In the discography of Poison Idea, 1993’s We Must Burn is recognized as the capper on the most prolific period for Portland, Oregon’s Kings Of Punk, as well as the final album from their initial thirteen-year run. Well-seasoned and confident in their sonic skin, this album showed the musical progression the band had made while still holding on to the buzzsaw guitars of TOM “pig Champion” Roberts, the defiant bellow of Jerry A. Lang, and the other elements that positioned them as one of the forerunning units for American Hardcore punk. Continuing with their tireless reissue campaign for Poison Idea TKO Records unleashes We Must Burn for the first time on vinyl in over thirty years, in this hefty two-record set. In addition to the original album, a second LP of bonus material is included. Orange 9mm was formed by vocalist Chaka Malik (burn) in 1992 with Chris Traynor on guitar, Eric Rice on bass, and Larry Gorman on drums. The hardcore rhythm outfit are self-described as a result of being “happy and pissed off at the same time and playing at the moment.” Orange 9mm went on to release two full-lengths on major labels East West and Atlantic, releasing videos, and touring with bands such as Quicksand, Biohazard, Deftones, and more.

Rochambeau stands out because of the unique sound created by the band. However, a major part of why it sounds the way it does has to do with where the band recorded and who engineered it. Produced by Eric “E” Garten at For The Record Studios, this album has a polish to it that just wasn’t sonically happening when punk bands recorded at that time. As a result, Rochambeau captures the sound of the 1990s and also holds up over time. This four piece featuring Mike “Popeye” Vogelsang on vocals, Rob Haworth on guitar, Brian Chu on bass, and “Bob Violence” Beshear on drums, came together to create a sound that was unique to this band. With such influences as Hüsker DÜ, THE Descendents, Elvis Costello, as well as seminal hardcore bands of that time, Rochambeau occupies a special place in not only the band’s history but in the history of hardcore and post-punk music as a whole. Touching on such vast topics as heartbreak, racism, being your own worst enemy, and just about everything in between, Rochambeau continues to speak to new generations of listeners who hear it. As a result, their fanbase has remained as rabid and continued to grow, even today. The album represents the breakthrough that this post-hardcore band had, while also reminding bands in the present of the necessity to push boundaries and make music from the heart.

Farside was a melodic punk band from Orange County, CA, founded in 1989. Their sound was a mixture of ’80s post-hardcore (dag Nasty, Hüsker DÜ, and THE Descendents were big influences), ’90s alternative metal (helmet, Quicksand), and the power-pop sensibilities of the late ’70s (Elvis Costello), and as a result, the band never quite fit in on any bill they were booked to play. This resulted in the band never being completely definable, which suited the members just fine. Many current bands have cited Farside as an influence, and it’s clear that their music left a lasting impression on their dedicated and loyal fan base. The Monroe Doctrine, the band’s final album, was the culmination of ten years of progression for the band and reflects their diverse mixture of punk, post-punk, indie, and pop melodies.

Originally released in 2006, Seattle, WA’s Sinking Ships’ full-length Revelation debut, Disconnecting, took a look at the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Our questions will never be answered” hits harder than ever before. The album's artwork, an oil painting by frontman Phil Geck, serves as a bold statement. Created during George W. Bush’s presidency in 2007, it is an anti-war piece symbolizing defiance against government and corporate greed. Back in the year 2000, Julien Temple directed this account of Punk pioneers the Sex Pistols short but hugely influential initial career. The soundtrack – a mix of their classic tracks, rarities and a sprinkling of diverse artists from the Bay City Rollers and Sailor to Tappa Zukie and The Who – was only ever available on CD, making this its vinyl debut. Uncluttered by the other artists tracks, the OST spread across 2 slices of red and white vinyl includes sing along family favourites Liar, Anarchy In The UK and No Fun alongside lesser known but no less essential cuts Don’t Give Me No Lip, Road Runner and What’cha Gonna Do About It. Originally released in 1999, this limited, silver vinyl pressing commemorates the 25th Silver Anniversary of this classic debut from Orange County’s Death BY Stereo. In the last two and a half decades, Death BY Stereo has continued to play, tour, and release records. But even after all this time, this first album has endured and these songs still make it into every setlist.

In 1990, Judge had a new song entitled “Forget This Time” and there was a desire to record it and get it out into the wild. Additionally, the band had been touring and made some improvements to some of their existing songs; one standout was “The Storm,” which now had a breakdown in the middle that didn’t exist in the previous versions. Mike was excited about covering “When The Levee Breaks” (which was a bonus track on the Cdep, now a streaming bonus track) and the idea of his local buddy Todd Schwartz doing the harmonica solo. With these three songs the guys headed to Don Fury’s studio on Spring Street to record what became “The Storm” EP. One day Mike showed up on his Harley and the idea came about to run a microphone cable out into the street to record it rev, which you can hear on this version of “The Storm.”

Bristol's own Vice Squad were one of the earliest UK punk groups with a female lead vocalist. Beki Bondage was a heartthrob to any British lad of a certain age and her dynamic stage presence and vocal prowess made Vice Squad one of the most popular acts of the second wave of British punk. This killer collection features tracks from the Riot City singles plus demos. Another essential UK punk compilation from one of the greatest singles bands of the early 80's scene.

Quest For Certainty is considered by many to be the best Shelter record ever. Originally released in 1992, it is comprised of tracks from the No Compromise and In Defense Of Reality EPs with a track from the Voice Of The Voiceless compilation, a Black Sabbath cover outtake from those sessions, and two live tracks. The record was recorded by two different line-ups featuring Ray Cappo (youth OF Today, Better Than A Thousand), Vic Dicara (inside OUT, 108), Porcell (youth OF Today, Judge, Gorilla Biscuits), Graham Land (Better Than A Thousand, Battery), and Sammy Siegler (youth OF Today, CIV, World BE Free, Judge, Rival Schools).

Omega Sessions is a 5-song EP recorded by Bad Brains in 1980 and released in 1997. The tracks were recorded and mixed at the original Omega Recording Studios in Rockville, Maryland. The EP contains early versions of songs that eventually appeared on later releases, including a reading of "I Against I." Side B of the LP features a custom etching.
