PSYCHLONA's fourth album "Warped Vision" is an exemplary exercise of practiced veterans creating a masterpiece. The album's foundations are laid down by riff-focused heaviness and breakouts combined with a multitude of chilled vibes. What makes "Warped Vision" stick out from a host of similar recordings is the precision with which each hook hits home and sticks, a dynamic balance of rough edges and catchy melodies. The city of Bradford in West Yorkshire is neither particularly arid nor situated in a hot climate. But although hailing from the former industrial heartlands of rainy Northern England, PSYCHLONA have developed a particularly British brand of desert rock. Some hot summer days in 2016 inspired local musicians to fry up some sonic ideas from sunny California of decades past and to blend in the raw energy of UK punk, a dash of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and spoonfuls of classic English 60s and 70s psychedelia. When the experiment exceeded their own expectations, PSYCHLONA were born. In November 2018, when English towns turn bleak and cold, their sun-drenched debut album "Mojo Rising" made ears prick up and set them firmly on the path for the prolific following years. The hardworking Englishmen released their sophomore full-length "Venus Skytrip" in August 2020, an album received rave reviews across the heavy rock underground, and which landed PSYCHLONA their first number one on the Doom Charts. It also reserved them spots high up on several important end-of-year lists. Gathering momentum, the British stoner rockers unveiled their third album "Palo Verde" two years later in August 2022 and immediately scored a second 10/10 review in Powerplay Magazine UK. Now, PSYCHLONA are ready to take the next big step. Welcoming two new members aboard the band has added a new dynamic both in writing and recording. The gentle alterations brought about by their fresh input have turned "Warped Vision" into what is clearly the most complete and thrilling album of the psychedelic desert rockers so far. 2018's The Subversive Kind, represents a 'return to form' of the Deliverance old school speed metal and thrash beginnings. Repeat listens reveal just how plentiful and impressive are the solos on each of the album's tracks - each one including a lead guitar break to feature not only Greg Minier (The Crucified) but also original Deliverance/Vengeance guitarist Glenn Rogers, who lends his brash soloing abilities in explosive fashion. At it's heart, The Subversive Kind is a full on thrash masterpiece in the vein of Destruction, Exodus, Overkill and Sodom. It is beautifully brutal in every way, filled with creativity and fervor that seeks to expand your mind and knock you on your... um, "kiester!" The 2024 Retroactive Records includes the two new bonus tracks, treated toa 2024 remaster for this vinyl version, and features the previously out-of-print vinyl on on splatter vinyl for the first time ever! The two first-time studio bonus tracks were recorded for fans just for this reissue, and they feature the classic Deliverance line-up. The bonus tracks take this album from 31 minutes (original release) to 39 minutes of face-melting thrash and speed metal! The Swedish-Finnish speed and thrash metal quintet Obnoxious Youth is back with a bang after a four year break. New album Burning Savage will be out in 18th October 2024.

The sperm of Satan’s cock AKA the Obnoxious Youth was born in 2002 in Uppsala/Sweden. But the fully fledged and perverted behemoth that stands before you today was an international collaboration brought to life in 2009 by John ”Zeke” Finne, Affe ”Phantasma” Piran and Frans ”Cult” Utterström. But today Edde ”Shit” Aftonfalk and Lukas ”Spine” Häger are added to the live lineup of the band.

The purpose of the band was to break boundaries and to return to the time when extreme music didn’t have any rules or regulations. When there was no ”death metal” or ”thrash metal”, when there was just ”metal” or ”punk”. Just channeling the most insane music that was humanly possible. Using methods that was founded in the 80’s, Obnoxious Youth fully encloses itself and gets swallowed by the power of extreme music and getting influences from a feeling rather than other bands. Taking the listeners back to a time when heavy music was something to fear.

In 2012 the band received a Manifest Award for the debut album The Eternal Void and has since then released two EP’s (Suck On The Cross, 2013 and Mouths Sewn Shut, 2020) and one more full length album Disturbing the Graves in 2017. They have established themselves as a fierce live band that leaves no one unaffected.

Members of Obnoxious Youth has played in or currently plays in bands such as Vorum, Undergång, Endtime, Reveal!, Morbus Chron, Century, Tøronto, Degial, Begravningsentreprenörerna, Entombed and No Future.

