The Fast and the Furious is the most successful movie franchise of all time, with almost 6.5 Billion dollars in box office receipts from ten films over the past 20 years. Tokyo Drift is often sighted as the best of the lot, and the musical score is definitely one of the most lauded among score fans. Brian Tyler scored Tokyo Drift, (with an assist from Slash on “Welcome to Tokyo”), and went on to the score four of the five subsequent films. This album has never been available before on LP. The very poor CD cover will be replaced with a new art design based on key art or a new animation. This double disc will feature an orange LP for sides A and B, and a black vinyl record for sides C and D, with side D featuring a stencil of the scarab beetle design that appears on the door of the car belonging to the Drift King. For this OST, Carlo Savina composed lounge background music, at times dominated by a mysterious Asian vibe and by sophisticated jazzy vibes. "Gold Snake", the main score, is interpreted by the fabulous voice of Iva Zanicchi, written for a symphony orchestra, and accompanied by the New Orlandi choir (the piece was recorded on 45 RIFI RFN NP 16141). The leitmotif is reprised in a shake version and a slow danceable version. The well-known actress Yoko Tani, the film’s protagonist, performs the romantic piece "Crazy", which is also recorded in an instrumental version. The spy aspect of the plot is emphasized by suspense and action music. For this LP the mono master tapes of the recording session were used.

Cooperating with the compact plot, each note is closely related to the progress of the plot, arousing the audience's emotions, creating a tense atmosphere and enhancing the dramatic effect. In the first act of drug dealing, the struggle between good and evil is perfectly demonstrated. In addition to plots and images, music also plays an important role in certain scenes. Cai Qin's song 'The Forgotten Time' connects two protagonists with different fate trajectories. Another example is the scene where Huang Sir was thrown off the building and died, and Feng Xiyu hummed the episode 'Goodbye - Police', like the sound of the sounds of nature, I feel sorry for Huang's death. When fans recall the scene, the music often comes to mind at the same time.

Charlie Chaplin is best known as a silent movie star, but he was one of the few who made a successful transition to "talkies", and also became a prolific and inventive composer of soundtrack music. An article on CharlieChaplin.com claims: "...the pinnacle of his composing career is most assuredly the complex and innovative score to Modern Times (1935-36). It marks a vast mental and practical leap from his previous score to City Lights made up of primarily dance-band forces of fewer than 30 musicians, to the symphonic proportions of 64 players as required by Modern Times. This decision was not so much due to many a composer s inherent taste for ego-driven sound power, as is so often is the case for new composers who, upon hearing their work for the first time, are allured by the mere numbers, but rather it was a conscious choice warranted by the film itself. The thematic imagery of Modern Times would provide a complex array of symphonic ideas to any composer, but no more so than to the man who created them in the first place".

Chopping Mall is a 1986 American horror film co-written and directed by Jim Wynorski, produced by Julie Corman, and starring Kelli Maroney, Mary Woronov, and Barbara Crampton. It focuses on three high-tech security robots turning maniacal and killing partying teenage employees inside a shopping mall after dark.

Chuck Cirino is an American composer with over 75 feature length projects to his credit including including film, TV, and web. Known for an energetic and experimental approach and his usage of electronics and synthesizers, Cirino's soundtrack to Chopping Mall remains a cult classic.

A Banquet is a visually arresting, slow-burning psychological horror that uses subtle supernatural elements to create tension within a family in the midst of a breakdown, exploiting the complicated bond between three generations of mothers and daughters. Variety likens it to Lars Von Tries’ Melancholia and Jeff Nichol’s Take Shelter. ‘A Banquet’ sees composer CJ Mirra reunite with Scottish director Ruth Paxton for this her feature length debut following their festival favorite BBC short Be Still My Beating Heart, in Ruth’s words:

“CJs score for A Banquet is an expression of luxurious tragedy. The work is evocative, menacing and beautifully haunting all at once. A lingering body of powerful compositions: the work is not only exquisitely atmospheric, but definitive of the film itself. I treasure my director-composer partnership with CJ and his fundamental contribution to our film’s unique identity”

For the score, which includes some production by Dan Carey and vocals by One Little Independent’s Tusks, Mirra utilised a rare a synthesiser called a Swarmatron and a 70s synth called Synthi, played through guitar amps for percussive and rhythmic elements. Mirra also experimented with woodwind in an unconventional way, both elements create the suffocating and anxious atmosphere that the film delivers.

Mirra says of the film, “A Banquet’ is not a straight up horror film. There's elements of the genre, but we wanted the music to really keep a sense of constant anxiety, of never feeling settled, even if the main focus is on beauty or tenderness. The film is visually laced with so much texture and we wanted to reflect that in the instrumentation.”

Steven Soderbergh’s take on Stanislaw Lem’s influential sci-fi tome Solaris was incredibly polarizing at the time. Some didn’t want to see it simply because it starred heart-throb George Clooney in what is essentially a mostly solo role, some didn’t appreciate it in light of legendary Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky’s overtly spiritual take on the same book. Soderbergh says of Martinez's pivotal role and his score, "I relied on it not only to unify the film emotionally, but to import actual narra-tive information." Martinez himself describes it as "one of the few soundtracks of mine that I can still stand to listen to.

