Another excellent soundtrack by Piero Umiliani, maybe his famous one ever,
this time composed for Luigi Scattini’s film “SVEZIA, INFERNO E PARADISO”
(Sweden, Heaven and Hell), a so-called ‘mondo movie’ entirely shot in the scandinavian
country which the title refers to. Umiliani’s music is able to emphasize the different moods
of the movie: at times dramatic, on other occasions ironic or peaceful.

The Blade Runner soundtrack by Vangelis is a dark melodic combination of classic composition and futuristic synthesizers which mirrors the film-noir retro-future envisioned by Ridley Scott. Vangelis, fresh off of his Academy Award winning score from Chariots of Fire, composed and performed the music on his synthesizers. The musicscape of the 2019 was created in Vangelis' "space" mode of new age music, as heard on such albums of his as Heaven and Hell. Watching the elusive adventures of Melody O’Brian and Sascha Hehn on the beach of the Mauritius with the finally erupting volcano (!) during their love scene, you will never forget the music of Melody In Love (1978). Responsible for the soundtrack and for more than 200 other films, mainly in the erotic genre, is Gerhard Heinz Shameless / Schamlos (1969), The Naked Countess / Die Nackte Gräfin (1971), Julia: Innocence Once Removed / Die Nichte der O. Titles like Svenska Disco Machine provide flawless disco-funk, Bangkok At Night appeals to arose directly out of a James Bond movie from the 1970s, Die Sieben Sünden is a Vienna Melange consisting of Chanson and Easy Listening and Dampfnudeln (sweet yeast dumpling) have never been prepared that voluptuous as in this alpine homage of Je t’aime.

The enormous variety from marvellously arranged and sung Beat, Bossa Nova, Pop and Groove Jazz stands out from the mostly bad films and makes this compilation a highlight of our past repertoire.

Also known under the erroneous title "Schock", this LP is the soundtrack of Mario Bava's eponymous film, also his last one before his death, which sadly occurred three years later in 1980. "Shock" was therefore released in 1977, while the Italian horror cinema was at its peak, led to international success by Dario Argento with "Deep Red" and "Suspiria".
With Goblin at work with Argento, the choice for the music of "Shock" fell on Libra, in some ways 'related' to Goblin anyway, thanks to drummer Walter Martino and guitarist Carlo Pennisi, and they also say about a fleeting participation by keyboardist Maurizio Guarini. In '77 Libra, after a brief experience on the American soul/funk label Motown, had practically split up, yet they found the necessary inspiration to record an album like "Shock", maybe 'goblinian' in its intentions, but full of personality. It contains in fact groovy tracks, delicate and acoustic atmospheres, up to completely dissonant and avant-garde sounds.
"Shock" was released on LP only in 1977 in Italy and Japan, therefore this new AMS Records edition is therefore the first official reissue after nearly 40 years! A small yet important event, celebrated with a colored vinyl encased in a beautiful triple gatefold cover with a marvellous new artwork! The track list also includes four bonus tracks which have been released only on CD until today. A must!!!

Originally released in just a few copies for a small label owned by a friend of Maestro Sorgini, this LP includes 12 really beautiful tracks with positive vibes. Composed and directed by Lavagnino, 'Kali-Yug' is one of the best soundtracks ever written by the late Maestro. Known for his beautiful orchestral themes, Lavagnino outdoes himself in 'Kali-Yug', with stunning exotic themes which makes this score a must have for serious soundtrack collectors. Original artwork.
