Bend Over and Pray the Lord was supposed to be Lordi’s first studio album. On 25 August 1997, the birthday of KISS' Gene Simmons, Lordi had their first recording session and started a long, exciting journey that lasted a year. Unfortunately, the label that was going to release the album dropped out and the band went on to record new material.
As a result, the tapes of Bend Over and Pray the Lord sat on the shelves for a very long time. Until 2012, when it was released on CD as part of Lordi's archive series, Scarchives.
These highly sought-after recordings are being released on vinyl for the very first time, exclusively for Record Store Day 2024. Bend Over and Pray the Lord is available as a worldwide limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies. The 2LP includes an 8-page booklet and an etched D-side.

PSYCHLONA's fourth album "Warped Vision" is an exemplary exercise of practiced veterans creating a masterpiece. The album's foundations are laid down by riff-focused heaviness and breakouts combined with a multitude of chilled vibes. What makes "Warped Vision" stick out from a host of similar recordings is the precision with which each hook hits home and sticks, a dynamic balance of rough edges and catchy melodies. The city of Bradford in West Yorkshire is neither particularly arid nor situated in a hot climate. But although hailing from the former industrial heartlands of rainy Northern England, PSYCHLONA have developed a particularly British brand of desert rock. Some hot summer days in 2016 inspired local musicians to fry up some sonic ideas from sunny California of decades past and to blend in the raw energy of UK punk, a dash of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and spoonfuls of classic English 60s and 70s psychedelia. When the experiment exceeded their own expectations, PSYCHLONA were born. In November 2018, when English towns turn bleak and cold, their sun-drenched debut album "Mojo Rising" made ears prick up and set them firmly on the path for the prolific following years. The hardworking Englishmen released their sophomore full-length "Venus Skytrip" in August 2020, an album received rave reviews across the heavy rock underground, and which landed PSYCHLONA their first number one on the Doom Charts. It also reserved them spots high up on several important end-of-year lists. Gathering momentum, the British stoner rockers unveiled their third album "Palo Verde" two years later in August 2022 and immediately scored a second 10/10 review in Powerplay Magazine UK. Now, PSYCHLONA are ready to take the next big step. Welcoming two new members aboard the band has added a new dynamic both in writing and recording. The gentle alterations brought about by their fresh input have turned "Warped Vision" into what is clearly the most complete and thrilling album of the psychedelic desert rockers so far. Winter Eternal is the sole work of one Soulreaper, formed as a means to express his darkest side - indeed, a place where winter reigns eternal. HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present a brand-new mini-album from DEMONCY, Diabolica Blasphemiae.For those who truly know black metal, DEMONCY require no introduction: ever restless and always surprising, their name is legendary for stirring an infinitely deep cauldron of black magick that's completely their own. One of the earliest black metal bands on American soil, DEMONCY have gone through myriad lineups over the past 30-plus years, but they've always been guided by the vision of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Ixithra. In their wake, they've left landmark recordings like Within the Sylvan Realms of Frost and Joined in Darkness, which were both originally recorded in the mid '90s despite their eventual release year of 1999. Even latter-day records like 2015's Empire of the Fallen Angel (Eternal Black Dominion), which saw Ixithra entirely revamp the band's 2003 album in a manner most miasmic, prove the potency of DEMONCY no matter when or how recordings crop up.And so it goes with Diabolica Blasphemiae, DEMONCY's first new recording in nearly a decade. With Ixithra currently handling vocals and bass, joining him here are the incredibly prolific VJS (Nightbringer, Sargeist, Adaestuo) on guitar and Vorthrus (Cerebral Rot, Crurifragium) on drums. Serpentine in its flow and mesmerizing in its effect, DEMONCY's latest mini-album is a vile, virile display of the band's eternal aesthetic, sounding very much like it could've come out during the mid '90s yet retaining a freshness of approach that defies deja vu. Gutted in its low-end throb whilst exhibiting an ethereal aspect, Diabolica Blasphemiae explores above as it is below, sending forth sine waves of obsidian energy both punishing and pleasurable: primeval black metal magick harnessed with a true auteur's touch. Previously signed to Obscure Abhorrence Productions, the band has released 5 solid albums in the past and continue to do so with their next opus. L'aube des Anathèmes offers a wide range of the mid 90’s Black Metal sound where you can hear undoubtedly the raw / old school black metal in their sound to a certain point where it gets mixed with the synth instrument (that is very present within the symphonic black metal genre) without sounding to symphonic, but rather haunted or vampiric. The guitars however deliver those vile raw and yet melodic riffs that directly make you forget about all the above and just take you on this wave of melodies throughout the album. The drums are pounding with variations between the old school blast beats and fast blast beats to even mid-tempo and thrash like tempos together with an overlay on low bass tones. The vocals can only be complimented for lifting everything up and finalizing that 90’s sound as a whole! Ende has delivered an album that is furious, relentless, melodic (with a touch of symphonic) and driven with the old school 90’s black metal sound and all in all managed to wrap it up in a solid production.
