Caligula formed in 1984 in New York City and were part of that legendary wave when punk and metal bands started crossing each other's territory and playing shows together. Caligula raised their banner high playing shows with the likes of Whiplash, Carnivore, Sheer Terror, Crumbsuckers, Agnostic Front, Rest IN Pieces and many more. "Technical Aggression" is their 1987 Demo featuring five songs of fast and violent thrash metal that betrays the hardcore influence only in its speed and in the super-aggressive approach. The LP version features 4 extra never heard before tracks recorded live at the CBGB's in 1987 with an incredibly good sound. The CD version features the whole CBGB's show as bonus and two additional tracks recorded live in 1988, never heard before as well. No one album could ever capture the claustrophobia-to-catharsis of an Eyehategod show, but this compilation of live tracks and demos comes as close as it gets. Giving you an idea of Eyehategod’s uncompromising, single minded purity of expression and exertion of raw nerve, “10 Year Of Abuse” is a monumental document all the way from the demo era to their later, legendary relentless live tour set. Many other bands have tried unsuccessfully to emulate Eyehategod and have never quite captured their dynamic. Formed in 1988 in New Orleans they have become one of the most well known bands to emerge from the Nola metal scene. Eyehategod note bands like Melvins, The Obsessed, Discharge, Black Flag, Black Sabbath and Saint Vitus as major influences, but are often mentioned in the same breath as any of these legendary bands. Drawing comparisons to Grindcore, Crust Punk and Sludge Metal, their heavy bluesy, detuned rock and roll has been a lynchpin for the misanthropic and disenfranchised. Eyehategod has released five studio albums to date with a sixth in the works and have toured all over the world in a career spanning over thirty years. Though the band has never released a live album, we are left with “10 Years” as the only official witnessing document to decades of decimating live sonic abuse. Released on May 29, 2001, “10 Years” spans seven live tracks from their European tour in 2000, a live radio show from August 1994 and four songs from an early 1990 demo. The result is a feedback-laced window into that wonderful, brutal Eyehategod “sound”, that addictive, lower-than-low note that nestles somewhere in the pit of your burning, alcohol-soaked, nauseated stomach. The booklet alone is a delight for anyone who worships at the altar of Eyehategod’s oppressively heavy, crushing riffs. With personal liner-notes, that set the scene and describe the unique vibe of the band’s sound and live show, including old flyers and posters from concerts and photos of the different line-ups from 1990 until today, the package is an immersive insight into one of the paramount heavy Sludge bands of our time. A vision of pain and neglect, they’ve done thousands of shows, never predictable in their tension and ultimately, release. King Howl's new album, titled "Homecoming" will be released by Electric Valley Records on June 9, 2023. The work represents a new chapter in the band's stylistic universe, spurring King Howl's trademark sound while mixing it with new compositional and sound influences. A mix of blues, stoner, psychedelia, and classic rock that paints the soundscape of an on-the-road story set in 1960s America, a narrative plot that permeates the entire work, accompanied by a constant sonic evolution, always on the road. Thus, King Howl returns to the theme of travel, the band's favorite concept from the beginning. In this story, a young protagonist escapes from a rural setting witnessed by the blues sounds of opener "The Rooster" and rock'n'roll anthem "From the Cradle," followed by the beginning of the journey on the Kyussian railroad of "The Train." This leads to the nineties echoed Spoken-word of "John Henry Days" to the classic rock sounds of "Motorsound," a true ode to the big truck engine's vibrations. Consequently, the sonic journey flows into the oblivion of "Slowly Coming Down." Here, doom and psychedelia carry a dark foreboding. "Tempted," on the other hand, is a successful mix of country blues and stoner rock, an influence more and more present in the desertic "Jupiter," a track inspired by one of the characters in writer James Anderson's novel "The Never-Open Desert Diner." At the album's heart, the theme of travel and change symbolizes the animal world with the powerful "The Great Blue Heron." This song is marked by the sound of the Hammond organ, which makes the piece even more granitic. "Homecoming" then pays homage to the great Rolling Stones with the sixties classic "Gimme Shelter." Then it concludes this incredible journey with "Home," an angry but hopeful homecoming. An epic in music, a round trip of growth and change, of damnation, redemption, and rebirth. The album was recorded in Sardinia by Roberto Macis and Willy Cuccu and mixed by Nene Baratto and Richard Behrens at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin, a key production hub for international heavy Psych (Kadavar, Samsara Blues Experiment, Elder, Wucan). A sound production focused on an "organic" analog sound, thanks to the use of vintage gear and a reel-to-reel master made by Nene Baratto at the Berlin-based Morphine Raum Studio.

