The Right Here deliver heartfelt songs blending rootsy punk rock, alt-country, and rugged all-American rock n' roll. The Right Here (trh) is a twangy punk rock ‘n roll band from Minneapolis. Forming in 2010, they’ve put out two full lengths and an acoustic/ b-sides record on Rum Bar and Throwing Things records. At long last we’re happy to bring you the release of Tulu & Wimpy Fly Like A Cucumber. This full-length record was recorded in 2014 at Electric Cave Studio in Portsmouth, NH by Scott Gildersleeve (aka Tulu) Jack Hayes (aka Wimpy), and Marc McElroy. Gildersleeve and Hayes, along with Joe King, were the original members of the infamous punk rock band The Queers who formed in the early 1980’s. Gildersleeve and Hayes also played together in the Boston-based band The Monsignors in the late 1980’s. Tulu and Wimpy Fly Like a Cucumber contains new songs written by Scott Gildersleeve, and recorded in 2014 by Gildersleeve, Hayes and McElroy, as well as some unreleased and remixed songs by the Monsignors. Tragically, in early 2015, within a few weeks of the completion of these recordings, Scott Gildersleeve aka Tulu... left us... hopefully to a better place than this world. “But finally, I am able to release this truly outstanding record, that I had the pleasure of being able to create with my best friend. Barrie Lindsay is a soft spoken, obsessive producer and songwriter who grew up tinkering with instruments in Ipswich, Massachusetts. After graduating from Wesleyan in 2012 with a degree in music, Lindsay formed her first band with her brother, a 5-piece group called Grammar. She spent her 20's quietly making music in Boston and working at a sculpture studio until she was discovered on Soundcloud by a manager who encouraged her to move to Brooklyn and pursue a career in music by forming a band. Lindsay obliged and soon Barrie, the 5-piece band, was born. After a number of successful singles, Barrie released their debut in 2019, Happy To Be Here, earning buzzy press, TV syncs, and new fans around the globe. A month after Happy To Be Here came out, the band parted ways and Lindsay reintroduced Barrie as a solo project. In the two years since then, the 32-year old suffered the loss of a parent, and married her wife, Gabby. While Lindsay has maintained a separation between her personal feelings and lyricism inprevious works, she allowed herself to find catharsis in songamidst the intense love and grief she was experiencing. One night during a moment of grief, Lindsay couldn't bring herself to set up the mic properly in her studio. Instead, she opted to shout across the room in a true "fuck-it" moment. Liking the effect this produced, she decided to stick with it, yielding "Dig," a self-produced single featuring an impressionistic slew of slide guitar, dulcimer, and mandolin. You can hear her newfound sense of boldness, as she wails the song's central refrain, giving herself over to emotion: "I can't get enough of you / Where did you come from?" Whereas "Dig" floats in a seeming free-time, Barrie's second single, "Frankie," is locked into a driving, propulsive rhythm. Its bass synth, which remains constant throughout, is meditative and hypnotic. Among skittering arpeggios and melodic hooks, the song's message asks listeners to consider capitalism. Political pop can be awkward, but Lindsay's is subtle and poignan...

Berlin producer Robot Koch is back for his third full length release, “The Other Side”.

Although Robot Koch has an international reputation as being “One of Europe's finest producers of the beat generation“ (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker… “(Post)-dubstep infused Electronic Hip Hop“ is far too constrained a label to understand what this producer is all about. Instead of following the sound of his previous albums “Death Star Droid” (“Essential listening” – Bobby Friction BBC) and “Songs For Trees and Cyborgs“ (“Music for a modern age that has rarely sounded so good” – Boomkat), Koch takes the genre defying ingredients from these previous records to another level. There still are some of those “Galactic ten ton beats and space age melodies“ (Dazed and Confused) that made the previous albums staple drops in the playlists of Mary Anne Hobbs, Starkey, Daedelus and Gaslamp Killer to name a few, but there is a new dimension to Koch's production and songwriting that didn’t show on his previous records.

The cinematic vibe of tracks like “Nitesky”, the quirky and moody feel of “Bugs” and the electricity of “Tapedeck” show how Koch more than ever manages to create intimate and timeless pieces of music that are soulful, deep, mysterious and that will appeal to fans of cutting edge Electronica and modern pop music alike. This is the most personal record of Robot Koch to date. Instead of going for big name features Koch teamed up with lesser know artists like Kansas based vocal talent John LaMonica, long time friend and theatre composer Nielson and mexican singer/songwriter Graciela Maria to find the right voices for his compositions. John LaMonica infuses his whimsical and heartfelt melodies that breathe an air of darkness and nostalgia with Koch's fresh and forward thinking instrumentals to create something that fans of Radiohead, The XX and Jamie Lidell should not sleep on.

After the release of the John Robinson collaboration album (“Robot Robinson” – Project Mooncircle) earlier this year, it seems surprising how extensive Robert’s output is, but don’t be mistaken, this album is a longer term project than just releasing the songs Koch made in the last year. Some of the songs found on “The Other Side” were made seven years ago.

