AFI flat.2 Record Flattener / Relaxer
The Audio Fidelity Improvement flat.2 is a cutting-edge multifunctional record flattener and relaxer. It flattens vinyl LPs, Maxis and Singles. Using special flat mats and high-quality control electronics the flat.2 achieves an utterly even distribution of heat and therefore results that have been out of reach until now.

Preset programs provide for very simple handling. The Standard program reliably eliminates most of the warps. In addition to that, there is an Expert program with flexible settings.

The flat.2 works very precisely and has several protective mechanisms to ensure very high product and process safety. Allocation of temperature on the surface as well as at the top and bottom is homogenous. Deviation of the target value represents less than 0,25 K.

Another distinctive feature of the flat.2 is the Relaxation program. The vinyl record is heated (and afterwards cooled) very slowly, evenly and controlled to temper the record. This thermal process of tempering is a traditional physical method and causes a considerable sound improvement in most cases.

A slim construction and first-class manufacturing out of special hard glass emphasize the elegant and timeless design.

Your record player needle also needs cleaning and care. Due to the air pollution caused by both external influences (traffic) and domestic factors (kitchen, smoking), a sticky film can form on your records over time. During playback, the stylus scrapes this deposit out of the record groove, which in turn creates a sticky film around the tip of the stylus, which in turn traps other dirt and dust on your record.

These deposits not only affect sound quality, but can even damage your favorite records. Nagaoka AM-801's special formula efficiently dissolves and removes any sticky substances trapped on the needle.

The tightly woven velvet on the brush surface is ideal for cleaning the sound grooves of the record and also enhances the cleaning effect. Fine dust adhering to the record is removed. In addition to the CL-120 velvet brush, a special brush is supplied to keep the cleaning surface of the brush clean.

The CLV-30 cleaning cloths consist of a tailor-made knitted structure woven with ultra-fine fibres, which is particularly water-absorbent. There are two wipes in one package.

Cleaning gel for records, floor coverings, joints, blinds or keyboards. Stubborn dirt is reliably removed. Can be used several times.

Cleaning spray for records. The high cleaning effect suppresses static electricity. Wipe dry after spraying.

Antistatic cleaning spray for records. Cleaning will reduce the frictional resistance of the needle.

Because of sensitivity to heat, the storage method you use for your analog vinyl records is important to avoid warps and other damage. Aging can also cause warping of vinyl records, and extra care should always be taken. By gently heating the record evenly and with a uniform pressure the vinyl can be returned to its original flat state without degrading the audio quality. Please note that SP records , heavy weight records, and flexi discs (also known as phonosheet or sooundsheet records) are not supported.

The Structure of Disc Flattener.
The Disc Flattener has semiconductor film applied in the top and bottom heaters of the unit allowing for a uniform heating process combined with an even pressure.

The ORB AUDIO DF-01i A+ is a meaningful further development of the DF-01i and was designed for all vinyl formats: singles, maxis, mini LPs and LPs. The device is able to heat corrugated records by a defined heating in three different temperature programs and to level the record again.

Waved records have a considerable influence on the optimal scanning process of the pickup system and lead to higher ambient noise, increased wear of the scanning needle and the sound carrier as well as poorer sound reproduction. Some records cannot be played back at all.

The ORB DF-01i A+ record iron heats up the vinyl, smoothes the surface and improves the conditions for an optimal scanning process. Pickups and records benefit from durability and quality. The heat treatment of the vinyl relaxes the material, which is very advantageous for the sound reproduction of the record. The differences in sound between wavy and smoothed vinyl are clearly noticeable. The ORB iron improves playback quality and preserves the value of your valuable pickups and vinyl treasures.

The ORB iron consists of a solid metal frame construction with two heating surfaces and an integrated timer at three temperature programs. The temperature programs Low, Medium and High are adjustable. The temperature program High is especially suitable for LP's with 180-200 grams. The Disc Flattener is designed for 7", 10" and 12" disc formats and is not suitable for shellac discs.

The + version comes with an adapter that also allows flat vinyl ironing.

Vinyls with groove guard with raised platemark are supported by both versions by default.

Cleaning a record collection can be tiresome. There are many ways to de-dust your precious collection. All of them have one thing in common, you have to clean the records while they are put at rest. Sweep it E goes the other way. You can enjoy listening to your records while they are being cleaned. Simply place Sweep it E on your turntable and make sure that the brush is placed before the needle. This way the grooves will get clean right before the cartridge can pick up sound from it.
Sweep it E is made out of durable and resistant aluminium to make sure it lasts a long cleaning-life. With the heavy weight base it stands firmly on your turntable. Magnetically Stabilized Record Broom

Easy and effective cleaning arm

Record brooms have been around since the early 1970s. Some of them do a good job, some rather not. In many cases the brush rushes towards the middle of the platter, running out of sync with the tonearm. This phenomenon is known as skating. Recent developments aim to tackle this problem. Here the highly efficient neodymium magnet comes into play. These magnets are used to stabilize the record broom of the Sweep it S2. Sweep it S2 is constructed in collaboration with Klaus Mick and uses his patented technology to stabilize the record broom. Extensive theoretical and empirical research has been put into the development of this product.
The magnetic attraction between the neodymium magnet – based in the top part of the cylinder – and the [Fe] core/counterweight stabilizes the record brush. Moreover, the distance between the neodymium magnet and the [Fe] core/counterweight is carefully chosen to ensure a specific magnetic stabilization force. As the aluminium of the brusharm is paramagnetic, it acts like an additional space between the neodymium magnet and the [Fe] core/counterweight.
Sweep it S2 is height adjustable within a range of about 1cm. The position can be locked with the set screw on the base. With this mechanism, it is possible to adjust the height of the arm of the record broom in order to align it horizontally with the platter. A correct horizontal alignment ensures the correct tracking force of about 6g.
Flexible placement

The record broom can be placed in one of two left hand side corners of the turntable. The placement is depending on the type and shape of your turntable. At the optimal position the brush should align with the spindle (i.e. the center of the platter). Deviations (relative to the spindle) between 1,5 to 2 cm are well compensated by design of the Sweep it S2. Higher deviations can cause more drastic skating effects.