And just like that he did it again, vanished. At this point Krano is an expert in the art of disappearing, after the dust settles he retreats, fades away into the hills behind Valdobbiadene and shuts down communication. It took four years to rescue from the vaults ‘Requiescat In Plavem’, Krano’s 2016 country-psychedelic masterpiece, a Venetian songbook for the Piave river shrouded in mystery and wonder that turned heads across the music circuits. Seven years later he’s back with ‘Lentius Profundius Suavius’ an incredible collection of songs about loss, solitude, death, darkness (Profundius) and sweetness, devotion and friendship (Suavius). Absolutely aching with soul, these ten songs channel rollicking twang, cosmic electric americana, honky-tonk mystics, noir gothic and fuzzed out spiritual rock’n’roll. As some would say, only the good sh*t, a masterclass in songcraft and true loner folk.

Who knows how, but ‘Lentius Profundius Suavius’ was vaguely inspired by the work of Italian peace activist Alexander Langer, a forgotten hero that relentlessly worked on eliminating ethnic boundaries and fostered ‘togetherness’ and true values of solidarity and ecological renaissance. “Slower rather than faster, deeper rather than higher and gently rather than hard” was Langer’s motto and fittingly is the reason behind the album’s title.

Krano’s music runs free, transcends barriers, a distillation of broken dreams tinted in black and white, where having the blues is not just a feeling but something you can’t shake, a wayfaring outsider on a journey side by side with players like Bill Fay, Robbie Basho, Skip Spence, Dave Bixby, inevitably bound to burn in eternity.

22 years, several ep’s and splits, 3 full lengths and countless tours around the globe, Hellshock are still standing relevant and still playing some of the heaviest riffs in the world wide punk scene. Where most bands of the crust genre seem to lose the fire and filth or simply break up before their prime, this band seems to get more powerful with each release and this long awaited LP is no exception! This recording features the addition of Robbie Chronic from Ripper on guitar who adds some real sick fucking solos on top of the established rolling crust riffage that the original core group had perfected years ago. Neck aching tempos, sheer brutality, growled anguished vocals, and epic song writing without straying from pure unadulterated crust. For the seasoned Hellshock fan, you know you will already love this album and it will only exceed expectations. For the newcomer, if they were to ask “what is this crust/stenchcore thing about?”, I would point them to Amebix, Deviated Instinct, Axegrinder, and Hellshock. The name deserves to be right beside the creators and masters. Originally released in 2010. "Steven Rathbone and company have unleashed yet another masterpiece! Evil Power is their fourth album and by far one of the best. Lair of the Minotaur have shifted between a sludgy doom/thrash metal outfit. On this album they focus much more on the thrash. Their last album was all about war and carnage. So is Evil Power, but it's more of a victory album. They've succeeded in defeating the enemy and are rejoicing on this album. The production is the same as every other album. Very rough and scratchy, but I can't imagine Lair of the Minotaur with good sound quality. It wouldn't be the same. The bass guitar is also audible throughout much of the album, which adds to the heaviness.

We’re pleased to present the third of three classic Century Media vinyl reissues from Warbringer. The next generation’s thrash metal force Warbringer have built a commendable reputation for themselves with heralded albums and consistent touring supporting some of the biggest names in metal. We’re pleased to present a limited 500 copy run of this blue/green vinyl version with loads of extras in an expanded package 2013’s Warbringer IV: Empires Collapse showcased the band aiming to diversify their sound and taking chances by expanding boundaries by continuing to bring in more influences from black metal to punk to industrial in a overall more experimental and free effort that was initially met with mixed reactions but has become a favorite amongst many in the band’s fanbase. Continuing to work with producer Steve Evetts (Sepultura, Hatebreed, Symphony X) the band opted for a different mix and enlisted Brett Eliason (Pearl Jam, Avenged Sevenfold) who brought a cleaner and different approach to the traditional thrash band. Staples include “The Turning of the Gears,” “Hunter-Seeker,” “Black Sun, Black Moon” and the epic “Towers of the Serpent.” The reissue adds the band’s take on the Led Zeppelin classic “Communication Breakdown.” Touring continued with notable supports to Overkill and Kreator in the US and Iced Earth in Europe.

Inhuman were formed in December 1992 in Silves (Algarve), one of the oldest and most historic cities in Portugal.
