Raw Power was formed in 1981 by two brothers from Poviglio, Italy, Mauro on vocals and Giuseppe on guitars. Land of the Rising Spaghetti commemorates their 40th Anniversary release and their pre-Covid 19 tour of Japan with the Ananas opening. The line-up for Raw Power's side of the record includes Mauro Codeluppi on vocals, Marco Massarenti on bass, Paolo on guitars, Berta on drums and Giuseppe in spirit. Sadly, Giuseppe left the planet on October 6th, 2002 but his guitar can still be heard screaming from the gutters. He was with Raw Power for slightly over a quarter of a century and is the driving force between Mauro's desire to keep the band functioning until he too passes on. Executive producer, David Ulysses Portnow first saw Raw Power in 1986 at the Gorilla Gardens all-ages club where he worked until its closure. "Funny thing about that night, the opening band was Guns & Roses," he recalls. In 1987, Raw Power returned to the US and headlined a massive US and Canadian tour with the Dayglo Abortions and Dehumanizers in tow. Raw Power have also performed with the Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Adolescents, DOA, Agnostic Front, Suicidal Tendencies, Motorhead and a list of heavy hitters that goes on and on, including Japan's female fronted Ananas. PIG Records was searching for more female representation in punk and found it with the Ananas. PIG Records wants to emphasize the importance of women in rock. Mauro gave his full support to the concept and describes front lady Karina Friday as the modern-day version of Mr. Chi Pig from Snfu, may his soul rest in peace as well. The Ananas are from Kyoto, Japan and Karina is supported by Junichi on guitars, Awaji on bass and Kazu on drums.

Steamrolling and rumbling death metal. Drawing influence from Florida, Sweden, and their heritage, Bloodphemy distinguish themselves with aggressive death metal mixing modern and classic styles. This is particularly true in their fourth studio album, “Blood Sacrifice”, the first to be released after the Dutchmen signed a record deal with Emanzipation. Cavernous deep roaring vocals, heavy slow crawling dirges and up-tempo psychotic slaughtering providing heavy listening that hits you in the chest and to bang your skull heavy! The album is aptly led by a great concept: During the 1800’s, in a rural area of the US, a priest leads the congregation of a small village. He is obsessed by the sins of the people around him. He is convinced he has direct conversations with god and this drives him to see the actions of his own family as sinful. In visions he sees the destruction of heaven and the victory of the forces of hell if he lets the sinning go on. With this in mind he decides to end the sins by killing his own family. In the end he ends up in an insane asylum surrounded by only sinners and driven completely mad. Bloodphemy was created in 2000 and is based in Amersfoort, Netherlands. In 2002 they released the album “Section 8”. Shortly after they disbanded, only to be revived in 2015. Since then they released the EP “Blood Will Tell” (2016) and the albums “Bloodline” (2017) and “In Cold Blood” (2019). Dormant for nearly a third of a century, originally formed in 1982 by (then) bassist Damian Thompson & drummer Andy Baker (joined by Freaky Freeman on vox & Anarchy Mole on guitar).Warwound spat & cursed out three demos of 'fast, no bullshit, hardcore punk' through late 82/early 83.Heavily influenced by the sounds of the time (Discharge, Crass, Rudimentary Peni, Motorhead, Bad Brains etc) the band played a handful of gigs around the midlands area of the U.K. before in the autumn of 1983 Damian & Andy were enlisted to join the Varukers. Warwound as it was, ceased to be. During their time in the Varukers, the pair recorded two Warwound numbers which were to be featured on the classic Varukers album 'Another Religion, Another War'. Since that time some thirty years ago, the original Warwound demo tapes have been copied and circulated many times through underground circles of D-beat noise enthusiasts. The emergence of Sacrilege in 1984 also added to keep interest alive in the old Warwound material. These hugely influential recordings (25 tracks, 15 songs in various versions) are made commercially available for the first time, and with a brand new version of the band (featuring original member Damian Thompson alongside past and present members of Varukers, Discharge, Stamping Ground, Decadence Within , Sacrilege and others)

Halshug, the Copenhagen-based trio, release a third studio album titled Drom ("Dream") this July through Southern Lord on LP. On Drom the band expand their sound from the dirgy d-beat of their earlier albums Sort sind (2016) and Blodets bånd (2015), and explore the dynamics of longer songs, more audible lyrics, and altered tempos, which result in different shades of industrial, dark-wave, and post-punk. According to the trio, the title refers to a wider theme of the record which views dreams as "a succession of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind. Streetcleaner: Live at Roadburn 2011 is the first live album from English industrial metal band Godflesh. The release (which consists of the entirety of Godflesh's 1989 studio album Streetcleaner performed live) was recorded on 14 April 2011 at the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands. Apart from being the group's debut live album, it was also the first time they played Streetcleaner in its entirety. This performance marks the first of three times Godflesh played an entire album live at Roadburn. In 2013, the band performed their 1992 album Pure, and in 2018 the band performed their 1994 album Selfless.