Demon Head releases the new album ‘Through Holes Shine the Stars’ in September 2024 via Svart Records

Demon Head is proud to announce the release of Through Holes Shine the Stars on Svart Records. The album is the fifth full-length from the band that celebrated their first 10 years of existence last year, and it is undoubtedly another milestone on their tireless – and very own – path through the wilderness. It is a deeper, darker well of tones and melodies than before, while being significantly more extroverted than their last releases. All in the seemingly effortless, strangely catchy, and unique manner that Demon Head have become known for.

The eight songs were written collectively during several concentrated sessions from 2019–2022 and recorded entirely by the band themselves from October 2022 to March 2023 in their own studios in Copenhagen and the west coast of Ireland. Guitarist, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist producer, Birk Gjerlufsen Nielsen expands on the process: “This long and careful process has allowed us to reach a balance between structural precision and artistic expansion, melodic simplicity, and compositional depth. It feels like we’ve uncovered every possibility within each of these songs without losing track of the original nerve.”

In continuation of previous collaborations, Demon Head have mixed the album with the legendary engineer and producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Morbid Angel, Ensiferum, etc.) in Sweet Silence Studios. Vocalist and recording engineer Marcus Ferreira Larsen remarks: “Like any true master Flemming has created a direct and hard-hitting, transparent mix that does nothing but enhance what is already communicated in the compositions and the performance. He helped us place everything in the landscape that we've carved through recording everything ourselves once again.”

With a running time of 47 minutes, this is Demon Heads most extensive work to date. Birk Gjerlufsen Nielsen comments on one of the songs: “The Chalice opens with a discordant anthem that unbelievably enough combines the qualities of late Scott Walker with Europe’s The Final Countdown. It’s a good introduction to how Marcus and I have worked closely together on complimenting each other’s voices. It’s consistent that we sing together throughout the whole record. Between the two of us there’s a balance of equal parts raw charm and melodic desperation”.

HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present FUNERAL STORM's highly anticipated second album, Chthonic Invocations.It was but 2019 when FUNERAL STORM made their grand entrance onto the international metal stage with their acclaimed debut album, Arcane Mysteries, courtesy of HELLS HEADBANGERS. While their history goes back to 2001, activities didn't begin in earnest until 2012, and hard graft became their watchword. But it was Arcane Mysteries that majestically consolidated all of FUNERAL STORM's considerable promise into one grand statement of classic Greek black metal in an authentically early '90s style. It certainly didn't hurt that that debut album featured Varathron founder Necroabyssious on vocals. Two years came a split 7" with Greek comrades Synteleia, appropriately titled The Ancient Calling, also courtesy of HELLS HEADBANGERS.That split featured a scaled-back lineup of Necroabyssious and guitarist Arcania and founding guitarist/bassist/drum-programmer Wampyrion, and thus fortified does FUNERAL STORM's second full-length follow. Likewise appropriately titled, Chthonic Invocations further explores the steadfast theme of the Cthulhu mythos. More specifically, FUNERAL STORM's second album in general focuses on death, in every form, for Arcania and Wampyrion were totally isolated during the lockdown and Necroabyssious was heavily infected with Covid-19 to a point where the band didn't know what would happen. However, after he was healed, Necroabyssious delivered an exceptionally aggressive performance, suiting to his bandmates' more surging yet more mystical music. Truly, Chthonic Invocations sounds like FUNERAL STORM 666%, and harkens even further into the ancient past: to say that the album could've been released in 1993 on Unisound is an understatement to end all understatements. Ende, a Black Metal outfit hailing from France are ready to unleash their 6th full length album: “L'aube des Anathèmes”. Previously signed to Obscure Abhorrence Productions, the band has released 5 solid albums in the past and continue to do so with their next opus. L'aube des Anathèmes offers a wide range of the mid 90’s Black Metal sound where you can hear undoubtedly the raw / old school black metal in their sound to a certain point where it gets mixed with the synth instrument (that is very present within the symphonic black metal genre) without sounding to symphonic, but rather haunted or vampiric. The guitars however deliver those vile raw and yet melodic riffs that directly make you forget about all the above and just take you on this wave of melodies throughout the album. The drums are pounding with variations between the old school blast beats and fast blast beats to even mid-tempo and thrash like tempos together with an overlay on low bass tones. The vocals can only be complimented for lifting everything up and finalizing that 90’s sound as a whole! Ende has delivered an album that is furious, relentless, melodic (with a touch of symphonic) and driven with the old school 90’s black metal sound and all in all managed to wrap it up in a solid production.
