POWER IT UP Records presents a very special and limited 7" Series. This collector's edition is called B.E.A(S).T. Series and contains 5 different 7" EP's, four of them are split EP's with bands such as DEAD, MESRINE, F.U.B.A.R. and FONDLECORPSE. The fifth EP is a picture EP featuring EMBALMING THEATRE only. All the front covers of Embalming Theatre together will create on large (and very gory) piece of artwork. All EP's contain new songs of course, so expect 5 times brutal rot'n'gore.First Part of the B.E.A(S).T. Series:EMBALMING THEATRE/ DEADthe Split EP contains 3 new gory grind attacks from Embalming Theatre and 2 tracks from germany's almighty Dead. One tracks includes guestvokills from Kam Lee. SISSY SPACEK began in 1999 as a Blur / Grind duo consisting of John Wiese (SUNNO)), Bastard Noise) and Corydon Ronnau. Since then they have taken countless detours, pushing the extremes of sound in all possible directions on close to 50 releases. On their newest 7", "CONTRETEMPS" via PPM, they return to full on grind-core reflecting on material of their recent live outings and line up. Now as a 4 piece with Jesse Jackson (noise guitar), Charlie Mumma (drums), Corydon Ronnau (vocals), and John Wiese (bass) SISSY SPACEK tear through 10 songs of blasting noise. Limited to 500 copies. Two raw and unmixed songs from Wind’s Poem were transferred from the original analog tape masters into the ProTools HDX system at Owl Lodge. The studio is situated in the woods near Olympia, WA and is the headquarters of Wolves in the Throne Room. A single vocal track from “Lost Wisdom" was layered with newly recorded digital synths and a heavy bass from a vintage Korg MS-20. Wisps of the original organ and guitar appear in a heavily processed form. “Mouth of Sky” was created using techniques inspired by Lee Perry. In this case, the original tracks were routed to a variety of analog and digital FX units via the faders on the studio’s Harrison PP1 console. The mix was performed in real time.

Wretched Soul is a modern sounding British Blackened Heavy Metal outfit formed in the historic city of Canterbury. Following periods of relentless gigging around the UK, the band has honed an exciting and unique sound all its own, with their potent melding of Death, Thrash, Black and Traditional Heavy Metal offering brutality and melody in equal measure. The cornerstone elements of melody, aggression and conviction allow Wretched Soul’s music to resonate with a vast cross-section of fans, regardless of any specific sub-genre preferences. Described by Zero Tolerance Magazine as "refreshingly difficult to categorise", they have also been hailed by Terrorizer Magazine as "one of the UK's most promising underground Thrash bands.” Appearances at Bloodstock Festival and Incineration Festival has gained the band a healthy and loyal fan-base.

Born in 1866 BC, Abraham lived a peaceful life near the town of Sodome, NC. He married his half-sister who gave birth to some 14 kids while already aged far over a hundred years. those golden days are gone, but the virile power of Abraham's beard survived and he was reborn in 2007 as a rock band near Lausanne, Switzerland. Committed rehearsals and songwriting eventually led the band to record their first full-length, 'An Eye on the Universe', which was released in early 2011 on Pelagic Records. The critically acclaimed album was presented live all over Europe, with the likes of bands like Red Fang, Intronaut, Khoma, EF, Celan, Birds In Row, Mumakil or Kruger. Abraham's second album "The Prophet, The Serpent and The Whore" was inspired by a novel by J.G. Rawls. In case you're not familiar with this writer, well, shame on you! A bit of Wikipedia research will tell you that Rawls lived at the beginning of the 20th century and died in an motel room somewhere on the East Coast. It is not exactly clear whether his works are authentic or not; they might have been written by college students trying to pull a prank. The title of his most well-known book is The Chronoception. Abraham found this book on a flee market and used it as an inspiration for their second album. The lyrics were freely adaptated from the story, not wanting the record to become a literary illustration of the book. The story of an unnamed man falling from the sky to crawl through this world's lowest spheres; and the prevalent themes of falling from grace, primal fear, physical pain, loneliness and mystical visions resonated perfectly within Abraham's continuous state of mind. The music to this exploration of the human soul and consciousness was composed with these themes in mind and thus emerged darker and more tortured than what the band had done before. Magnus Lindberg from Cult Of Luna mixed the album and drove the contemplative aspects of their sound to even bleaker aural landscapes, while pushing its violent side further towards armageddon... Expect to see the band live on stage in France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy soon.

„This is the missing link between Explosions in the Sky and Bongripper“ says a friend about Berlin based instrumental 5-piece neànder. Where do you draw the line between Post-Metal, Doom, Stoner or even Modern Black Metal? Post-Rock and Underground Metal have always been familiar. This is sweeping Ambient music combined with the intensity of a Norwegian Black Metal group. Epic songs hovering around the 10 minute mark. Black Sabbath influenced droning Doom riffs ascending into heavenly, dreamy soundscapes. 5 hypnotic chapters made to be listened to in its entirety; this album tends to be ritual music.

Founded in 2017 the collective consists of musos from Blackgazers Ånd, Hardcore Punks Patsy O' Hara, Berlin Sludgers Earth Ship, Doomsters Albez Duz and live band members from Indie outfit Casper. Asked about why they keep their music on an instrumental level the answer is „a singer would reduce us into being either a Metal- or a Post-Rock band. We believe that the sacrifice of lyrics will keep our musical vision open and will help to intend on the music“.

neànder recorded its self-titled debut album in March 2018 at Hidden Planet Studios, Berlin (The Ocean, Abest, Sun Worship) mixed by Jan Oberg from Earth Ship, mastered by Magnus Lindberg from Cult of Luna. This monolith of an album is due to release in February 2019. Coming via the independent Hamburg St. Pauli based diy record label Through Love Records, which released stunning records from artists such as God Is An Astronaut, Fjørt, Wayste, Lirr and Svalbard, just to name a few.
