After Moon Invaders split in 2014, Nico, former drummer and Pierre, former guitarist reconnected during a Slackers' gig in Belgium. They agreed that the Pum Pum Hotel Studio would be the perfect place to experiment a new dub project so they scheduled a date to meet there and give it a try. Just few minutes after entering the studio, the record key was pressed and the first tracks’ recording of Dub Rocketry was on the way. Nico playing drums with Pierre playing bass first and next Nico adding keyboard, melodica, percussions and Pierre adding the guitars. They were joined later by David Loos and Rolf Langsjoen, previously saxophonist and trumpetist of Moon Invaders. It took one year to record the 12 tracks and finish the dub mix using analog tapes machines, vintage effects and vintage instruments. With the help of Chuck Wren, "Dub Rocketry" first LP came out in 2016 on Jump Up Records the famous label from Chicago. They had so much fun doing this first album that they decided to renew the experiment and launched the "FireCrackers" recordings one year later, right on time for the Badasonic Records label creation. "FireCrackers" second LP comes out in February 2020.

The longtime portuguese dj-producer DEDY DREAD lands on DJ’S CHOICE label for his first full-on original production. "Don't Wanna Wake Up" kicks off the collaboration with the soulful Hawaiian-born singer OLIVIA RUFF, a velvety warm r’n’b banger which will certainly tear through the airwaves. On the flip side, a “bikini-dub” version by THE REBEL - helped by the sax of Danilo Desideri (Funkallisto) - which will make you wish summer comes sooner rather than later. Published and worldwide distributed by the Italian cinematic label Four Flies Records.

Jamaican love songs always came across as heartfelt poetry whether they conveyed a broken heart, unrequited love or even the message ‘it’s all over don’t bother to come back’ anecdotes. But whatever the mood the singers of these songs were so good and versatile that putting such subject matter over in a few verses was always so moving and believable.

We proudly present to you on our 10th 7inch release, and for the first time ever on vinyl, the suitably named tune "Alchemy" by UK dub legends Alpha & Omega. This track first appeared on their album "Serious Joke" from 2002 (on CD).

16 years after their first collaboration, the reggae label Irie Ites Records and the group Zenzile, pioneer of Dub in France, pool their skills to produce a new musical nugget!
This project identified under the name DUB IT UP begins a series that will see Zenzile and Irie Ites associate with different singers. Trinity, Jamaican singer and toaster, a true living legend of the 70's Reggae, is the first artist associated with this project. A 3 tracks EP "No Worry Yourself" will be released in February 2020.
An album with 5 songs and their respective Dubs will follow in May 2020. This disc will delight, undoubtedly, fans of reggae and Dub, old school produced: live music and analog!

First 12 inch on "Sound of Thunder" Label. Meeting between the SOA band and Ossie Gad, founding member and lead singer of the 80's roots UK band "Naturalites". On A side a recut of the "Black Roses" tune that appeared on the album "Picture on the wall", on the flip side, a version of the famous "Drifter" Riddim. Both come with dub version.

Reissue of this classic roots anthem sung by Hugh Mundell & produced by Augustus Pablo. Accompanied by 4 Instrumentals & Dubs tracks. Mundell, prolific artist tragically died at 21, murdered in 1983. The year of his announced prophecy.

Recorded at Harry J & Channel One in 1982 with iconic musicians as China Smith, Flabba Holt, Robbie Shakespear, along with Norris Reid and Delroy Williams on backing vocals.The album include a recut of the classic "Java" and the singing of Hugh Mundell on "Ratafari Tradition". Part 1 of a double album, ‘Special Edition Part 1’, comprises of six tracks of which ‘Raleigh Twenty’, ‘Trickle Down’ and ‘Six-Eight Instrumental’ were written and recorded undercover at the band’s Wellington studio, BAYS, while the other tracks; ‘Special Edition, ‘Kamo Kamo’, and ‘OneFourteen’, have all been developed and evolved from the band’s celebrated live jam sessions, whilst on the road in front of audiences worldwide.

Supremely crafted at Freddy’s own BAYS studio in hometown Wellington, the deep musical and rich vocal layers reflect Freddy’s inspiration from the black music lexicon and is a response to the crowd energy at their world dominating live shows.

‘Special Edition Part 1’ is the first release of a long envisaged double album project with separate chapters. The next journey, Part 2 will be released in 2020 after stringent road-testing with audiences over 35 shows across New Zealand, UK and Europe celebrating the release of the Part 1. These upcoming live performances will allow the band to fully explore new song-writing technology and give rise to a slamming Part 2.
