Volume four of this tantalising Loveface De-mixes series, sees another triple threat of ‘80s infused, electro boogie rework gold, supercharged, and firing on all cylinder from the LFM DeLorean. Be quick though or this one might just slip on back to the future.

Seatbelts fastened, Delorean fired up, it’s round two of Loveface’s De Mix series of releases. Providing you with three shimmering, ‘80s electro boogie workouts, guaranteed to seduce any tentative souls or shy shufflers to the dancefloor.

The second release on Gamm from Love Drop delivers two seriously heavy disco cuts aimed straight for the small basement clubs.

Love Drop returns with his third EP on Gamm and we dare to say that this is his best one so far. On the A side we're taken on a +10 minute long Lebanese inspired jazz-oriental-disco journey that perfectly blends east and west together...epic shit! On the B, we take a trip to Brazil together with George Duke for a grand brazil-disco jam that has a huge sing-a-long anthem chorus...re-run the summer all year 'round!

Take a much-loved UK soul gem, Loose Ends classic from ‘85 ‘Hangin’ On A String’ and hand it to the godfather of house, Frankie Knuckles to work his unquestionable magic and there was no doubt the result would be a slice of house music heaven. South Street Records unlock the vaults once again, reissuing this melding of transatlantic minds presenting a triple threat that sees both Frankie’s 1992 Club Mix and the elusive Classic Club Reprise sit alongside the Loose Ends Original 12 Inch Mix, on either side of a 12 inch. Taking the best of London’s soul and coupling it with the heart of Chicago, the master Frankie Knuckles purrs this one out across the highways with a slung-back house interpretation of ‘Hangin’ On A String’. A bumping beat, punchy bass line and effortless percussive touches give the perfect platform for Loose End’s vocal dynamics to provide a power, emotion and sincerity often lacking in modern dance music. Flip it over to find the Classic Club Reprise - straight up sunset business with Frankie side-lining the vocals to let the instrumentation sing with added trademark flourishes in true spiritual style. Finally, the Original 12 Inch Mix gets a well-deserved inclusion which, back in 1985 was a true game changer bridging a multiplicity of scenes in the UK with its use of drum machines and synthesizers whilst maintaining that pure soul vibe. A track that topped the US Billboard R&B chart, making Loose Ends the first ever British band to do so, it’s a UK soul classic drenched in drum machine hits, soaring synths and crunchy guitar licks that’s infused with an ‘80s electro style and a quintessentially London flavour.

Following on from their holy grail house find for Cr002 - unearthing, unreleased tracks by Marshall Jefferson and Jungle Wonz as played by Ron Hardy at the Music Box, which Marshall subsequently recreated, Club Chi'll Records' next instalment is another Chicago house bomb. ‘Passing Runner’ melds the minds of Chicago native Lloyd Dev, the legendary Jungle Wonz member Harry Dennis and the CCR All-Stars (the Club Chi’ll Records in-house group), stirring up all the best elements of the Windy city’s vibe. Blending emotive pianos, shuffling percussion and weighty basslines, with perfectly complimented sax licks and deft synth lines. On the flip side ‘Passing Runner (Club Chilled)’ is a delightful, balearic tinged mix that gives listeners a licence to chill.

Samosa Records releases are coming thick and fast in what could be their finest year yet. Lex & Locke are the latest talent to make their Samosa debut with their ‘Pacifica’ EP – a sublime three tracker which is mouth watering from the off. First up is Balandra. From the moment you hear the raw four to the floor drumbeat, you’re under its spell. The infectious bass riff moves the scenery around a little, whilst the subtle bongo attack teases what’s to come. And what’s coming is a funky, rolling cosmic lead synth that has no right to sound that damn sexy, no right at all. The vibe quickly grows into an interstellar journey, aided by an outrageously funky clav jam that gets inside your head. Balandra feels like the soundtrack to an ‘after dark’ undercover stakeout in a 1970s cop thriller. Detectives Lex & Locke are on the case and the evidence is compelling. A unique, 122bpm funk bomb which has the Samosa fingerprints all over it. A2 is Cabo Pulmo – continuing the vibe of Balandra, Lex & Locke lay down some serious grooves in what initially sounds like a live funk band jamming away in the studio without a care in the world. No soon as we get into the beat and the bass, there’s an immediate switch to a swirling, bold cocktail of funk infused with a touch of jazz that belies the 124bpm tempo. The production is expertly tight; layers of synth, electric organ and punchy guitar riffs make this ideal for both the sun terrace and the dance floor. You’re under arrest, and Lex & Locke are reading you your rights! The final track, Nine Palms has a real quirky, almost broken beat feel to it with its high-hat ride pattern and punchy bass drum. A wickedly twisted analogue organ riff is quickly introduced, which is cleverly used as both a rhythm device and the melodic platform that sets up the whole track. Lex & Locke seem to be total masters of a ‘free-style funky synth lead’, and we’re treated to another slice of this particularly tasty pie in ‘Nine Palms’. Whereas Balandra is the late-night stake-out, Nine Palms is the final act where Lex & Locke high five each other following another successful bust. The Pacifica EP has a wonderfully intimate and assured vibe about it and is sure to feature in many a summer soundtrack. This release also proves that Samosa Records aren’t afraid to go off the beaten path occasionally - and when it’s this good we’re more than happy to follow. Leitstrahl were raised on a strict diet of electronic music. Electro pop. Italo Disco. Synth movie scores. This was the bread and butter of this three man Austrian outfit. With more than fifteen years of band history, the trio of Stoff, Paul Raal and Boogaloo Steve are as proud as punch to announce their debut album: Chromium Dioxide. For their thirteen tracks the triumvirate have pooled their enthusiasm and experience, calling on a string of friends to give their selection a unique energy and emotion. Jon Jon, aka John Foster, of Bronski Beat fame, offers his vocals for the rollercoaster ride of “Europa Supersaw.” Nicole Jaey’s mellifluous voice soars in the blazing “Chevrolée,” Christina Mirabilis lends her sweet lyrics for the fiery “Girotti” with Jimmy Baker voicing the pop heartbreak of “White Tail.” Synthlines sparkle across the collection, magical melodies pirouetting in a haze of deep Summer sun. There's a mystical place in the heart of Rotterdam, oddly tucked in between the corporate buildings. Bright light boards and red velvet carpets, it's a small cinema that still breaths its old-school grandeur. That's where the Cinerama Adventures project was born, lead by its staff supervisor DJ Overdose. The result are two tracks that go from modern flavored freestyle to sleazy darkroom experiments, both accompanied by the instrumental versions.

