Recorded after a hiatus lasting almost two decades, Part-Primitiv saw founder members Larry and Vin Cassidy joined by former Tunnelvision guitarist Ian Butterworth, as well as multi-instrumentalist Roger Wikeley. Combining raw postpunk power and retro-futurist electro, the album marked a convincing return to form and drew praise from reviewers.

Self-produced in 2009, Nature + Degree was the first Sxxv project to feature new members Stephen Stringer and Stuart Hill. Founder members Larry and Vin Cassidy are also joined on several tracks by Beth Cassidy, whose vocal style recalls that of her late mother Jenny on From the Hip and Love & Hate.

Legendary punk trio the Dils formed in San Diego in southern California and when they moved to San Francisco, bassist Tony Kinman found himself living with the Avengers, but once they hit Los Angeles in 1977 they began recording frantic singles for fledgling independents such as What? Records, Dangerhouse and Rogelleti for more melodic, country-influenced songs, pointing to their further reincarnation as Rank & File. Ace compilation Dils Dils Dils gathers early studio work and live recordings, this edition featuring two bonus tracks, recorded in LA in 1979. Crucial listening for all Dils fans!

Holding A Wolf By The Ears' was From Autumn To Ashes fourth album, originally released in 2007, and their final studio record ahead of their hiatus in 2008. This record is also the only one without the band's original lead vocalist Ben Perri. Musically, Shai Hulud has maintained the sound they initially re-invented— an angered and melodic, multi-layered blend of beauty and aggression. A Profound Hatred Of Man demonstrated a technical hardcore style that influenced the entire metalcore scene and broke through lyrical theme barriers. Hearts Once Nourished With Hope And Compassion displays some of the most honest and darkest thoughts of Shai Hulud’s career. From the opening guitar chord of “Solely Concentrating On The Negative Aspects Of Life,” it only gets uglier and more real with each track.

Scott Freeman lends his trademark vocals that have been compared favorably to Lifetime vocalist Ari Katz, with a unique note of political and personal thought, moving in directions not often aimed for by such tuneful bands. It’s rare for a record to have the charisma that 2006’s Facetious Folly Feat does, but even rarer when a record defines the aggression, heart and passion of hardcore music without trodding on beaten trails. With this effort, the Shook Ones show they are more than capable of sharing their passions and pains with the world, and most importantly, doing it in their own way.

For the first time on vinyl since its release in 1997, a classic of the classics where the Supersuckers lead the way and go cowpunk with releasing an Americana classic. Remastered in 2023. Featuring guest appearances from none other than Willie Nelson and Bouncing back from the setback of Sacrilecious, the Supersuckers recorded their most ambitious album with Must've Been High. Using their garagey, post-hardcore punk as a launching pad, they delve deeply into country, even recording with Willie Nelson on one cut. Tellingly, the Supersuckers sound their best when they go for a snotty update of cowpunk -- compared with their metal and Stooges-obsessed contemporaries, the band sounds positively fresh with the little bit of twang. Must've Been High is an intoxicating concoction of fiery riffs, goofy humor and punk attitude.

Following the differences that saw the original group implode on the road in 1989, Cryptic Slaughter’s guitarist Les Evans moved to Portland, Oregon, where he formed a new band with former Wehrmarkt and Sweaty Nipples drummer Brian Lehfeldt, plus bassist Bret Davis and vocalist Dave Hollingsworth, both formerly in local hardcore band Crud. Now metal was much more prominent and hardcore on the wane, but there are still signature tempo changes, here within longer, more complex song structures, prefacing the industrial and post-thrash crossover acts to follow. An enduring swansong for all lovers of these metalcore innovators.

One of the most legendary and longest lasting of English anarcho-punk acts, Chaos UK was formed in the southwest fishing port town of Portishead, near Bristol, in 1979, their lightning-speed protest anthems leading to top-ranking status internationally, most especially in Japan, where they influenced a range of emerging local hardcore bands. This compilation gathers the best of their Japan singles issued in the 1990s and early 2000s, including the ‘King For A Day,’ ‘Kanpai,’ ‘Making Half A Killing’ and ‘The Dangerous Study’ EPs, as well as bonus tracks culled from the Punk’s Not Dead compilation. Absolutely essential Chaos!

Originally released on No Tomorrow in 1996, this is the first vinyl reissue for ‘Operacion Dragon’, third album by the kings of Spanish 90’s Ramones-core: Shock Treatment from Castellon. Limited “punk Rock Raduno 2023” edition with slightly revised tracklist, now featuring their version of ‘Modern Machine’ by The Crowd.

