On August 23, 2024, Andreas Dorau's 1994 album "Neu!" will be released in an exclusive "30th Anniversary" edition - for the first time as a yellow double vinyl, strictly limited to 500 copies and signed by the artist himself. It also includes two B-sides ("Meine Lieder (Musik wird wahr)" and "Von Siemens nach Telefunken") as well as two unpublished remixes that Mike Ink alias Wolfgang Voigt brought out of the basement especially for him and that were not released at the time. The double LP is rounded off with two remixes of "Komm wieder". The gatefold cover contains new liner notes by Hans Nieswandt. Each edition is hand-signed by Andreas Dorau. If you want, come to the HHV Store on August 30, 2024, where Andreas Dorau will celebrate the release of this record. There he will be happy to add a dedication to the signature.

“Neu!” was, from today’s perspective, a flawless 90s record. That this decade of innocent and still very fresh rave fun would become something completely legendary, a real place of longing that generation after generation of rave kids have fantasized about again and again since then, perhaps more so today than ever before – none of this was foreseeable in ’94.

“Neu!” is, thirty years later, as fresh and current as the decade from which this record comes, which in a certain sense never ended. If you want to be mentally transported back to its mythical, heroic pioneering days, either permanently or just for a bit of quality time, this album is perfect for you.

“Made Of Bricks” is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter Kate Nash, released in the United Kingdom August 2007. Kate Marie Nash (born 1987) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and actress. Nash rose to prominence in the UK with the sleeper hit "Foundations" (2007). Her debut album, “Made of Bricks”, peaked at number 1 in the UK and number 36 in the US. Nash won the award for Best British Female Artist at the 2008 Brit Awards.

Her second studio album, “My Best Friend Is You”, was released in 2010 and reached the top 10 in both the UK and Germany.
After being dropped by her record label, Nash self-released her third studio album, “Girl Talk”, March 2013. The album failed to match the commercial success of Nash's previous albums, though it charted inside the top 100 in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria.

In 2017, Nash also played "Rhonda Richardson," a.k.a. "Britannica," on the Netflix series “Glow”.

At the end of 2008, the Cologne band Locas In Love released their third album "Winter" as a follow-up to the surprise success "Saurus" (2007). Written and recorded within two months in the summer of 2008, it was meant to be uncomplicated, fast and immediate and consequently "Winter" was the band's first completely self-produced album, produced in living rooms between Cologne's Gereonsviertel and Brooklyn, NY. The title theme still makes it the most cohesive of their albums, and it is the document of a friendship. The reason for the vinyl reissue is only secondarily the 15th anniversary of the release or the fact that the album was long out of print, but primarily the unexpected death of LD Beghtol in 2020. Locas In Love got to know the exceptional New York artist as a fan of his music (among other things as a contributor and singer of the Magnetic Fields on "69 Love Songs"). On "Winter" he appeared as a quasi-member and co-producer and can now be discovered by new music fans with his masterful song miniature "Packice", this heartbreaking mixture of winter blues and cryogenic science fiction. And so the Berlin label Staatsakt (which has just celebrated its own 20th anniversary) is now releasing the luxuriously equipped reissue. The hand-numbered limited edition with new artwork by Stefanie Schrank contains the scrapbook designed by LD Beghtol, which was also included with the first pressing, an 8-page songbook with lyrics and chords, as well as the 68-page Locas In Love Winter Chronicles, in which tour diaries and other texts from the time are summarised with a current self-interview of the band. The extensive bonus material is less about myths or detailed writing and recording processes and more about what it means to be a band, to live with each other and your own music - and to grow old.

Musically, "Winter" is the Locas In Love album that can least be attributed to a specific time or genre - it could be a forgotten private press release from the 1970s or a neo-lo-fi work from the TikTok era. If it can be located in a time at all, then it's the eponymous season. Or, as Stefanie Schrank describes it in her self-interview: "Winter the album is like winter the season, belongs to it and always comes back."

“Good Girl Gone Bad” is the third studio album by Barbadian singer Rihanna. It was released on May 2007, by Def Jam Recordings and SRP Records. Rihanna worked with various producers on the album, including Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Terius "Dream" Nash, Neo da Matrix, Timbaland, Carl Sturken, Evan Rogers and StarGate. Inspired by Brandy Norwood's fourth studio album Afrodisiac (2004), “Good Girl Gone Bad” is a pop, dance-pop and R&B album with 1980s music influences. Described as a turning point in Rihanna's career, it represents a departure from the Caribbean sound of her previous releases, “Music of the Sun” (2005) and” A Girl like Me” (2006). Apart from the sound, she also endorsed a new image for the release going from an innocent girl to an edgier and more sexual look.

