ENGLEMAKER is a raging hardcore / punk / metal band from Oslo city east, where the moon is cold and riding the subway is fucking terrifying. Formed by four old, jaded assholes on the onset of the seemingly endless winter of 2012/13, hell-bent on being the heaviest, least jocular hardcore / punk / metal band in Europe and wiping the floor with a continent of haircut enthusiasts, scenester wimps and snot-nosed Internet forum dildos. Past and present engagements of the members include Summon the Crows, Eskatol, Betongbarn, Ungeromimizu, Mine, Cataract, Arma Gathas, just to name a few. The name ENGLEMAKER (angelmaker) comes from a dark chapter in Norwegian history and stands for a person who received children in need against payment, and intentionally neglected them so they died – hence the term "angelmaker". Since no floor boards in Norway could handle their power and might, ENGLEMAKER stumbled into the dusty forests of Karlstad, Sweden to record their self titled debut record at Leon Music with Rikard Løfgren and Gustav Ydenius. The end result is five tracks of double hard bad attitude in just below eleven minutes, to be released as a one-sided 10" on the band's in-house label DISIPLIN MEDIA. ENGLEMAKER tune their guitars to C# like "Master of Reality", listen exclusively to BOLT THROWER and the ZZ TOP "Eliminator" album, and are currently planning to come and lay waste to your town. When a band is more than a decade of age, the tradition is to give numbers instead of writing down epic poetry on their music, right? Well, regarding Kruger, here we go : 12 years of existence ; 4 albums ; around 350 shows throughout Europe ; probably 50'000 km touring between Prague and Sheffield (if you don't count Canada) ; 1 tour overseas (if you do count Canada) ; 3 Hellfests, 1 Roadburn, 1 Montreux Jazz, 1 Transmusicales, 1 Dour festival, 1 Paléo, 1 Brutal Assault ; live audiences ranging from a minimum of 2 people (still working on breaking that record) to a maximum of 2'500 (working on that one too). If we had to give names, it'd be Listenable Records, Roadburn Records and Pelagic for labels ; Unsane, Gojira, Knut, Year of No Light, Latitudes, Deftones, Hacride, Bossk (find the intruder) when it comes to stage mates ; Breach, Entombed, Neurosis or Tool as acknowledged influences. And Raph, Margo, Blaise, Reno and (newly) Raul as the names of the five Swiss dudes still delivering uncompromising, intense, inventive yet shellacking noise-metal-punk songs. After a few months spent to raise the kids, earn real money, find a reliable second guitar guy and write new music, KRUGER are back with new material : a gorgeous very-limited-handnumbered-collector-coloured 10'' vinyl containing two brand new songs, along with a new video clip. Two songs only, kidding me ? Nope. Swiss quality, not quantity - and this should be enough to put the Lausanne-based noisemongers back in the post-metal panorama they contributed to shape. CHAOS A.D.: EXPANDED EDITION includes a newly remastered version of the original album along with 17 bonus tracks. Among the highlights are a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Symptom Of The Universe” that was originally issued as a B-side, plus nine scorching live versions of album tracks like “Territory” and “Biotech Is Godzilla.” Also featured are several unreleased instrumental tracks that the band used during rehearsals for “Clenched Fist” and “Propaganda.” Three years after Chaos A.D., the band returned with Roots, an album that was deeply influenced by Brazilian rhythms, which were incorporated into tracks like “Itsári” and “Ratamahatta.” Since its release in 1996, the album has sold more than two million copies worldwide.
