The Quicklace™ system of the Salomon XT-Slate makes it easy to put on and take off as well as adjust the fit. For the sole, Salomon used Advanced Chassis™ construction for high stability and excellent cushioning and its proprietary Contagrip technology which offers lots of grip and durability to make these fine sneakers suitable for various terrains and movements. Contagrip soles are made from a mix of different compounds with different densities. This means that different zones of the outsole are softer or harder, depending where they're placed. Areas that are prone to wearing out faster have harder-wearing high density compounds e.g. the edge of the outsole.

It's the fifth collaboration between Snow Peak and New Balance Tokyo Design Studio that created the Niobium Concept 3. This design is an innovative hybrid boot that combines the comfort of sneakers with the protection of winter boots. The Snow Peak × Tokyo Design Studio New Balance Niobium Concept 3 consists of an outer shell designed for winter functionality and an inner shoe that can be used as a house shoe, for example. The outer shell is made of eVent, a waterproof and breathable material, while the inner shoe is insulated with lightweight, water-repellent and heat-retaining Primaloft®. The New Balance x Snow Peak Niobium Concept 3 is complemented by a specially created pattern on the lining shoe and a sole construction reminiscent of the MT580, which is particularly popular in Tokyo.
