Records, San Francisco's Silent Records and Wig Wam, next to artists like Drome and Transglobal Underground. Blossom Kollektiv is proud to unveil their first full length release since relaunching in 2022, with Porto?s Pixle82 and his first album ?Infinity?. Following the single release of the title track of the album, the full nine track voyage makes it appearance this April. Pixel82 talks about this work, which was produced during a time of forced introspection and uncertainty, as a rediscovery of the past to find the future. He wanted to create an uplifting vibe for the songs on the album but while still having a subtle dystopian feel in some of the tracks. To achieve this sound, he experimented with polarities and used sounds that are personal to himself including organic sounds from nature and even from his personal life with the use of a recording of the heartbeat from his own daughter. During the nine-track expedition the artist creates an honest tour de force, without the constraints of making dance floor shakers and the end result is a highly effective trip that electronic music lovers around the world will adore, not only for listening but also with various moments that will work wonders on the dance floor. Each track is carefully crafted to play off the other with lively alluring synths, eclectic beats, and cleaver use of vocals throughout the album that seals each track together cohesively. Arriving on There Is Love On You, following killer releases from Posthuman, Denham Audio and Saturday Night Rush, comes a sci-fi soaked five-tracker spanning headsy techno, proggytrance and chugging ethereal noise from 'Us' founder Desire, who heads the project that aims to 'shine the light on queer people' through releases and mixes.

'Express Self Love' sounds much like the expression of ecstasy. Spacey atmospheric and ear-wriggle acid lines meet in a dimly lit room with dark techno, electro and trance for a proper headsdown affair. 'Dernier Souffle' is a cut of contemporary progressiveness being championed by labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult and Butter Side Up - minimal, malfunctioning and dubbed-out goodness.

'Keep Moving' maintains a meaty bassline that threatens to overflow at almost every turn - moments of celestial high-ends emotional transfixation sparkle amongst the tough-as-nails techno - before 'Incisiveness' follows up with what might be the fun-loving twin of its predecessor; a cut of peak moment, intellectual techno-trance.

The tempo comes down on 'Voyage Infini'; a chugging cut of transcendental synthwave best played as the sun is just coming up.

Swedish progg is not to be confused with "prog" as in progressive rock music. When we are talking about progg, we are refering to the Swedish music movement influenced by the political climate of the late 60's, to some extent the hippie movement and in many cases also Swedish folk music. Music highly driven by an political agenda. Blod's Knutna Nävar, originally released in an edition of 150 copies on Förlag För Fri Musik in 2018 and later a small cassette run, is pretty much a lost progg classic from the 70's. This is not a case of copying a certain sound though, far from it, neither are ideas really rehashed nor does the album feel nostalgic in that sense. Rather it feels like if someone has read about the progg movement and all the records but never actually heard it, yet decided to do an album and somehow managed to succeed big time.

Further developing the sound palette and ambience initiated with parts of the Leendet Från Helvetet recording, the music feels slightly louder and more in your face. It's like it's more of everything. The melodies are immediate and it's quite impossible to resist the brash catchiness of it all. Albeit mentioning progg music and it's importance for this recording, the actual musical side of Knutna Nävar has in reality more in common with soundtrack/library music and Swedish composers like the late Björn Isfält when you attempt to break it down. The crude DIY approach and anything-goes mentality just adds an extra dimension to it all and ultimately places the music somewhere else. There's a rather blunt use of samples throughout the record (sources probably best to leave out, though you don't have to be a Einstein to figure these out), but then again this is made by the same guy that gave the world the Abba album. Those samples have managed to become an integral part of the music through the few years that has passed and though well familiar with the records those snippets are now to me genuinely Blod and nothing else.

