Intro is an American R&B group that emerged in the early 1990s. The group consisted of members Jeff Sanders, Clinton "Buddy" Wike, and lead vocalist/songwriter Kenny "G-Love" Greene. They gained popularity during the golden era of R&B and enjoyed success with their soulful harmonies and smooth ballads.
In 1993, INTRO released their self-titled debut album Intro, which featured the hit singles "Come Inside," "Let Me Be The One," and "Love Thang." The album received critical acclaim and showcased their ability to deliver heartfelt ballads and merging R&B tracks over hip hop beats. The smooth harmonies and passionate vocals of Kenny Greene and the group's overall chemistry made their music stand out.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, we are proud to reissue the band's debut album for the first time as an expanded 2LP edition. Intro (Expanded) is available as a 30th anniversary edition of 750 individually numbered copies on orange (LP1) and green (LP2) coloured vinyl. Ian Campbell was born in Nottingham (uk) in 1968. In 1980 he left UK to join a breakdance group. During a tour of Italy Ian fell in love with the “bel paese” and decided to stay on and find a job as a singer or DJ. His first love was rap, above all Raggamuffin (due to his Jamaican origins). In 1989 by chance he met the producer Robyx, who decided to record a track with him. In just a few days, the first single "Easy" was ready. Within a few months it became a success first in Europe, then worldwide. The project was called "Ice MC" and the songs were sung, written and played by Robyx, while Ian took care of the rap. The album “Cinema”, and two further singles, “Cinema” and “Scream” followed this first success. The three singles sold a total of two million copies, and the album around five hundred thousand! After more than 30 years, DWA is proud to announce the re-print of this album on vinyl, a special gift to all collectors of ‘80s / ‘90s hits.

Not since Ray Davies has a songwriter been able to craft such sharply observed vignettes in the space of a three-minute pop song like the late Adam Schlesinger. And on 2007’s Traffic and Weather, Fountains of Wayne’s fourth album, Schlesinger took his art to a new level, singing short stories as varied as crushing on a DMV clerk (“Yolanda Hayes”), celebrating the sexiness of a car not generally considered sporting (“92 Subaru”), being broke (“Strapped for Cash”), and having luggage lost by an airline (“Michael and Heather at the Baggage Claim”). And while it lacks a radio-friendly hit like “Stacy’s Mom”—it should be mentioned that Chris Collingwood only contributed three songs to this record—there are still earworms aplenty, particularly on “I-95,” Collingwood’s “Seatbacks and Traytables,” and the title tune. 180g Vinyl!Elizabeth Anka Vajagic followed up her 2004 debut full-length with two long-form incantations channeled through the full range of her blistering, astoundingly intimate voice. As the title suggests, Vajagic cuts deep into a couple of timeless themes, with both title pieces featuring extended instrumental and noise passages. "Nostalgia" and "Pain" were both recorded by Howard Bilerman at the original Hotel2Tango during the sessions for Stand With The Stillness Of This Day, and allowed seasoned improv-noise players like Sam Shalabi (guitar), Michel Langevin (drums) and Fluffy Erskine (bowed objects) to stretch out and serve up a harrowing skronk. The EP closes with a 4-track home recording done in dead of winter, at the end of 2004. These are chilling vocal lamentations framed by sometimes ghostly, sometimes galloping sonic texture. From quivering falsetto to guttural glissando, Vajagic's voice gets a complete workout on these long, immersive songs. A pure, direct and unflinching emotional document that completes the song cycle begun with her debut album, and will wring the hearts of fans and newcomers alike.

Certainly one to have haunted a good amount of Discogs wantlists over the past years, Thankyou brings it back again remastered for 12” format with a new edit from Castro that cuts off some of the harder-to-digest vocals along with a more to the point “bonus beats” as well.