The album received seven Grammy Award nominations and one win in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for "Umbrella" at the 2008 ceremony. The album debuted also at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart. Certified quintuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), it sold more than 2.8 million copies in the United States. As of 2009, the album had sold over 7 million copies worldwide.

Things To Make And Do is the third album by the electronic/dance duo Moloko, originally released in 2000. It was a sonic departure for Moloko, with tracks less reliant on electronics and more on live musicians. In addition to the change in musical styles, the album featured new vocal technique, from the lead singer Róisín Murphy.

After the release of Things To MakeAnd Do, offers came in for Murphy to guest on others’ records, most notably The Psychedelic Waltons, Boris D. and Handsome Boy Modelling School. The album held the record as Echo’s fastest-selling UK Platinum record, until beaten by Feeder’s The Singles compilation six years later. Zero 7 were formed in 1997 by producers Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. In 2001 their debut album Simple Things was released selling over a million copies to date and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. They released their second album When It Falls in 2004. When it was originally released, When It Falls was a UK Top 10 album, peaking at no.4 in the UK album charts and spent 24 weeks in total in the charts. It has sold over a quarter of a million copies. Stateside the album entered the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart at #3 and stayed in the Top 20 of that chart for almost thirteen months.

“Music of the Sun” is the debut studio album by Barbadian singer Rihanna. It was released on August 2005 by Def Jam Recordings. Prior to signing with Def Jam, Rihanna was discovered by record producer Evan Rogers in Barbados, who helped Rihanna record demo tapes to send out to several record labels. Jay-Z, the former chief executive officer (CEO) and president of Def Jam, was given Rihanna's demo by Jay Brown, his A&R at Def Jam, and invited her to audition for the label after hearing what turned out to be her first single, "Pon de Replay". She auditioned for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid, the former CEO and president of record label group The Island Def Jam Music Group, and was signed on the spot to prevent her from signing with another record label.

After Rihanna was signed by Jay-Z, she continued to work with Rogers and his production partner Carl Sturken, as well as other music producers such as, Poke & Tone, D. "Supa Dups" Chin-quee, and StarGate. “Music of the Sun” features vocals from Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall, music group J-Status, and Jamaican singer Vybz Kartel. Its music incorporates Caribbean music such as dancehall and reggae, as well as dance-pop and R&B ballads.

The album debuted at number 10 on the United States Billboard 200. “Music of the Sun” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting shipments of over 500,000 copies.

Almut Klotz, may she rest in peace, became known as a musician through her work with the Popchor Berlin, the bands Parole Trixi and Lassie Singers, and as an author ("Aus dem Leben des Manuel Zorn", "Tamara und Konsorten" and most recently "Fotzenfenderschweine"). Together with Christiane Rösinger she ran the label Flittchen Records. The first two books were written with her partner, the universal talent Christian Dabeler (musician, songwriter on many records, not even all listed on Discogs, actor: Rollo Aller, Deichbullen, author, etc.). In "Fotzenfenderschweine", which Almut Klotz wrote about their love, you can get even closer to the couple. The original info text from 2007 says: "Klotz + Dabeler don't like to commit themselves and also leave the freedom to the listener. All the beautiful lyrics are embedded in the most wondrous glamour pop, which is not too shy to wander into the piepige and show everyone the bird. You can get pathetic: "Menschen an sich" is one of those rare albums that make you feel strangely understood and embraced right from the start - despite or perhaps because of all the unanswered questions. Ian Campbell was born in Nottingham (uk) in 1968. In 1980 he left UK to join a breakdance group. During a tour of Italy Ian fell in love with the “bel paese” and decided to stay on and find a job as a singer or DJ. His first love was rap, above all Raggamuffin (due to his Jamaican origins). In 1989 by chance he met the producer Robyx, who decided to record a track with him. In just a few days, the first single "Easy" was ready. Within a few months it became a success first in Europe, then worldwide. The project was called "Ice MC" and the songs were sung, written and played by Robyx, while Ian took care of the rap. The album “Cinema”, and two further singles, “Cinema” and “Scream” followed this first success. The three singles sold a total of two million copies, and the album around five hundred thousand! After more than 30 years, DWA is proud to announce the re-print of this album on vinyl, a special gift to all collectors of ‘80s / ‘90s hits.
