Azusa have inked new partnerships with Indie Recordings and Solid State Records to release “Loop Of Yesterdays”, the highly anticipated follow up to 2018’s critically acclaimed “Heavy Yoke”. Although equally broad in scope, “Loop Of Yesterdays” finds the band with more to say but less to prove, achieving a more aerodynamic and accessible approach to their intricate sense of song-writing and inherently technical style. On their sophomore release, Azusa step off the tightrope and stand with feet on solid ground. Expanding on ideas first presented on 2018’s album Heavy Yoke, Azusa seek to captivate audiences with their unique blend of melodic-thrash, jazz-fusion, hardcore and early 90’s riff pop sensibilities.

Led by guitarist/vocalist Gabriele Fiori, also of Black Rainbows, Killer Boogie come across as more geared toward the retro-style '70s rock currently holding sway on the European scene in the wake of Graveyard‘s blues rock supremacy, but their take is rawer than most, and that gives them an edge. After a split with other cool bands of the scene as Golden Grass, Banquet and Wild Eyes the band wrote a wonderful sophomore album in the spring 2017 and recorded in the summer. Founded in 1990 in Helsinki, Finland-based melancholic metal masters AMORPHIS wrote music history, incl. classic albums like f.e. their debut The Karelian Isthmus (1992), their breakthrough Tales From The Thousand Lakes (1994) and Eclipse (2006), their first album with the new vocalist Tomi Joutsen, which marked the beginning of a new era in the band‘s history. Regardless of their relentless touring schedule, they secretly returned to the studio to write and record their forthcoming, twelfth record with famous producer Jens Bogren (SOILWORK, KREATOR etc.) at his Fascination Street Studio in Örebro. The result of this two-month recording session is once again a heavy, melodic statement, called Under The Red Cloud . During the recordings, the sextet was joined by some famous guest musicians: Chrigel Glanzmann (ELUVEITIE) played flutes on 'The Four Wise Ones', 'Death Of A King' and 'Tree Of Ages', Martin Lopez (ex-OPETH drummer) played percussions on 'Death Of A King' and Aleah Stanbridge (TREES OF ETERNITY) sang guest vocals on 'The Four Wise Ones', 'Sacrifice' and 'White Night'. “It was a great honor to have such talented musicians appearing on Under The Red Cloud ,“ guitar player and founding member Esa Holopainen comments. “Each one of them puts his/her personality and character in the very right spot.“ The whole recording process was a time full of extremely intense work for AMORPHIS. “It was the first time, that I woke up at 08.00am to start recordings. They went on until 06.00pm in the evening - every day! But the result was definitely worth it,“ the guitarist continues. “It was a great experience and Jens made us playing more aggressive and working really hard“, drummer Jan Rechberger adds. Jens Bogren also handled the mixing and mastering of Under The Red Cloud . A perfect example for the variety and feel is the first single 'Death Of A King'.It starts with an oriental melody & crashing drums, and has a lot of dynamics.

No one album could ever capture the claustrophobia-to-catharsis of an Eyehategod show, but this compilation of live tracks and demos comes as close as it gets. Giving you an idea of Eyehategod’s uncompromising, single minded purity of expression and exertion of raw nerve, “10 Year Of Abuse” is a monumental document all the way from the demo era to their later, legendary relentless live tour set. Many other bands have tried unsuccessfully to emulate Eyehategod and have never quite captured their dynamic. Formed in 1988 in New Orleans they have become one of the most well known bands to emerge from the Nola metal scene. Eyehategod note bands like Melvins, The Obsessed, Discharge, Black Flag, Black Sabbath and Saint Vitus as major influences, but are often mentioned in the same breath as any of these legendary bands. Drawing comparisons to Grindcore, Crust Punk and Sludge Metal, their heavy bluesy, detuned rock and roll has been a lynchpin for the misanthropic and disenfranchised. Eyehategod has released five studio albums to date with a sixth in the works and have toured all over the world in a career spanning over thirty years. Though the band has never released a live album, we are left with “10 Years” as the only official witnessing document to decades of decimating live sonic abuse. Released on May 29, 2001, “10 Years” spans seven live tracks from their European tour in 2000, a live radio show from August 1994 and four songs from an early 1990 demo. The result is a feedback-laced window into that wonderful, brutal Eyehategod “sound”, that addictive, lower-than-low note that nestles somewhere in the pit of your burning, alcohol-soaked, nauseated stomach. The booklet alone is a delight for anyone who worships at the altar of Eyehategod’s oppressively heavy, crushing riffs. With personal liner-notes, that set the scene and describe the unique vibe of the band’s sound and live show, including old flyers and posters from concerts and photos of the different line-ups from 1990 until today, the package is an immersive insight into one of the paramount heavy Sludge bands of our time. Debut EP from instrumental prog metal act Navian - Reset EP! The instrumental prog metal act Navian build their music on technical melodies, interesting rhythms, big soundscapes, and groovy hooks. Inspired by bands like Plini, Intervals, and Polyphia the band’s debut EP has been described as “..special and challenging in so many ways” (RockNews) and “with a freshness and a bounce that is entirely infectious...” (ManofMuchMetal). The band met while studying for a bachelor’s degree in contemporary music and they were all working as session musicians on the side. With their shared interest in music theory and history, and devotion to production, instruments and gear the friendship quickly resulted in a band rehearsal, and Navian was born. It all started out as musical playground; a place where the trio could challenge themselves and each other and play the music they desired. As such Navian is a space where the trio can work to perfect their techniques and skills. “To work on really difficult arrangements, stuff it feels like we’ll never learn to master, and then spend numerous hours and finally master them anyhow. That feeling – a feeling of pure joy of through accomplishment, is indescribable. It is the driving force behind our music and something which we all love.