HIGHLIGHTSAs a follow-up to our previous work reissuing the recordings of Pau Riba, key figure in Catalonia's counter-culture and music scene, Munster presents "Ars Erótica", one of his most sought-after singles, in the 50th anniversary of its original release.It includes alternative edits of two songs included on his classic album Dioptria/1, great examples of his psychedelic folk-rock style at the time that also picture the chilled-out vibe at the studio where Riba was backed by the band Om and some guest friends.DESCRIPTIONAs a follow-up to our previous work reissuing the recordings of Pau Riba, key figure in Catalonia's counter-culture and music scene, Munster presents "Ars Erótica", one of his most sought-after singles, in the 50th anniversary of its original release.This is a misterious and surprising record that was originally released on Concèntric and featured alternative edits of two songs previously included on his classic album Dioptria/1. 'Ars Erotica (non est mihi)' is edited to last just under 5 minutes, after taking out some verses and arrangements, although keeping intact its psychedelic folk-rock essence, with plenty of fuzz guitars.On the flipside we can find the possibly most interesting recording on this single, clearly showing what the vibe and work method were at the studio: all the musicians playing simultaneously in a chilled-out atmosphere. This edit of 'Rosa d'abril (l'amor s'hi posa)' starts right in the same point where the album edit finishes, with Pau Riba backed by the band Om jamming and some of the guest friends at the studio joining in, including the film producer and script writer Joaquim Jordà, who Riba wrote this song for.

Spice singer Ross Farrar speaks of the band's ambition to forge a sort of aesthetic patois: a mode of expression as strikingly regional as it is recognizable. Last year's self-titled debut, released in the depths of the pandemic, fully achieved this goal, distilling decades of North Bay punk and post-hardcore into an urgent, artful set of emotive unrest. Their latest single, A Better Treatment b/w Everyone Gets In, further refines the group's singular mix of weathered melody and abrasive poetics, equal parts bracing, bruised, and cryptic. "A Better Treatment" began as a song about a friend who died but through the turmoil of collaboration transformed into something more macroscopic and opaque, blurring the boundary between hopeful and defeated ("I thought loving someone would cure my self-hatred"). Bass and drums build against walls of guitar while the violin threads its own melancholy within the noise; Farrar is blunt about the intention: "The violin is an instrument of death you know." "Everyone Gets In" is both poppier and more pained, an anthem for angst aging into the reverie of regret: "We lose our strength / along the way / we lose each other / the funeral sways." The tempo sways too, gradually slowing to an anxious crawl before finally revving back into a storm of shimmering guitar and splashing drums, fighting against the dying of the light. It's music of raw truths and rejected pedestals, storied but unswerving, a revolt against the great regress: "and my / my time is spent / adoring seasons / that I / I never should've."

Multiple is the sixth full length record by the prolific maximalists known as LITE. Over the past 16 years, the Japanese quartet has established itself as one of the most influential groups across a host of subgenres. Though usually referred to by touchstones such as "math-rock" or "post-rock," LITE has developed an uncanny ability to fuse their influences into their own unmistakable dialect that defies generic genre classification.At times, Multiple's compositions find themselves at unlikely stylistic intersections. Conversating funk riffs will interweave with challenging rhythmic phrasing, blurring the lines between lead sections, obscuring where passages begin and end. LITE's distinct voice is emphasized in tracks such as "Double" and "4mg Warmth,"where melodies meander incessantly, constantly taking the listener to new territory.While many LITE songs unfold at breakneck pace, others entertain entirely different worlds altogether. In songs "Ring" and "Blizzard," the band tests the limits of their abilities with slowed-down, genre-bending forays into hip-hop and dub. On "Ring," LITE collaborated with rapper Maco Marets and singer Utena Kobayashi, where the latter's talents were also tapped for the song's ethereal steelpan section. As LITE has shown over nearly two decades, there exists no style that they cannot master or otherwise weave into their designs.

"There is something so familiar and comforting about this unique 4 song EP. That guitar tone; those riffs – as if I’ve heard it before. I went through my entire tape collection. DLIMC? CCTV? Coneheads? Research Reactor Corp? Gary Supply? Gee Tee?

No, but you get what I mean. It has a familiar rock air to it. As soon as I hit ‘publish’ I’ll think of who’s alter ego this is and immediately want to kick rocks for not hitting the buzzer.

Either way, this “Barcelona” band called Prison Affair came ripping through my speakers in the late hours and has been on repeat ever since. It has the quick hi-hat hits and wobbly tape effects that are instantly gratifying to the senses. It’s soothing and anxiety driving. It’s dark and bouncy.

It traps you like a cage and drives you mad in your four wall cell. Or maybe it’s just driving me crazy that I can’t pin down who the fuck this is.

Perhaps it isn’t something I’ve heard before. This is just a new hip band from Spain and they’ve just hit the nail on the head for someone that loves 4-track recordings, middy guitar riffs, lofi bass, and tight drum beats. Prison Affair really contained me in their sound, locked me up in world, and won’t let me go.

They’ll take you on a journey from processing to the wardens office and straight to their isolation cell in just under 5 minutes. Before you know it you’ll be out on the streets and ready to commit a crime, just to be arrested to get a chance to hear more from Prison Affair."

Bound/Cured are two brand-new songs from the Richmond, Virginia/Asheville, North Carolina/San Diego, California, quartet Bleach Everything. Their first new recordings since 2019’s split LP with Integrity, Bound/Cured goes even further into both the pure violence put forth on 2018’s So We Gnaw LP and the melodic components introduced on the aforementioned Rftcc recording. Clocking at 1:29 and 1:08 respectively, both songs get in, get to the point, and then get out with razorlike precision, cutting exactly as intended. Thematically, “Bound” explores the uncertainty of luck and life and never truly knowing how it can, will, and can still shake out. “Cured” addresses the notion of figuring out how one must come to terms with the truth before death takes care of the task. It took you longer to read to this point than to experience both songs in their entirety.