Latitude is sprung out of the wicked musicianship of Parisian jazz-funk and fusion mavericks and Saint-James tight and adventurous compositions and production. All that jazz combined with David Cukier (Greita) retro-futurist engineering skills in these intense sessions captured in his cutting edge vintage Delta studio. On A Side, "Leo (Extended Mix)" is an uptempo disco track for the dancers but also a beautiful song for the summer. A seductive number with a pregnant classic French jazz-funk feeling with the help of Parisian singer Club Celest’s energy and beautiful voice. It comes on digital as a short edit for radio but as a serious extended 12inch mix on the vinyl with 8 minutes and 10 seconds of pure pleasure, ending in a real climax after an irresistible percussion break. On B1, "Attitude" enchanting quality shines with a banging rhythm section and goes for the win as an anthem chorus while sweeping synths keep on growing till the very last drop. On B2, Reggae/Dub don Mato(Stix Records) delivers a sweet dub wise riddim for the Lovers Rock massive.

Lagoon is the protagonist of the ninth release of the Spanish label Several Roots, a collective of national artists that aims to roll out native talent and of which they are co-founders together with other travelling companions. Alta Ley is formed by three original tracks and three remixes by Musculo!, Jackwasfaster and Adhesive. This EP is the third work by the Galician duo and the first vinyl release by Several Roots. Electronics that, far from being linked to any specific style, offers a musical variety that goes from downtempo to breaks, including space disco or IDM.

Japanese veteran dj&producer “kza”(half of dj duo “force of nature”) have released his first solo album in 2009 on only cd. KZA is one of best dj in the modern disco/house scene in japan and also well known as vinyl digger. this album was made with his knowdlege from his big collection of vinyl. We’re listening this album at studio mule and feeling we should release this album on vinyl. Finally we are going to release this epic modern disco album on 2lp.

King Pari is an almost accidental project. Cameron Kinghorn and DJ Stepmom didn’t even set out to start a band. When Joe (DJ Stepmom) texted Cameron some jams whipped up on his tape machine, Cameron hit him back with “what is this? I want in”. Ten minutes before they first linked up, Joe built the loop for their first single, ‘Sunshine,’ which they then wrote on the spot in a flurry on collective inspiration. The rest of their forthcoming ‘mary EP’ grew from recording sessions in Joe’s Northeast Minneapolis bedroom, a guest house in New Orleans and a cabin in rural Wisconsin. Minneapolis left an obvious mark — the influence of Prince and the Minneapolis Sound, approached from a fresh psychedelic angle. It’s been called stonersoul, lo-fi R&B, dub meets 80’s electro with a heavy dose of funk. Grab it now through Earcave via PPU.. Nous'klaer warmly welcomes fellow Rotterdammer Kems Kriol for his debut: Equanimity EP. Consisting of three beautiful downtempo excursions touching on Cape Verdean and Colombian styles with a contemporary electronic approach. Three cuts reflecting the personal journey of Kems towards calmness and composure - and coincidentally a perfect soundtrack for the summer ahead. Besides being a multi-talented musician himself, Kems is also a producer in the classical sense - the EP wouldn't be what it is without the great performances of vocalists Wantee Teelapa and Sara Mariam Lima, and musicians Moises Toscano Fuentes (flute) and Bintang Manira Manik (percussion).
