Originally released on Philips in 1970, Zweistein's trippy kraut psych experimental masterpiece gets its first vinyl reissue ever. Even more experimental than Faust, Kraftwerk or Cluster, their only album was a triple LP housed in a marvelous double gatefold cover, all made in silver & gold cardboard, with the front embossed and featuring a small mirror on it. Electronically adventurous, the sounds give you what's promised in the title in the form of an avantgarde collage produced by Suzanne Doucet -a successful pop singer and TV guest then, and now a famous voice in New Age music- with the help of her sister Diane and sound engineer Peter Kramper, who besides his recognised work as a studio wizard starting with many German beat bands like The Rattles or The Blizzards and later remixing albums by the likes of Hawkwind a.o. He also played synthesizer in some Amon Düül albums an records by other krautrock travellers like Utopia's 1973's self titled LP.

At the time Suzanne didn't want to link the avantgarde experiments collected here with her succesful pop career, so she used a pseudonym and signed the production as Jacques Dorian, while the recordings were issued as being made by a whole band named Zweistein. The photo you see on the cover of their only 45, here included as a bonus, show the Doucet sisters surrounded by friends who where ask to play any instrument they could, be a tambourine, a flute or simply stomp their feet on the ground, on the sessions.

The Wah Wah reissue has been licensed from Suzane Doucet, comes with remastered sound and will include one bonus 7" reissue of their non LP single. Like the original, it will be printed over metallic silver & gold embossed cardboard, plus comes with an insert with liners and photos. Limited edition, only 500 copies pressed!

Zu has always been a mercurial and ever changing entity, not afraid of cross-genre explorations and breaking down barriers between musical styles. Despite playing traditional instruments, major influences on Zu music have always been sonic explorers like Coil, Throbbing Gristle or early Neubauten. 'The Left Hand Path' is the side of Zu that has always been hidden and underlying in all their previous music. It's like digging out a box from the earth. It's everything the band had wished to highlight in previous works: ambient and droney landscapes, and acoustic explorations in obscurity. The album starts programmatically with the sound of a shovel digging the earth. It's a soundtrack for a descent in the underworld. It's moon musick. All the members played electronics and Massimo focused mostly on guitars. The recordings were then sent to Eugene S. Robison of Oxbow fame. Zu knew he was the right person to add vocals and to re-transform the music, resulting in a sort of contemporary post-everything voodoo blues.

While writing Forget, Xiu Xiu released the lauded Plays the Music of Twin Peaks, collaborated with Mitski on a song for an upcoming John Cameron Mitchell film, and scored an experimental reworking of the Mozart opera, The Magic Flute.

All of this frantic, external activity lead to a softly damaged dreaminess and broadened intent that has not been heard before in other Xiu Xiu works. Standout track, “Wondering” is one of the catchiest boogie pop gems in the Xiu Xiu catalog, but like much of Forget, it still bears an underlying tension that manifests differently in each piece.

Forget was produced by John Congleton (Blondie, Sigur Ros), Greg Saunier of Deerhoof and Xiu Xiu’s own Angela Seo.

Orange vinyl, gatefold sleeve. Following on from a Fire Records reissue campaign which cast new light on a decades-long career, in 2015 Eric released his first solo album in over a decade - 'amERICa'. It's about Eric, it's about America - a country he has toured since the late 70's, and where he has lived since 2011.. Eric played electric guitars and bass throughout, strummed a scratchy 3/4 size Framus Teenager acoustic (bought from an old blues singer down in Georgia) against simplistic drum loops of his own creation. Here and there he called on friends and neighbours - Brian Dewan manned a malfunctioning Wurlitzer organ and other dodgy keyboards, bringing in cheap but magnificent synthetic choirs. Jane Scarpantoni played the cello. Alexander Turnquist guested on the e-bow guitar. Eric's wife Amy Rigby assisted on piano, banjo and vocal harmonies. Eric treated and manipulated the sounds the American musicians made as they were being recorded.

Offering four new tracks + intro over 20 minutes, put simply, ‘Poisoned Blood’ is one of the most brutal recordings to come out of the Northwest in recent memory. Wear Your Wounds is the product of years of Lo-fi solo recordings by Converge founder Jacob Bannon. On this release he is joined by guest musicians Kurt Ballou (Converge), Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth, Unraveller), Chris Maggio (Sleigh Bells, Trap Them, Coliseum), and Sean Martin (Hatebreed, Cage, Kid Cudi, Twitching Tongues). Together they have created a powerful album that is unlike anything they have ever individually worked on. The album is contains ten emotional songs that call to the slower, more epic leanings of Converge, as well as his previous work in Supermachiner. Bringing to mind the multi-layered approach of Swans and early Pink Floyd, while being as vulnerable as influences Sparklehorse, Songs: Ohia, other like minded artists. Marking the start of an exciting new collaborative project, Wolf + Lamb proudly share the debut release of The Waves & Us. Formed out of a creative meeting of minds between Maayan Nidam, Markus Nikolaus and Louis McGuire, theirs is a sound that strengthens the storied approach of a live band with the experimental thrust of analogue electronics. Pop and rock fundamentals lend an earthly hook to the tracks, but these are anything but straight-forward songs. Maayan has already forged a formidable career in electronic music, both under her own name and as part of Mara Trax, scoring releases on such celebrated labels as Perlon. Markus performs his own solo project Cunt Cunt Chanel, while Louis is part of Ballet School, a band releasing on noted indie label Bella Union. The whirlwind of creativity that has whipped up around the trio has yielded an album which will follow this single, made up of one-take recordings that capture the energy and adventure that powers The Waves & Us. Maayan's electronics provide the atmospheric backdrop to the songs, running modular synthesisers and drum machines through detailed chains of processing and effects with an emphasis on a warm, charmingly rough finish. Markus' guitar undergoes a similar fuzzy treatment while his voice calls out introspective, abstract lyrics to set the mind racing. Louis' bass underpins the music with a dubby sensibility, bringing a necessary balance to the frequency range. Making the most of their in-the-room recording approach, the singles will feature alternative takes of the songs that will appear on the album, providing a little insight into the flutters and fluctuations that shape the development of this project. With their eyes fixed on live performances and an arresting sound already formed, this is a vital time for all three artists and the people that listen to them.

On the LP, Warm Graves deliver surreal, dream-like atmospherics that are underpinned by repetitive, organic rhythms and echoing vocals, performed by a self-taught choir composed of a collective of friends. Across the seven perfectly structured and interwoven tracks, Warm Graves create a sci-fi soundtrack that manages to be as gorgeously mesmerising and ethereal as it is anthemic and empowering. Originally released in 2014, the album is now being reissued by their new label home, the London-based Fuzz Club Records. Having spent the last few years out of sight and quietly working on new music, Jonas Wehner's Warm Graves have now completed their long-awaited second album which is set to be released via Fuzz Club in 2022. Until then, their fantastic debut, 'Ships Will Come', is now available to stream/download on all digital platforms once again and will have a vinyl reissue arriving on December 3rd.