I also think it was a score that made the greatest contribution to the film for which it was written." Described by BBC Music as "A brooding slow, meditative work" and a musical journey that "leaves the listener floating free" by Soundtrack.net, "Solaris' is an evocative and highly seductive score that still fully resonates with the listener more than a decade after it was first released.

Those that did manage to take it in would have noticed on thing in particular though – composer Cliff Martinez‘s haunting and deeply influential soundtrack. Percussive, but anchored with a slow, deeply affecting synthesized bass line throughout, the soundtrack served as a nudge in the right direction for drone-lovers and ambient types, and still sounds fresh even now. It’s hardly surprising then that Portishead’s Geoff Barrow has had the good sense to make sure it finally gets pressed to wax through his Invada imprint.

Back in the 1990s video games were still largely seen as nerdy: fun, sure, but basically a guilty pleasure that you'd soon grow out of. The release in 1995 of wipE'out'', a lightning-fast, razor-sharp, futuristic racing game that helped to launch the PlayStation in Europe and North America, changed all that. This was a game that looked and sounded both adult and cool, the kind of game you would put on display in your living room, rather than hide away under your bed. Key to this was the fact that wipE'out'' borrowed unashamedly from the clubbing experience and electronic music, in a way that put it at the heart of progressive mid 90s culture. It soon became a phenomenon. wipE'out'' looked sensational, with Sheffield agency The Designers Republic - known for their work with Warp - creating the visuals, packaging and manual for the game, drawing heavily on the bright colours and excitable geometric shapes of the rave and club flyers of the early 90s. wipE'out'' also sounded like a new rave dream. The European version of the game included music from The Chemical Brothers, Leftfield and Orbital, the kind of fashionable game syncs that were almost unheard of at the time. Equally striking was the game's original music, which came from Welsh musician Tim Wright, aka CoLD SToRAGE, by this point already a veteran in the video games world, having worked on the music for Amiga titles such as Lemmings and Shadow of the Beast 2. His music for wipE'out'' was, if anything, even more extreme than the big-name syncs, mixing the accelerated beats of drum & bass with the pure synth rush of trance to make music that sounded as breathlessly exciting as playing the game felt. These tracks were burned into the brains of millions of gamers; the soundtrack to a generation of late-night anti-gravity racing, as the sun gingerly rose beyond the curtains. But they haven't, perhaps, quite got the respect they deserve, something that this release will address. In 2023, video game music is finally getting its dues; here, remastered and repackaged -and also remixed by cutting edge producers such as Kode9, ?-Ziq, Brainwaltzera, Simo Cell, Wordcolour, James Shinra, Surgeons Girl and Dattassette- are some of the most important, thrilling, innovative and most fun songs ever committed to game release.

Directed by David Blue Garcia, the film centers on Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. About the composer:

Born in England, David Buckley's first involvement with film music was as a cathedral choirboy performing on Peter Gabriel’s score for Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ. He continued his musical education at Cambridge University. In 2006, David moved to Los Angeles where he began collaborating with Harry Gregson-Williams on film scores, including Shrek The Third and Gone Baby Gone. He has written music for films including Wonder Woman, all the Fifty Shades movies, Big Eyes and American Hustle, and his music was featured in David O’Russell’s Joy. David was honored as a ‘Brit to Watch’ by Bafta.

For television, David composed the music for the hit Scott Free/CBS drama series The Good Wife and continues to score the spin-off, now in its sixth season, The Good Fight (for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Title Music).

As well as film and TV, David has written the music for a number of games, including Batman Arkham Knight.

Buckley's soundtrack to THE Sandman is a lush and dynamic composition overflowing with analog synthesizers, full orchestra, sound design, and even usage of ancient instrumentation. It grants each character in the series their own theme, and effectively transports the listener to an otherworldly, dreamlike setting.

Byrne plays a visitor to Virgil, Texas, who introduces us to the citizens of the town during preparations for its Celebration of Specialness. As shot by cinematographer Ed Lachman, Texas becomes a hyper-realistic late-capitalist landscape of endless vistas, shopping malls, and prefab metal buildings. In True Stories, Byrne uses his songs to stitch together pop iconography, voodoo rituals, and a singular variety show. Byrne calls the record “an immersive audio voyage into the little town of Virgil, Texas, in the mid-eighties.” He continues, “I always imagined that the music written for True Stories should be heard as it is in the film. Stanley Kubrick has a troubled past with Deerhoof. An argument over whether Eyes Wide Shut was good almost broke up the band in 1999 and again in 2003. But once a Halloween release date was proposed, Deerhoof couldn't resist. Music that in the movie echoed from some ghostly, gilded past takes on a more urgent character in Deerhoof's versions, as if to underscore that the horrors of white supremacy, oligarchy, and domestic abuse are alive and well in 2018 America.

1983's 'Amore Tossico' is a legendary cult film, directed by Claudio Caligari. Arranger and pianist Detto Mariano wrote the entire score on his Fairlight series IIx, a now revered synthesizer that had just entered the market that year. The sound is therefore scary and up to date, a true companion to the vivid and rough imagery of the movie. Featuring sound from the original tapes, the LP is pressed on deluxe 140-gram vinyl and packaged in a gatefold sleeve. You also get a bonus CD of the entire album plus a reproduction of the original film poster.
