Alexia (real name Alessia Aquilani) was born in La Spezia (Italy). In 1990 she joined the DWA Team, first as a studio vocalist, singing on the hit song "Please don't go" by Double You, then she took part in the "ice MC" project, a musical project with a rapper and Alexia as singer. All of Europe was dancing and singing to the songs "Take away the colour", "Think about the way" and "It's a rainy day" and everybody became familiar with Alexia's beautiful clear voice. In 1995 Robyx decided to compose a song especially for her. "Me and you" was her first single and within just days of its release, its presence was felt across Europe, reaching no.1 in Italy and in Spain. As a follow-up to "Me and you", the new single, "Summer is crazy", came out in 1996. The song reached the top of the charts and became the signature tune for "Festivalbar", the most popular Italian summer music festival. It was no.1 in Italy, Spain and Finland, top 20 in France, top 40 in the rest of Europe and was one of the biggest summer successes of 1996. As summer drew to a close it was time to create a new song fit for Alexia's incredible voice. In November 1996 Alexia released her third single, “Number One”. It proved to be a smash hit, going to no.1 in Italy and many other countries. In January 1997 recording of her first album “Fan Club” began. It was released in May 1997 together with a new single, "Uh la la la", for the imminent summer season. "Uh la la la" was the most played and danced song of that summer! It reached no.1 in Italy, Spain and Finland and made top ten throughout the rest of Europe. The album sold more than six hundred thousand copies and was awarded many gold and platinum discs.

The British shoegaze pop band Engineers was formed in London in 2003 by Mark Peters, Simon Phipps, Andrew Sweeney and Dan MacBean. MacBean is also known as the guitarist in The Shining. After being signed to Echo Records, the band released their self-titled debut album in 2005. The album features the acclaimed tracks “Home”, “Forgiveness” and “Waved On”. The latter was produced by Tim Holmes, who worked with The Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream and multiple albums for Death In Vegas. Engineers is available as a limited edition on white coloured vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve.

The group’s story begins in 1991 when the singer William Naraine met the producer Robyx. In January 1992, after some demo recordings, they released the monster hit “Please don’t go”. With more than three million copies sold, "Please don’t go" earned an abundance of gold and platinum records worldwide, including America and UK, where it was the biggest hit of 1992. The second single "We all need love" was recorded in June 1992 during a European tour. It strengthened and confirmed the worldwide success of Double You as it quickly climbed to the top position of many of the world’s charts. A demanding repertoire, full of suggestions and emotional references, which the "Pantera di Goro" faces with the usual professionalism, making herself truly credible thanks to her technique and total participation. Recorded in Bolzano on May 14 - 17 2001, this masterpiece is back on the market today in an unreleased collector's version.

Milva, along with the “Quintetto Argentino di Daniel Binelli”, with this album, express the different shades of Astor Piazzolla's tango. Milva was the preferred interpreter of the late Piazzolla. Why this was so becomes clear in these recordings: intense music, passionately interpreted. The diva is accompanied by the “Quintetto Argentino di Daniel Binelli”, who is also represented with his own compositions. Also on this recording is the piece "Che Tango Che" which Piazzolla wrote especially for Milva. Filippo Crivelli (theater director of the show) explains: "El Tango is a magical evocation of hidden worlds; the Tango rises enigmatically then impetuously until the voice of Milva materializes. Then Milva herself, barefoot amid shards of blinding light, an unusual mix of primitive worlds filtered through a forgotten civilization: images, flashes, glances, postures, an anthology of sensations and memories. El Tango is magic, the magic of an exceptional voice, Milva; the magic of Daniel Binelli’s bandoneon". Recorded live at Orchard Hall, Shibuya, Japan on June 20-21, 1998, this masterpiece is back on the market today in an unreleased collector's version.

New Flava Volume 1 is an audacious project birthed in Austin Aggrey-Odoom's brain in the Spring of 1995. Austin, being a devoted Christian as well as a massive music fan, was a regular at different churches across the London Area during the mid-90's. He then connected with many young aspiring Gospel/Soul/R&B singers and had the idea to produce a Gospel album that could appeal to a younger crowd, mixing US R&B influences, to create a new kind of Christian R&B that could have radio potential, while showcasing U.K.'s underground Soul talents from the Gospel community. His love of God and passion for music would finally merge into this hybrid compilation project called New Flava Volume 1. With the help of producer Paul Cumberbatch, they recorded a selection of the finest voices that Austin could find amongst the Gospel circuit. Inspired by popular US R&B/Hip-Hop artists of that time, they aimed to recreate a heavy and well-polished sound that would resonate with the fans of Mary J. Blige, Joe and SWV amongst others. The result is quite mind-blowing, Cumberbatch's top-notch productions make a strong foundation to let the artists shine throughout the compilation, such as Tyrone Henry on the instant-classic « Time For You And Me » or the label-favorite « Heaven Is In My Home » by Jasmine Kirby. The U.K. has always been a great hunting ground for Soul talents, and this compilation is yet another example of it. Now for the first time on 2LP, New Flava Volume One is a must-have for any 90's R&B collectors !