Crunt began in 1993 as a kind of indie rock supergroup and had their 1994 debut album touted by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder. Crunt's members included guitarist/vocalist Stuart Gray (aka Stu Spasm) and bassist/vocalist Kat Bjelland. Gray was well-known in Australia by the start of Crunt for his past involvement in the bands Salamander Jim and the horn/guitar punk rock of Lubricated Goat, which included drummer Martin Bland who went on to play in the Monkeywrench. As for Bjelland, she was the frontwoman/guitarist for the Minnesota-based Babes in Toyland. Crunt was rounded out by drummer Russell Simins, who was the full-time sticksman for New York City's Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Each of Crunt's members were temporarily residing in Seattle when Gray conjured up the idea of starting a new group. After writing almost a dozen songs, the trio entered Seattle's Ranch studio in February of 1993 with Simins and Gray acting as the producers, and their friend John Dunleavy -- known for his work with the Supersuckers -- filling the role of engineer. A year passed before the group's self-titled album was released on February 15, 1994, on Austin, TX label Trance Syndicate, owned by Butthole Surfers' drummer King Coffey. The record was the imprint's first release from a non-Texas group. The debut of the full-length album coincided with the "Swine"/"Sexy" single on Australia's Insipid label, which was known for releasing singles by other bands such as the Cows, Urge Overkill, and the Jesus Lizard. Prior to the releases, there had been talk that the band was not going to just be a side project, but a full-time band in the same tradition as Babes in Toyland and the Blues Explosion. The trio had even planned a full-scale tour. By January of 1995, however, Crunt came to an end.

Some of man kind's most powerful words don't come from education or privilege, but erupt from the pain and roughness of the streets; they smolder through the cracks in the concrete until eventually grand truths are revealed, and the winds of change slowly emerge. It is with these notions in mind that old school Hardcore Kings Downset began to surface in Los Angeles, California in the early 1980's. A musical style that was distinctly Hardcore combined with Oropeza's MC abilities allowed Downset to stand out from other metal acts, while still being able to achieve a variety of tours with some of the most prominent bands of the time. After recently re-releasing the third album "Check Your People" on vinyl on End Hits Records, Downset's fourth album "Universal" originally from 2004 now follows, which will be available on limited colored vinyl for the first time ever on End Hits Records.

The second full-length release from one of Orange County’s most beloved hardcore bands. You Don’t Have To Be Blood To Be Family originally came out as the band was gaining massive momentum. The rising popularity of what became “metalcore” combined with a relentless touring schedule lent itself to the band eventually jumping to that next level. In 2021, there was a limited, 20th Anniversary pressing of this album on vinyl that was sold as a mail-order only item. This pressing marks the first time since the original 2001 pressing that this record has been available to stores and distros. The members from this line-up will be playing a one-off show (at least for now) this summer in California at Indecision Records 30th Anniversary show.

Often over-looked, Adamantium was one of the original pioneers of what came to be Orange County’s metalcore scene of the early 2000s. Locally, From The Depths Of Depression was a highly influential album that helped propel them to be that band that touring bands did not want to play after. Released in 1998, this 25th anniversary edition is actually the first time this album has been available on vinyl since that original, ’90s pressing. To mark the occasion (as well as Indecision’s 30th), the original line-up from this record will be playing a one-off show in California this summer.

Guns Of Brixton reissues the 1991 album from Spanish punk band Eskorbuto. Demasiados Enemigos ("Too Many Enemies") is not just the title of another disc by the blazing band from Santurtzi but the album with the difficult duty of putting an end to a legendary combo as we knew it. Eskorbuto was a band of its time and that is shown in every chord and every chorus, branded in fire through the years by those who danced and vibrated around the flames of this cursed band. This is a unique album -- special due to its legacy and the circumstances under which it was recorded. Now it is reissued on vinyl. If you didn't get it at the time or you were too young to know, now you have the chance to request the max from your turntable, not giving a damn if volume affects the structure of the building.

While the band only existed for a very short time, over 30 years later, its influence is still being felt. The Maniacs were one of 1977’s original first flush Punk Rock bands in London signing to United Artist Records and releasing the single Chelsea ‘77 b/w Ain’t No Legend recorded at Pathway studios and produced by early Sex Pistols producer Dave Goodman. The Maniacs played all the renowned Punk Rock venues in London, contributing two tracks to the Live at the Vortex album and appearing live at the Mont de Marsan Punk Rock Festival with the Clash the Damned and the Police in’77. The band were to crash and burn in true Punk Rock style at the beginning of 1978. Band members Rod Latter went on to join the Adverts. Robert Crash went on to working in songwriting & production with the Eurythmics and Robert Plant. Alan Lee Shaw went on to form the Physicals and worked with Brian James, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, Kirsty MacColl, Dee Dee Ramone and finally ending up as a member of the Damned. So Far So Loud is a 40th anniversary compilation of the most of the songs recorded in the brief history of the band including the UA single Chelsea ‘77 b/w Ain’t No Legend, the Live at the Vortex tracks plus studio and rehearsal demos. The album also comes with a fine collector’s collage of photos and memorabilia on both sides of the inner sleeve from the era.

Rocket 455 is a Flamin' Groovies-loving garage rock band formed in Detroit in 1992 after the breakup of local scene essentials The Nervo Beats. Although this was Rocket 455's third single, it was the first that featured the new, longest and current line up, including founding member Marco Delicato back in the fold as well as Steve ''Disco'' Nawara from the Electric Six. This 7'' was released on Devil's Night in 1997 and is notable as the first record ever produced and released by Italy Records.
