After only three months of playing shows, DAG Nasty went into Inner Ear Studios with IAN Mackaye. Dag With Shawn was recorded on Halloween Day 1985 and features the original line-up of the band with Shawn Brown on vocals. Initially songs from this session were to be released as a four-song 7-inch on Dischord, but shortly after the recording Shawn left Dag Nasty and the tape was shelved. In early 1986 the band re-recorded the entire album with new vocalist Dave Smalley and released it as Can I Say. Shawn went on to form the much loved Swiz and Dag Nasty went through several more line-up changes over the years, including another vocal switch when Dave Smalley was replaced by Peter Cortner. This original session has only been previously available as partial out-takes and unauthorized bootlegs and, until now, has never been released in its complete form. This recording, taken from restored master tapes, offers a unique view into the early development of one of DC’s most influential bands. LP includes a download.

De Brassers were one of the most notorious bands in the Belgian new wave/punk history. With their no nonsense attitude they scared the shit out of the local catholic community of Hamont. De Brassers were a local mixture of the Sex Pistols (in the lowest gear) and Joy Division (they always performed a cover version of Joy Division’s Shadowplay), combining a criticism of bureaucracy and politics with experiences of psychological and existential tensions.

The doomed sound they produced channels the dark atmosphere of the late seventies and early eighties: the fear of atomic bombs, cold war pessimism, police violence against squatters, the first cases of Aids, and the grim years of Reagan & Thatcher.

“artificial Peace lasted barely a year, but in that short time managed to become a leading band in the early DC hardcorepunk scene. Pete Murray had played in the short-lived RED C while Mike Manos, ROB Moss and Steve Polcari were in a band called Assault & Battery. Towards the end of 1981 they formed A.P. and began playing around town. They were tight, fast, and aggressive, prerequisites for most of the DC bands of the time, but also had a unique sound and surprisingly catchy songs. I loved the band and offered to record them at Inner Ear Studios. In November 1981 the studio was still a 4-track in the basement of DON ZIENTARA’s family house. The ‘live’ room was actually his children’s playroom, and the mixing desk and tape machine were set up next to the furnace in what could be described as spacious closet. A.P. knocked out their 17 songs in almost no time. I think we recorded, mixed, and sequenced the tape in two or three days and were very happy with the results. There may have been some discussion about putting a few of these songs on a 7” EP, but at that time all of the label’s resources had been put into releasing Flex Your Head, our first full-length album. FYH was a compilation documenting the DC punk scene and since A.P were one of the great young bands coming up at that time, we included three songs from their session. There never was an opportunity to do anything with the other 14 songs as Dischord was poor and, like many of the bands in DC at that time, A.P. was not long for this world. However, before breaking up in the latter half of 1982, A.P. recorded again at CAB studios in Rockville, MD and released those recordings on a split 7” (w/The Exiled). This was the fi rst release on the Fountain of Youth label. After A.P. disbanded, Pete, Steve, and Mike started playing with Kenny Inouye and Andre LEE to form Marginal MAN. That band would release a 12” on Dischord as well as two full-lengths on Gasatanka and Giant respectively and continued playing for seven years. While working on the Dischord Archives, we came across the Artificial Peace November 81 session and decided that the tape should be finally and properly released in its entirety. Artificial Peace may well be an obscure band, but their effect on the DC scene was signifi cant and played a sure role in the evolution of the music.”—Ian MacKaye, 2010

Faraquet began as a side project featuring Smart Went Crazy members Devin Ocampo and Jeff Boswell, along with Devin's high school friend Chad Molter. Faraquet stepped up as a full-time band after the demise of SWC and started playing more shows, releasing a couple of singles as well as appearing on a split CD with Akarso. Due to their non-traditional time signatures and off-kilter arrangements the band was often described as “math-rock”—a description they never warmed up to. Faraquet felt more aligned with the Minutemen and both the passion of their live performance and their advanced sense of melody set them well above and apart from the basement scientist crowd. The View from This Tower was recorded by J. Robbins and released in November of 2000. In 2003 core Faraquet members Devin and Chad reunited to form Medications, who continue to release new music on Dischord Records. Remastered from the original tapes. LP includes a download.

In one of the most powerful comeback stories in recent history, THE Ghost Inside make a triumphant return the stage in Los Ange?les at Shrine Expo, in 2019. With the 5000 capacity venue selling out in mere minutes, the show as moved to it's parking lot, and selling over 8000 tickets by the end of on sale day. THE Ghost Inside will release Rise From The Ashes: Live At The Shrine via Epitaph Records. This live concert recording is from the band's 2019 sold out comeback show in Los Angeles, CA in the parking lot of The Shrine. On an early morning in November 2015, THE Ghost Inside was involved in an accident that claimed the lives of their driver, the lives of everyone in the other vehicle, and resulted in multiple injuries for all of the band members. Jonathan Vigil (vocals) suffered from a fractured back, ligament damage, and two broken ankles. Zach Johnson (guitar) has since had 13 surgeries for a femur injury. Andrew Tkaczyk (drums) ultimately lost his leg. The future of the band was very much up in the air throughout 2016, as everyone struggled to recover. The road to recovery was both mentally and physically extensive but THE Ghost Inside were determined to get back to doing what they love. Nearly four years later, the band did just that, returning to the stage July 2019. Originally meant to take place at the historic Shrine Auditorium, tickets sold out so quick that the gig had to be moved to the parking lot, selling double the venues capacity. Over 8000 people witness this return to the stage. The accident will always be a defining moment for THE Ghost Inside, but never what defines them.

