A collection of early beat creations from Detroit's J Dilla aka JAY DEE (circa 95-98). Originally recorded to cassette now remastered for a special vinyl release. The 928 LP includes 14 raw tracks in a magnificent jacket of artwork perfect for any collection.

Original Soundtrack for a fictional story, which tells of the everyday struggle of a group of youngsters trying to survive, reaching for riches and glory! They work their way up from small street dealers to the top of an empire. All works out well until a traitor in their own team leads to an ambush.

Und die erste Single "Keiner" des kommenden Album "Kneipenkind" knallt rein und stellt klar, dass er seinen Arsch hochgekriegt hat und es eben kein anderer für ihn getan hat. Das Ganze erinnert an einen jungen Anderson .Paak straight aus Berlin-Schöneberg, produziert von Swoosh Hood mit Livedrums von Aidan Keith Lowe. Das Projekt „Kneipenkind" ( VÖ 26.11) ist das Debütalbum von Ipp Halver und das wahrscheinlich erste Neo-Soul Album auf Deutsch. Das Album ist biografisch beeinflusst und beschreibt den innerlichen Konflikt zwischen Kirche und Kneipe, Erzählungen von Erlebten im Großstadtdschungel Berlin, Sucht, der Gang und der ewigen Suche nach der vermeintlich Richtigen. Musikalisch hört man deutlich die Einflüsse von Ipp Halver — Hier mischen sich Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, 90er Hip Hop und Trapelemente, um sich zum Deutsch Neo-Soul Sound zu vereinen. „Kneipenkind" ist eine Reise ins Ich eines jungen Berliner Mannes, der von Song zu Song führt, wie ein gutes Buch von Kapitel zu Kapitel - und man möchte natürlich das Ende der Geschichte hören. Durch die jahrelange Live- und Studioerfahrung als Gospel- und Soulsänger gab es die Vision für ein Deutsch Neo-Soul Album schon seit langer Zeit, aber erst in den letzten 5 Jahren wurde an den konkreten Vorstellungen, sowie Soundbild gearbeitet und wird nun 2021 serviert!

Adelaide producer & DJ Inkswel introduces his new project ‘The Snaglepuss’ with ‘Chasing Infinity,’ a concept LP with a star-studded guest list that takes us on a stylistic journey from hiphop and g-funk to up tempo broken beat, boogie and house. With guests including Talib Kweli, Amp Fiddler, Steve Spacek and Kylie Auldist the album describes a cosmic quest for a new galactic home, searching for a better place and stopping on every dancefloor on the way.

Inkswel (aka Jules Habib) has spent much of the last two decades in the Northern Hemisphere DJing every party and club from Rhythm Section in London to Output in New York and released music on BBE, Atjazz, Sonar Kollektiv, Tokyo Dawn and Motor City Wine. He’s produced tracks for artists like Pugz

Atoms & Georgia Anne Muldrow and remixed artists including Amp Fiddler and Dez Andrez. On the Snaglepuss material, he’s taken a more collaborative approach and much of this record was co-created with bassist Stephen Lane, Sloth on horns, UK broken beat royalty Kaidi Tatham and Inkswel’s wife and musical partner Erin Buku. Inkswel and the team’s genre bending productions draw influence from P Funk, 80s Pop, Boogie Funk, Classic 90s Hip hop and Contemporary Soul stitching it all together into a seamless multicoloured package.

The album kicks off with a nod to Inkswel’s musical roots, golden era hiphop. ‘Let It Grow’ features the legendary Talib Kweli, supported by Erin Buku and Baba Israel. Next up, staying in the hiphop lane, is ‘Everything’ feat. Dudley Perkins, followed by the spacey stylings of ‘Mystical Magic’ featuring Lee “Scratch” Perry and Elf Tranzporter and ‘Butterflies’ featuring Steve Spacek. From there the album turns up the tempo and the heat with the bouncy rollerdisco jam ‘New Day’ featuring Melbourne legends Kylie Auldist and N’fa Jones and the title track which features UK Soul luminary Oliver Night on vocals. Amp Fiddler jumps on organ and vocal duties on ‘How I Feel’ and Kaidi Tatham steps up on keys for ‘Cosmic Love Affair’ featuring the princely vibe of Erik Rico and contributes again to the instrumental cut ‘Intergalactic Bboy Anthem’. The album is rounded out by remixes from UK legend Mr Scruff, Detroit don DJ Dez Andrez and Adelaide’s Funkwig.

Legendary Cologne beat smith Hulk Hodn not only wrote German indie rap history with MC Retrogott, but also helped kickstart the instrumental beat movement in the late 2000s. Under the Hodini moniker, he dabbled in lo-fi house, but now he’s back with a vengeance under his original name: 19 sparkling beat jewels that float effortlessly between classic hip-hop, jazz influences and neo soul. »Sparklez« contains a half hour of summery, relaxed little gems that will perfectly soundtrack your next Beach Cruiser ride.

