Fabiano de Nascimento, a popular Brazilian guitarist in Japan, and Shin Sasakubo, a guitarist from Chichibu, Japan, who has been linked with South American music and other parts of the world, are releasing on LP a guitar duo recording that started when they performed together live in Japan. The three-day recording began four days after Fabiano do Nascimento and Shin Sasakubo's first concert together. The Brand New Heavies' album "Heavy Rhyme Experience Vol.1" remains widely listened to even more than 30 years after its release, as an innovative work that connected UK club jazz with US hip-hop through collaborations with artists and bands like Main Source, The Pharcyde, Gang Starr, and Black Sheep. From this historic album, two significant tracks, 'Soul Flower feat. The Pharcyde' and 'It's Gettin Hectic feat. Gang Starr,' are being released for the first time as 7-inch singles.

It's hardly necessary to say at this point, but Otis Rush holds a very special place for modern blues fans. The period when he recorded for Chicago's Cobra Records from 1956 to 1958 can be seen as the birth of a new era of urban blues following B.B. King. From these timeless blues treasures, the first single from his Cobra Records era and Rush's signature song, "I Can't Quit You Baby," is being reissued on a 7-inch vinyl. The A-side features the original version, where Willie Dixon's craftsmanship boldly cuts the intro, starting with Rush's powerful roar for a striking impact. The collaboration between Chicago funk band Southside Movement, who released a total of three albums between 1973 and 1975 on Wand and 20th Century Records, and female soul singer Jackie Ross, also based in Chicago and left many records for Chess and Brunswick. The fabulous collaboration is forgotten so long as it hasn't been released officially though a few test pressing copies only exist. In 2023, P-vine reissued their only full-length on vinyl for the first time. And now, the most highlighted song "You Are The One That I Need" is finally available on 7inch vinyl!

This album is the work of Copeland Davis with his own band, released in 1975. He continues to perform energetically as a pianist to this day, and later gained attention and popularity in Japan during the Free Soul and Rare Groove movements. The opening track, "NO Arms CAN Ever Hold YOU," features a beautiful melody played by Davis's refreshing piano. In contrast, the instrumental numbers are also superb, including "PERFIDIA," where light, lively touches intertwine with percussive beats, and the high-tempo, driving groove of "SO IN LOVE." In 1969, Sahib Shihab and five leading members of the Clarke-Boland Big Band, including Francy Boland, Jimmy Woode, Kenny Clarke, and Fats Sadi, recorded this album for West Germany's Vogue label. The album features the exquisite Latin jazz track "Seeds," the waltz number "Peter's Waltz" dedicated to his son, and the modal piece "Mauve." Each track is highly stylish and sophisticated, showcasing a pinnacle of European jazz that could only be achieved by this exceptional lineup.

Released in 1982 by Rita Marley Music, the label owned by Bob Marley's wife, Rita Marley, CASUAL-T's "Prescriptions For Love" is a record shrouded in mystery.