It's been a true pleasure but also a rather chaotic experience to follow the progress of Blod from a close distance since the beginning. I have fond memories of receiving the odd cassettes from the early days, like the severely fucked up Unga Röster (later issued as an LP on Förlag För Fri Musik) and the awfully mesmerising Prat Om Depression recording. Returning to Leendet Från Helvetet for the first time for long a while, it's quite evident that the album marked a new phase in the troubled Blod universe. There's few traces left of the found tapes/audial voyeurism and brutish stop/rec editing that made up the first few releases, instead we are served with what is pretty much a proper album in a, sort of, traditional sense.

The record opens with a sole beat from a hand drum soon accompanied by a beautiful and very Blod-ish subtle melody from a glockenspiel but it only takes a few minutes before Gustaf's past as a free jazz aficionado is noticeable with the rather rough saxophone burst of 'Natten'. It's not until the title track that things kicks off for real though, most likely the first example of the sound and, maybe more so, very special feeling that I would say most people associate Blod with nowadays. To me, it's the sound of growing up in Sweden in the 80's; having two channels on the TV, eating brown food, rainy summers, taping commercial stuff on the radio, playing D&D in a purple tent in the garden. Memories of that certain bright light that can occur during the Scandinavian summers, those warm days when the skies are foggy. Long windswept grass and a very peculiar feeling of utter boredom. Arguably, Blod has never sounded more Blod than on this track, this is the very essence of the man's work right here. The progamm continues on side B with the solemn piano piece 'Lust', another saxophone rager and then the flipside's centrepiece 'Tro, Hopp & Kärlek' which pretty much mirrors the title track in it's larger-than-life scope and pure beauty.

Changes’ is the second EP from Sydney producer Morgan Huggins, a very spiritual sequel to 2021’s ‘Anzac Bridge Filter’. Co-head of local community, event, radio show & label Lovejoy, Morgan’s production is an extension of the moments he experiences both within music & in his life apart from it. Morgan created ‘Changes’ in a period of great flux in his life. With his third EP, THROUGH, Mexican musician Pablo Pina, best known as Sainte Vie, plunges deeper into

innovative soundscapes. In Heart, a syncopated kick groove and filtered drum roll, accompanied by
unusual synth arpeggios create an ethereal atmosphere that is completed by a ghostly vocal recitation of a

The opening track, Negative Time, is a musical interpretation of zero point energy creation and quantum physics. Cutting, yet melodic goa-riffs take the listener on a journey backward in time through a mix of darkness leading to a positively melodic final. Danger on the High Seas is a deeper, more straightforward technoish track where light and dark are doing a wonderful mating dance between the crests of the high waves. The song was inspired by the mysterious vanishing of flight-19 in the bermuda triangle. The last track, Lost In An Old Junkyard, is known to the people that bought the Carpe Noctem compilation on Suntrip. But now it is available on vinyl as well as a different mix: the Tow Hook Mix! This track is the most classic Xenomorph track. Alienated tearing effects, mixed with exalted melodies.

LA Bush Team Series

Let's dive straight into the heart of the matter: we're discussing a rare and unique series. A series that has made its mark not only on dance floors but also in people's minds. The La Bush Team, as its name implies, is connected to the legendary club LA Bush and consists of three equally legendary members: Marino Stephano (CM - Dream Universe), Mauro Crisci (Hand's Burn - Good Shot), and Frédéric Dourlens.

This 4-vinyl release, launched in 1999 alongside a CD album (equally rare to find), indelibly etched its place in the history of Belgian Trance. Its collection of hits and a distinctive, instantly recognizable sound left an enduring impact. The vinyl records were an instant sell-out upon release, and in 25 years, they've never been re-released, remaining subjects of speculation.

Now, it's time to bring this series back into the spotlight. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of this iconic release, we've chosen to present you with a collection of the best tracks from the four vinyls of that era, along with exclusive bonus tracks from the CD album never before released on vinyl. All tracks have been remastered for this occasion, making these two samplers an absolute "must-have" for trance connoisseurs and vinyl collectors of all kinds.

Southern Exposure is proud to present the debut solo EP from Mike Midnight. Angel Hours was originally self-released digitally but has been lovingly pressed on heavyweight vinyl for the first time with design from Jeffrey Annert.