These instrumentals owe a lot to Californian lo-fi heroes like Madlib or Kankick, but some of them nod approvingly to South London or Southern Cologne as well. If you’re in need for some real jazz vibes, look no further – Hulk Hodn has got you covered: Blunted beats, muffled pianos and saxophones, vocal samples from the 41st Side of 1990s Queensbridge. There’s truly no lack of instrumental chill-out beat records out there, but »Sparklez« has something that doesn’t come in handy with a downloaded plug-in and sample pack: Character. And a whole lot of that.

After their 2015 EP "Dinosaur" Hubert & Mehmet are finally back with a new record.

It's been a long journey from playing shows while mostly improvising on stage to spending countless hours in the studio shelter before they finally shaped all those improvised sketches into the beautiful album that has become "A Common Third" - Outstanding beat music for Hip Hop heads and open minded jazz lovers alike.

Proudly presented by Daily Concept. In a world full of inequality and artificial norms that no longer have anything in common with our nature, it's easy to see what divides and separates us. In such a time, despite all the borders, it's important to find and recognize the common third. In its purest form, Hubert & Mehmet stand for exactly this. In order to make the unity visible, they created this album. So it was only a logical consequence to give the work the title "A Common Third". No matter what divides us, we should also look for what brings us together.

Cologne’s finest is back with the first single of his upcoming lesson in instrumental hip-hop beatmaking called »A Diezel Odyssey«. One of the true originators of the craft that started way before anyone could even spell Lo-Fi Beats, Hubert Daviz has been keeping a consistently low profile despite inspiring countless imitators.

This limited edition of 500 hand-numbered copies comes as double vinyl with the "Replacement Service Tape" EP as bonus vinyl with printed inner sleeve.

You should not be misusing this music as a generic backdrop for studying in your Altbau apartment. Instead, you can make it work as an exercise in mindful listening – as each element in the mix has been tastefully chosen, carefully placed and then underpinned by the most subtle and refined drum sounds ever sampled. To hear is something entirely else than to listen.

Hubert Daviz has been lingering at the creative forefront of the German beat movement for more than a decade now. In 2010, he released his debut instrumental album »Proceduri de Rutina«, a collection of tracks based on jazz samples originating from his birth country of Romania. Hubert consciously kept a low profile since then, producing solo albums and projects with like-minded artists such as Wun Two, Retrogott and Hulk Hodn. »A Diezel Odyssey« is his latest collection of deep jeep beats to soundtrack your late night walk to your local Bodega – imagine Drake’s »Summers Over Interlude« recorded to analog tape and then buried six feet underground.

Only two featured artists came along for this bizarre ride II the far side: One is Anthony Drawn, sax wiz extraordinaire and Daviz’ partner in crime on the recently-founded casual low grind imprint. The other one is L.A. weirdo rap king Pink Siifu. Hubert has been championing his visionary lo-fi-rap-update since his breakout project »Ensley« in 2018 – now Siifu returns the favor via a mystical guest verse on an untitled track on »A Diezel Odyssey«. Hubert has never really bothered to produce beats for MCs to rhyme over them in mind, but in this case the collaboration with a rapper turned out like a match made in nerd heaven.

In a certain way, this 23-minute suite of music is the culmination of Huberts work leading up to this album, becoming somewhat more and more experimental in the last few years, trying to stay ahead of the biters while not losing his unrivaled chill. To be clear: His trademark slowed + reverb sound and his talent for sourcing ultra-crisp drums are very much alive and kicking on this record. It’s that almost magical, dare I say spiritual side to his music that separates Hub Deezy from the competition. Nothing has really changed in essence, but still everything is different. To really understand, listen mindfully. »A Diezel Odyssey« can take you places – just surrender and let go.

Everything is an equation of time; the lessons we learn, the people we meet along the way... Hoogway explores this alluring concept in his album “Equation of Time”. Meditative drum loops and guitar melodies stem from the heart of the music, uplifted by careful arrangements and sound design. Observe the celestial bodies in the distance, they work in their own time frameworks and provide a glimpse of the past and the future. The universe is so much bigger than we know - but there’s always someplace you can call home.

“Death Cult & Armenian Paper” is HONE's first and long awaited LP. The 12 tracks feature DMC World Supremacy Champion Nelson Scratch, IDA French Champion DJ Madpressure, DJ T-Killa & Mighty Vinc' and Bonzer.

The beats were crafted at HONE's Antechamber Studio on the MPC 2500 and feature obscure samples ranging from free jazz to electronic soundscape, recorded guitar leaks, synths, heavy drums and solid basses, the whole spiced with haunting percussions.

HONE’s sound is slow, heavy and represents the vanguard of the European beat making movement, while at the same time checking all the boxes of the hip hop code. A style he simply calls “Doom Bap”.

“Death Cult & Armenian Paper is a very personal work, representing the duality, a journey between day and night, sweet and sour, life and death, good and evil. It’s been a long time in the making”, the artist offers.

The LP is available on solid white vinyl with amazing graphic design by Bonzer.
