Each city/chapter opens with remarks by local hip hop journalists and ends with a map plotting every site-specifc rap lyric for that city, giving the reader the ability to take their own hip hop-specific tour of the city they love. He has worked as a designer and illustrator for a number of clients ranging from local independent record labels to large corporations, and has been working on his own series of Hip Hop illustrations, entitled “Evolution Of The B-Boy”. Besides his artwork, Mark 563 is an avid record collector and Hip Hop nerd, and has DJed alongside EPMD, Souls Of Mischief, J-Live, The Rza (Wu-Tang Clan) and many others.