Nervesaw' is the first EP by American band Transilience, and the comeback release after many years of absencefrom the scene. Transilience were originally formed in 1988, in Reston, Virginia, and their debut album 'Mouthful OfBuildings' was released in 1989. Their very particular brand of thrash metal was hailed at the time as innovative andoriginal, and that record remains a fresh listen to this day. Transilience disbanded soon after, and frontman Spookyembarked on a solo career under the name Spookey Ruben. As of 2019, Transilience returned to activity withbassist Jerry Barrett and drummer Omar Ruiz joining Spooky in the lineup. In 2023, the band signed for AloneRecords and announced 'Nervesaw', their comeback EP, featuring the unmistakable Transilience style but updatedand reinvigorated for a new age. A little maturation goes a long way. Youthful energy is key to aggressive music, but it takes experience and talent to channel that energy productively. In the case of The Catalyst, they've tightened the reins on the droopy tantrums of their previous EP's. Now their music seethes, with biting lyrics to match. Eric Smith still vomits vocals like an aural exorcism, but his "singing" is stronger and more prominent in the mix. He takes aim at the rogues behind the economic meltdown ("Corner office with a view / Picture window from which you might leap to join us in the streets"), as well as Internet backbiting ("You never cite your sources when your passion is poison"). Musically, The Catalyst continue to crank out throbbing, screamy, squealing songs. They sound like the swampy middle ground between Karp and Pg. 99. Yet their members have grown into a tightly knit unit. Though sloppiness is de rigueur among bands that have rediscovered vintage Sub Pop and AmRep records, The Catalyst boast real chops and an idiosyncratic take on the form. On Swallow Your Teeth (Perpetual Motion Machine, 2009), The Catalyst control their chaos just enough to create their most cohesive work yet. With their sophomore full-length "Gotta Light?", dark rock innovators Crone are cruising in a high octane fuelled hotrod. Channelling their personal musical inspirations that range from Alice IN Chains, via Killing Joke, NEW Model Army, and JOY Division to Pink Floyd among many others, the Germans leave their very own and personal mark on the genre that has been brought back to the forefront of interest by acts such as Ghost in recent years. While composer, guitarist, and singer Phil Jonas had felt tired, burned out, and empty, working on new songs for Crone provided the spark that kindled the firestorm of fresh ideas and led to the creation of "Gotta Light?". The album title was inspired by the haunting eighth episode of David Lynch's masterpiece TV series "Twin Peaks". A corresponding element of the mysterious and surreal permeates all of the new songs that revolve around topics such as the hope of receiving signals from the afterlife 'Waiting for Ghosts'), shattered dreams 'Abyss Road'), and a guiding last will 'Gemini'). Crone was conceived out of a musical collaboration between Phil "sG" Jonas and Embedded drummer and guitarist Markus Renzenbrink. Both musicians wanted to explore musical horizons beyond the metal limits of their regular bands at the time. As a result the "Gehenna" EP was released in 2014 and sparked a first wave of interest. Critics labelled the first effort post-rock, post-punk, and even as shoegaze. The well-received debut full-length 'Godspeed' hit the streets in 2018 and its more focussed and consistent songs got often filed under "post-rock". With Crone having been elevated to the main band of each protagonist, the band's renewed focus and urgency is clearly audible on "Gotta Light?”. With Christian Schmidt a permanent keyboard player has been added to the line-up that now also features lead guitarist Kevin Olasz for added sparkle and sonic depth. From the ashes of Secrets OF THE Moon a dark reborn phoenix is rising with Crone and this bird of prey is ready to rock humanity's unstoppable descent into madness: "Gotta Light?"

With lyrics that depict the apocalyptic, and desolate nature of denomination, Tardus Mortem take the listener into a bleak and dismal existence depicting human and godly atrocities, in the form of Jehovah witness apocalyptic prophecies. This is the essence of Tardus Mortem’s debut album. The band dives down even further into the abyss of cacophony to create sepulchral hymns of desolation and the most desolate and apocalyptic record possible. “Engulfed in Pestilent Darkness” was originally released in a limited cassette tape edition in 2019 and quickly spread into the underground like the foulest fumes. Now, the cult gets a new chapter by being released on very limited LP (only 100 copies). Tardus Mortem is a Blackened-Death metal band from funen Denmark, which sole purpose is suffocating the listener in ominous tales of Christ and providence by using their instruments to create morbid melodies enchanting the impending Armageddon. The band consists of Dennis Strømberg, age 20 (ex-Black Tritonus ex-Human Mutilation, Apocalyptic Frost, Rancid Pus) on drums and vocals, Lasse Usbeck Andresen, age 22 (ex-Ilumize, ex-Human Mutilation) on guitar and vocals and Christian Baier Rasmussen, age 22(Ex-error 404, ex-Dark Marshall) on bass and vocals. Through the “Engulfed in Pestilent Darkness” debut album, the hymns have only gotten more desolate and apocalyptic, which has come across the few concerts the band has played from 2017 to now. And that will come equally across on the forthcoming album.
