Disco-Antistat replacement brushes Gen. I.

Set of 2 goat hair brushes for Disco-Antistat record washer Generation I from series 2021.

From the 2021 series onwards, the brushes can be removed and replaced if necessary. The new series can be recognised by the 2 blind plugs at the top left and right of the tray.

On older Generation I washers, the brushes are permanently installed and cannot be replaced!

The robust switches could also be found in a classic sports car. The gear motor is switched on with the left switch. During washing, the direction of rotation should be changed several times by flipping the switch. The right-hand switch switches on the powerful suction turbine. It only needs 2 revolutions of the turntable and the record is dry. A high-quality record brush is part of the delivery programme.The unit can be emptied easily with the help of an outlet spout.

Secure protection for the label
The beautifully shaped puck has a sealing lip on its underside that protects the label from moisture penetration all around. Powerful magnets pull the puck onto the record. So nothing needs to be clamped or screwed. It couldn't be simpler.

Washing with premium brush attached by one click
The DRAABE Premium brush is included in the delivery. With Kleeny MK2 you don't need to hold the brush in your hand. It is simply clicked onto the wash arm. It adapts to the slight unevenness of the surface because it is suspended so that it can move. When the washing process is finished, you simply remove the brush and switch on the suction. It couldn't be simpler!

Magnetically Stabilized Record Broom

Easy and effective cleaning arm

Record brooms have been around since the early 1970s. Some of them do a good job, some rather not. In many cases the brush rushes towards the middle of the platter, running out of sync with the tonearm. This phenomenon is known as skating. Recent developments aim to tackle this problem. Here the highly efficient neodymium magnet comes into play. These magnets are used to stabilize the record broom of the Sweep it S2. Sweep it S2 is constructed in collaboration with Klaus Mick and uses his patented technology to stabilize the record broom. Extensive theoretical and empirical research has been put into the development of this product.
The magnetic attraction between the neodymium magnet – based in the top part of the cylinder – and the [Fe] core/counterweight stabilizes the record brush. Moreover, the distance between the neodymium magnet and the [Fe] core/counterweight is carefully chosen to ensure a specific magnetic stabilization force. As the aluminium of the brusharm is paramagnetic, it acts like an additional space between the neodymium magnet and the [Fe] core/counterweight.
Sweep it S2 is height adjustable within a range of about 1cm. The position can be locked with the set screw on the base. With this mechanism, it is possible to adjust the height of the arm of the record broom in order to align it horizontally with the platter. A correct horizontal alignment ensures the correct tracking force of about 6g.
Flexible placement

The record broom can be placed in one of two left hand side corners of the turntable. The placement is depending on the type and shape of your turntable. At the optimal position the brush should align with the spindle (i.e. the center of the platter). Deviations (relative to the spindle) between 1,5 to 2 cm are well compensated by design of the Sweep it S2. Higher deviations can cause more drastic skating effects.

The cleaning roller offers you a time-saving and effective way to clean your records. Dust and dirt simply stick to the silicone surface of the roller. It is very easy to use: Carefully place the record on a clean, soft surface such as the Record Cleaning Work Mat from the HHV Vinyl Care series. Hold the cleaning roller by the handle and place the silicone roller on the record. Carefully roll over the entire surface of the record, changing direction several times.
To remove dust and dirt from the Record Cleaning Roller, wash it with lukewarm soapy water. Allow it to dry completely before using it again and store it in the storage box provided. Sunlight and chemical cleaning agents damage the roller and should therefore be avoided at all costs.

To clean your vinyl records thoroughly, it is important to place them on a soft, dirt-free surface. With the cleaning mat for vinyl records, HHV has created a solution that makes caring for your vinyl even easier.
Place the record in the middle of the cleaning mat and use Vinyl Care products such as the practical cleaning roller to remove dust and dirt from your vinyl. CDs or DVDs can easily be placed in the corner of the mat. The use of a plastic adapter is recommended for cleaning 7-inch records.

Normally, Reco-Clean alone is effective enough, but we have developed a special additive (cleaning booster) as a countermeasure for stubborn stains that cannot be removed easily.

How to use
1. Apply a small drop of Reco-Clean PLUS to the required area.
2. Wipe off with a Reco-Cloth, pressing it lightly against the surface of the record as if polishing it.
3. Clean the entire surface again with regular Reco-Clean.
4. Wipe off completely with the Reco-Cloth.

*Always re-clean (rinse) with regular Reco-Clean after use.

Our record washing machine Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic combines over 45 years of experience in the care and cleaning of records with highly developed, state-of-the-art cleaning technology.

The combination of ultrasonic cleaning and our proven goat hair brush system ensures gentle, groove-deep cleaning of your records and an audible improvement in the sound image.

During operation, the cleaning fluid is permanently clarified by a filter system and dirt particles are filtered out to minimise impurities in the fluid and thus achieve the best possible cleaning result.
With our special cleaner, the record is treated antistatically and thus permanently prevented from renewed soiling by adhering dust.
Our washer is ready for use in just a few steps and the intuitive operation ensures optimal results from the very first record!

Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic
Cleanliness you can hear! A powerful ultrasonic transducer (46kHz.) generates with so-called cavitation bubbles that act directly on the dirt and remove it gently and effectively.
The ultrasonic waves also reach places that are inaccessible to conventional cleaning methods and ensure cleanliness down to the depth of the groove.

Micro Wet Brush

Spray a cleaning fluid onto the velvet brush and brush along the sound groove of the record. Then wipe with a soft cloth. After use, dry the brush thoroughly, remove any dust and store it in its box. If the body becomes brown and dirty, we recommend that you replace it as soon as possible.

100ml of cleaning fluid that can be used to enhance Degritter record cleaning machine’s effectiveness.
1-2ml of fluid can be added per one tank of water.