For Wilkes-Barre's One Step Closer - the concept of home is complicated. The Erg's are classic pop punk band from New Jersey or fans of The Descendants, Husker Du and Dillinger Four:The Ergs! are an American punk rock band formed in 2000 in South Amboy, New Jersey, by three high school friends: drummer/lead vocalist Mikey Erg (Mike Yannich), guitarist/vocalist Jeff Erg (Jeff Schroeck), and bassist Joey Erg (Joe Keller). Through touring and recording the Ergs! became recognized on a national and international level, touring and playing with such noted acts as The Descendents, The Bouncing Souls, Lifetime, Less Than Jake, The Loved Ones, The Gaslight Anthem, Dillinger Four, None More Black, The Explosion, Municipal Waste, Lemuria, and more. They have appeared at a number of festivals including Riot Fest, Insubordination Fest, and The Fest, the latter of which the band played four consecutive years, including as a headlining act in 2008, and making a fifth appearance as a headlining reunion act in 2016.

THE Welders were an all-female Punk Pop band from St. Louis, MO. Formed by four young, teenage women in 1975; they started playing shows in 1976, in one of the toughest climates to get booked for bands playing original material. The Welders bonded over their love of The Monkees, The Beatles and early glam rock. The comedy of the National Lampoon Radio Hour and the Marx Brothers were just as big of an influence. The band played several shows in the St. Louis metro area and eventually caught the attention of a local photographer and newspaper owner. He financed a recording session in 1979, with plans to release a four song EP. The newspaper folded before the release could happen, and all that survived was a cassette copy of the recordings. The Welders continued for a couple more years after recording the EP. They had brief line up changes, and added an organ which shifted their sound more towards a '60s garage pop sound. They were ahead of their time again, pre-dating most of the neo-garage explosion of the '80s. By 1981, the band had moved on to other interests. In 2010 BDR Records (a sub-label of Rerun, designated for St. Louis area artists) issued that previously unreleased EP. The EP was well received worldwide and has been sold out for several years. This new collection includes a newly remastered and improved version of the 1979 EP tracks, along with other studio, rehearsal and live recordings. The LP includes a large, six panel insert filled with amazing photos of the band.

Londoners Buster Shuffle are back with a brand-new studio album, announced for release 18th March 2022. The new 10 track album is called 'Go Steady'. After the devastating effects of the pandemic and other recent UK/Europe touring difficulties that have directly impacted UK artists, Buster Shuffle have decided to Crowd Fund the record, using fan power to help them spread the Shuffle gospel far and wide. Jet says 'its been such a tough few years with the pandemic and so we thought we'd ask our loyal fans that have grown with us over 10 years plus, to help us get the album out there. It's not something that we have ever done before but we have seen other bands successfully engage with their fans to release music and we think the time is now for us'. Jet reached out to fellow punk music aficionados in the height of lockdown to release a hard-hitting AA side 7 inch single "Unsung Heroes" for charity. Bands that jumped to Jet's aide to feature on the songs, which raised key funds for the World Health organisation included members of Die Toten Hosen, Flogging Molly, Donots, Hepcat, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Rhoda Dakar, Toy Dolls, Talco and more. After this massively successful campaign and a great response from the fanbase, Jet and the boys decided to get back in the studio to put together a new batch of songs that form the upcoming 5th studio album that promises to feature their biggest songs to date. Go Steady will feature 10 tracks of Ska Punk, Rockney tunes including current single "New Badge For My Uniform" and will also feature the highly successful 7"single 'Sucker Punch Blues' which was released back in May 2021. "We wanted to add Sucker Punch Blues as its been such a hit with the fans. [ENG"Eat More Possum" is Antiseen's most acclaimed album, originally released in 1993 and now remastered for this vinyl reissue. ANTISEEN is an American punk rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina by Jeff Clayton and Joe Young in 1983. The name "Antiseen" serves as a deliberate deviation of the phrase "anti-scene" - the group not wishing to adhere to standard perceptions of punk rock in specific and rock music in general. Musically, Antiseen is influenced by groups such as the Ramones and Stooges, employing short, heavily distorted power chord-driven songs largely free of guitar solos or advanced musicianship. The band has a catalogue of over 100 LPs, EPs, CDs and DVDs recorded with various line-ups and have performed all over the world. Years after crawling from the primordial ooze of rural North Carolina, Antiseen proceed to bulldoze through the nineties with one quality release after another. Eat More Possum is one of the greatest specimens of gun totin', meat eatin', society rejectin' punk rock the Young / Clayton posse ever laid to wax. Young's guitar tone is particularly grinding, heartwarming like steel cutting machinery buzzing in your ear, capped by Jeff Clayton's trademark ursine raving. Speedballs like "Star Whore" and "Storm Trooper" are like chopper territory fights set to music, while anthropological studies on southern attitudes like "Trapped in Dixie" offer miles of perspective to the unfamiliar. The vegetarian torturing anthem "Animals (Eat 'em)" may be the tastiest nugget in this pannikin of dixie nihilism, and the boys nail one hell of a Ramones cover along the way. This is an absolute must for fans of extreme punk rock ala GG Allin, Dwarves, Poison Idea, etc.
