Hola Ghost started out as a duo in 2007 when making the soundtrack for the American horror comedy movie Cannibal Flesh Riot! by Academy Award winner Gris Grimly. The band was formed by Peter Sandorff (ex-Nekromantix) on vocals + guitar and Jeppe B. Jessen on bass, with the haunted drum machine Ghost 707. Drummer Kristian Sandorff (ex-Nekromantix) later took over drum duties skillfully replacing the machines haunted beats. The band have since added the horn section “The Haunted Horns” to the live and recording crew. The band is a reputable live band that have toured around the world playing venues and festivals of all genres. You simply can’t label the band in one genre.

Hola Ghost have released two albums with a new one in the making, contributed to several compilations, released singles and the two EP’s Chupacabra (2014) and Hate & Fight (2018). On this new vinyl release these two EPs are compiled on one album, with two bonus tracks, a rare single B-side, and the brand-new song Iron Reich.

In the mid-70s, the self-produced album "Knights Company" was secretly produced and sold in very limited quantities as a 2-disc set (LP + EP) by members of the Knights, a light music department at Kitakyushu City University.

Not only is it a rarity, being almost unknown even among connoisseurs, but this work boasts high musicality, fusing a black soul feeling strongly influenced by James Brown and others, with a bluesy and melodic West Coast sound and AOR feel.

Its charm has not faded at all even now, many years after its production, and it continues to shine brilliantly.

A miraculous masterpiece that is the trajectory of youth by the sharp young people of northern Kyushu who once dedicated themselves to music!

It has been reborn as a compilation album with condensed content, complete with high-quality remastering by 8ronix (Bullpen lab.) and a delusional band designed by osagodard (browse depart/luminous body)!

Our miracle was triggered by a single word from the late Otaki. "Why don't you make an original and put it on an LP?" Everyone wondered if it was really possible to do something like that. But gradually, their eyes began to change. From there, they spent six months creating their own music. They wrote songs, arranged them together, practiced, stayed up all night recording, and even made a vinyl chloride record. I'll never forget the help from friends other than the band members. I can't believe we were able to do something so crazy. That LP was revived for the first time in 47 years thanks to a certain encounter. It's the second miracle. Yoshio Nojiri (Gt.Vo.)

Since surfacing into the Scandinavian synth-pop scene 16 years ago, Nicklas Stenemo and Christian Hutchinson Berg aka Kite have steadily grown from local icons to a global phenomenon, yet until now they’ve never released a full-length studio album. Rukatama is a Japanese singer songwriter from Tokyo. After years with idol band Melon Batake A Go Go , she started her solo career in 2020. Most of her songs and works are written and composed by herself. Her voice & music sound like a contemporary citypop dream, with rock, electronic and sometimes mellow, jazzy, folk influences as well. You can catch Ruka’s live performances around Japan or internationally, sometimes in the UK or Italy where she performed lately with Italian idols “Erisu”. Back in 2022 she made her solo debut album titled “Misrule” on NarisuRecords/via Ultra Vibe Inc, where the cd /album has been available most of the time during Sunday Girls events as in Japanese Major Record shops as well. Finally, Rukatama makes her first vinyl debut ever outside Japan, via Tanoshii Records.

1994 is a perfect mix between UK 90s broken music and classic Japanese city pop with some jazzy vibes, where Ruka’s lyrics during the last years had a huge impact on the Italian crew, inspiring the whole Tanoshii project.

Mellow is the kind of song in which you can hear Rukatama soul during some sunset DJ set. It’s the perfect food for Balearic/Tropical heads, as deep lovers lost in classic music from Mondo Grosso, Monday Michiru, Masters At Work, Blaze, King Street Rec.It’ won’t be the first time that music like Mellow could be played in classic parties like Body & Soul or Club Shelter Saturday Night event in Nyc as well.

Mariya Takeuchi is set to release her long-awaited original album after 10 years! This marks the 12th original album by singer-songwriter Mariya Takeuchi, following her 2014 release 'trad'. The album includes theme songs from movies, terrestrial TV dramas, Netflix anime, TV wide shows, and news programs, as well as TV commercial songs. “‘Please Stay’, by The Cryin’ Shames, was the last song by producer Joe Meek to enter the UK Top 40, peaking at No. 26. Released on 18 February 1966, the song should have reached the top, but its progress was held back by the fact that the Decca record label had not pressed enough copies to meet demand. The collaboration should have been long and successful for both of them, but the Cryin’ Shames story is cursed with bad luck and, sadly, within a year of the success of ‘Please Stay’ the band broke up and Joe Meek died. This compilation brings together a first part of the material collected by Cherry Red on the double CD ‘The Tea Chest Tapes’ . The group began as The Bumblies, formed in Liverpool in 1963 by bassist George Robinson and singer Joey Kneen who had previously been in a band called The Calderstones, that included Tom Evans, who later went on to form the group Badfinger. The Bumblies’ name was taken from a television series of the same name featuring Michael Bentine. The rest of the line-up included Charlie Crane (vocals, harmonica), John Bennett (guitar), Phil Roberts (keyboards) and Charlie Gallagher (drums). Charlie Crane would be known in addition as ‘Carl’ or ‘Paul’ to avoid confusion with the other Charlie in the group. Joe Meek didn’t like the band’s choice of name so they changed it to The Cryin’ Shames. Ritchie Routledge replaced Bennett (guitar) after the recording of their debut single ‘Please Stay’. Derek Cleary (bass/guitar) replaced Robinson in time to play on their second single ‘Nobody Waved Goodbye’. After the original Cryin’ Shames fell apart, Routledge and Crane formed a group known as Paul And Ritchie And The Crying Shames with new members Brian Norris (bass), Mike Espie (guitar), Pete Byrne (organ) and Paul Commerford (drums). They released one single, ‘September In The Rain’. The group (as The Bumblies) auditioned for Joe Meek in late October or early November 1965 - the exact date cannot be ascertained because Meek’s tapes contain very little information, and only one or two of the more than seven hundred tapes actually bear a recording date...” (liner notes extracted from the Cherry Red’s booklet made by Mr. Craig Newton)
