18th anniversary edition of the long-out-of-print Studio One Soul 2, the long-awaited second volume of one of the largest selling Soul Jazz Records" Studio One collections.Studio One Soul 2 takes us deep into Jamaica"s long-standing fascination with American Soul and Funk music.This selection features a mixture of classics, super-rare and unreleased tracks from Studio One all lovingly digitally re-mastered for this release.

The follow-up to their Action! predecessor, Intensified features the major hits ‘Poor Me Israelites’ and ‘Ah It Mek’ which topped the UK & US charts in the late 60s & early/mid 70s.

Also featured on the album is the punchy ‘Sweet Music’, a celebration of those knock-out vocal harmonies, where Dekker is at his best. With the great ‘Rude Boy Train’, Dekker was a precursor to the ‘rude boy’ phenomenon, which has since become a mainstay in reggae songs.

As many artists before them (Gainsbourg, Snoop Dogg, Lavilliers, Sinead O'Connor…), DA Break embarques us to revisit their best tracks “Inna Reggae Vibe”, and invites us listeners to rediscover their repertoire with a more than ever “Roots” sound. Collaboration between world-renowned dub creator Hummingbird and Reggae/hiphop crossover rapper Pazoodog! Hummingbird, a dub creator who collaborates with artists from around the world and is active in Japan and abroad, and Pazoodog, known for its free musicality that crosses over Reggae and Hiphop and gaining recognition for its unique lyricism and flow, are now set to release a 7" record! This song incorporates the universal theme of the passing of time into a somewhat mature and melancholy sound with Hummingbird's sophisticated beat along with Pazoodog's unique lyrical flow.

Singer-songwriter Haruno is releasing the long-awaited 7-inch version of "Spring Has Come," a collaboration song for the Technics Eah-az80 Wireless Earphones! The theme of the album is spring, and was produced in collaboration with Taku Inoue, who has written songs for Ado, ano, and Hoshimachi Suisei, among others. The B-side features a remix by "pas TASTA," a six-member Jpop project that uses the Internet as a medium to transcend national borders.

Hailing from Trenchtown, Jerry was an original member of the Rocksteady group "The Jamaicans" before migrating to Toronto. He set up Summer Records in the basement of his suburban home in Malton near the airport, a subterranean music sanctuary for the likes of Prince Jammy, Jackie Mittoo, Johnny Osbourne and Willi Williams.

Dreadlock Lady features Jerry's yearning falsetto over a hazy instrumental courtesy of the Ishan Band and showcasing horns-man Fitty's transcendent flute and Sax solos. The Dub enters even more surreal territory with Jerry at the controls putting the tape machine through its paces, reminiscent of wilder outings at Wackies Studio.