Angel Hours current rise felt like it was imminent from the first listen, with contributions from Noa (Voice Actor/Stroom) and 3ndles5 (Low Life). Mike’s production across the release feels akin to 90’s artists like I:Cube, Thievery Corporation or certain Weatherall moments. The heavenly references are well deserved with multiple moments on the release feeling truly divine, whilst others take a low-lit and alluring feel. Mike Midnight feels singular in the Australian music landscape, like a mix between the best parts of Paul Mac, Single Gun Theory and Ian Eccles-Smith.

Angel Hours continues the lineage of Australian music breaking through to international recognition with the release becoming a mainstay on NTS Radio, breakfast show host Flo Dill dubbing it “music that when listened to at night makes you feel unstoppable.” Remastered by Corey Kikos (Sleep D/Butter Sessions), the balance of each track of downtempo bliss feels like you’re not only unstoppable but weightless.

Platipus needs no introduction for anyone in the dance music business. Still going strong after 30 years, the label boasts loads of classics in the trance and progressive firmament. To celebrate this anniversary a special series of 12 collectible vinyls will be released over the next year. The 3rd release opens with the mighty Album 12 Inch Mix of Chab featuring JD Davis’ Closer To Me classics, which is very much sought after, topped with Ferry Corsten’s great remix of Art Of Trance’s Madagascar classics. The B-side is blessed with a more recent Torsten Fassbender release named Skychayu in addition to Indiana featuring Jana Kuma - In My Veins in the Adam Dived Remix. Another great vinyl release from the illustrious UK label Platipus.

The first sampler gets off to a flying start with the A side featuring the absolutely legendary track 'Ten Seconds Before Sunrise' by Tiësto, repressed here for the very first time since its original release. For the second track on the A side we are going for 'Made in France' with 'The Milky Way' by Aurora Borealis, a true rave classic originally released on Laurent Garnier and Eric Morand's label F Communications.

The B side is all about 'back to basics' with the classic house track 'One Kiss' (Fathers Of Sound One Mix) by Pacha, one of the many guises of UK house legend Dave Lee, best known as Joey Negro. Equally classic is 'Hablando' by Ramirez, closing the B side in true 90's house style.

On the C side we are going all out with the exceptional inclusion of a cult Jam & Spoon record 'Odyssey To Anyoona', released back in 1992 on Belgium's legendary R&S Records. A glorious return to our roots, completed by Ransom's 'My Dance', a pure house gem and one of La Rocca's greatest hits.

Finishing on a high note the D side kicks off with the timeless piece of music that is 'Shed My Skin' by D*Note in the ubiquitous Pete Heller remix, who is of course also responsible for the hit 'Big Love'. O.T. Quartet's 'Hold That Sucker Down' is the final piece of the first sampler. A giant of a track straight from England, composed by Rollo (member of Faithless) and Rob Dougan, who went on to write the music for the film 'The Matrix'.

The third and final sampler takes no prisoners and starts with THE hit of the year 2008: 'Toca Me' (Inpetto 2008 Remix) by Fragma, played by absolutely any DJ worth his or her salt in that era, including a certain DJ Tiësto who made it one of his favourites of that year. Linking this Dutch connection up nicely is 'Solid Session', by Format aka Orlando Voorn, a true techno and house master of the 90's who is one the few Europeans fully adopted by the techno pioneers of Detroit.

The B side has legendary written all over it with the beast that is 'Tone' by the undisputed master of acid Emmanuel Top (also known for 'Acid Phase', 'Turkish Bazar', etc.). 'Tone' is definitely one of the greatest records of this music style, with Sven Väth making it his very last track to close the 10th anniversary of the Omen in 1998, a legendary moment for many German clubbers. 'Tone' is followed by a nice surprise on this sampler in the shape of 'Zorgoonn' by Total Groove. This At The Villa classic is the pearl of the early years of Gregory Dewindt, a true giant of our scene who also collaborated with DJ master Phi Phi on the classic 'Jesus Trip'.

