The Reebok Beatnik is a very special design, as it combines the comfort of a sneaker with the airy characteristic of a loafer. The front area has been stitched with quilted seams, which together with the rough zigzag lines of the martial-looking outsole and the hook and loop fasteners create a unique picture. The Reebok Beatnik is not only very comfortable, this shoe also makes quite a visual impact.

Reebok Beatnik - features:

• terry cloth upper
• breathable fabric lining
• adjustable straps with hook and loop fasteners at instep and heel
• textile lining
• abrasion-resistant rubber outsole with zigzag treat pattern

Reebok Slides

Reebok was founded by Joseph William Foster in 1895 in Bolton, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. In 1924 the Reebok-predecessor JW Foster & Sons exclusively provided athletes with running shoes. 34 years later two of the founder’s grandsons, Joe and Jeff Foster, renamed the company Reebok inspired by the Afrikaans spelling of rhebok, a type of African antelope or gazelle. In 1979, Paul Fireman, a US sporting goods distributor, saw a pair of Reeboks at an international trade show and negotiated to sell them in the U.S. Soon Reebok successfully entered the North American market with three high-end runners, and in the following years, the brand stayed on a winning track, thanks to innovative designs that approached to the millions of Aerobic fans. When the Aerobic boom declined, Reebok also established a line of basketball shoes as well as apparel goods. But the greatest achievement of the company is the introduction of Pump technology that was developed by Paul Litchfield in 1989: With small air chambers and a built-in pump, people were able to create individualized fits for the best comfort you can imagine.