On the C Side we find another 'Made in Belgium' hit with 'Monotone' by Monotone feat. L.A. Work, a timeless and super effective classic that's impossible NOT to play! 'Monotone' is followed by a genuine beauty in the pure state of trance, one of the classics of the Yeti Records label, the magnificent 'Pure' by Rebirth, bringing us almost 12 minutes of pure emotional pleasure.

And finally on the D Side we keep the quality very high with 'My Lexicon' another masterpiece by Sander Kleinenberg and a true gem of progressive house played and compiled at the time by Sasha & John Digweed, which says a lot! Concluding this extraordinary series of samplers what could be better than a legendary title composed by the God of trance himself under his alias West & Storm? 'Moose' was indeed one of Tiësto's projects and became one of the most emblematic records of Extreme on Mondays. One for the real trance heads who will be over the moon to see this one reappear here!

On the second sampler the first gem on the A side is undoubtedly one of the greatest pearls and trance compositions of the 90's, released on the prestigious German label that all current techno producers revere: Le Petit Prince. Microwave Prince 'Eternal Light' was, upon its release in 1995, already an extremely difficult record to find. 28 years later, this has not changed in the slightest. Closing the A side we have the essential DJ Wout remix of Dave Kane's 'Zero Plus', an enormous hit in the early 00's in clubs like La Bush, La Rocca, etc.

The B side brings us the legendary Delerium 'Innocente', reinterpreted by Mr Sam in his iconic and now timeless 'The Space Between Us Remix' and the German techno gem 'Don't Stop' by Mark N-r-g.

The C Side features 'Miracle', one of the most beautiful trance records ever made coming straight from Germany in the person of Taucher, undoubtedly one of the best producers of his generation. With S'n's 'Conflicts' the C side brings us another true genius, a future prodigy of progressive and melodic house at the time of this release: Sander Kleinenberg. An emblematic record at Extreme on Mondays if there ever was one.

The D Side is taken up by two tracks that take us even deeper into the essences of trance music with the enigmatic track 'Together We Can Learn' by Awa. This mid 90's English trance gem was already a collector's item upon its release, so it's our privilege to have it on this sampler in 2023. As is the case with the second track 'Lonely Casseopaya' by L.S.G., composed by one of the true pioneers of trance: Oliver Lieb. This record is a treat for those who listen to it closely and feel the classic 'after' vibe of our golden age of Belgian clubbing.

While digging for music at Snickars records in Stockholm, local producer, DJ and promoter Maya Lourenco aka Parallax Deep came across two classic goa/psy tracks. These were ‘Gobi Desert’ by 100th Monkey & Tristan (released on Matsuri Productions in 1995) and ‘Bunker’ by Four Carry Nuts (released on Aurinko Records in 2000). She took the records home and began working on creating her own edits by expertly slicing and re-arranging different sections of the tracks and coming up with her own unique versions staying true to the original identity, giving new life to two classics from decades past.

Omformer is the collaborative project from Ute cornerstones Mikkel Rev and Oprofessionell. Mostly focusing on the live act they still have managed to build an impressive catalogue covering everything from one-hour long ambient tracks to loopy psychedelic peak time weapons.

And for their long overdue debut EP you can expect no less, presenting four summer ready trance excursions extracted straight from previous live sets and jam sessions.

Dive into their most maximalist, drama inducing and dancefloor-shattering project to date. Get lost in layered psychedelic trance endlessly looping arpeggios, mind bending squelching resonances and big melodies best consumed under the forest canopy.

Codsi continues his personal exploration of Arabic music codes, mainly investigating quarter tones scales in a fully electronic environment in order to create new harmonies and textures that still convey a feeling of familiarity whilst keeping a certain aura of strangeness and mystery. The album was recorded between during 2021 and 2022 and the music eventually comes as a very personal quest for transcendence. A sort of speculative answer to the world’s ongoing absurdity and what seems to be an incessant array of conflicts, disasters and tragedies.
