The compilation’s 3rd drop will be a double-single as well featuring 19 year old, US-based self made producer Peachy! (2,6m monthly listeners), delivering his Shanghai inspired, very spheric walk-by tune “Stroll” on one side while Laguna contributes his slowly uplifting but very keen “Lone Rider” on the flipside, catching that specific moment when switching from boredom to euphoria right away. All singles off the compilation will be accompanied by customized visuals from different filmmakers catching the songs’ very own vibes. The compilation’s artwork comes along in its very own and unique 823-style. Worldwide web promotion for this release will be handled and taken care of by Jonathan Kim.

It's been four years since Sweatbox Dynasty, the fourth solo LP from Pennsylvanian experimentalist Tobacco. In that time, Tom Fec's project has toured with Nine Inch Nails, provided the theme song to HBO series Silicon Valley, and teamed with Aesop Rock for a collaborative album as Malibu Ken. He now returns to Ghostly International for Hot Wet & Sassy, a full-length album oozing with his most playful and approachable songs to date, which, conversely, express notions of antilove, self-hate, and disappointment in others. Pop impulses have always surged beneath the surface of his sound - blown-out bass, analog synths, drum machines, and Fec's unmistakable analog gurgle and hiss - here they've bubbled to the top. "I feel like it's the most I've been able to refine what I'm doing," says Fec. "For the past decade I've had this motherfxcker on my shoulder that makes me pick away at structure and melody. Purposely covering up moments because I can. That really came to a peak on Sweatbox. So I wanted the opposite this time. Write the songs without ripping them in half. I went from 'what would the Butthole Surfers do?' to 'what would Cyndi Lauper do?'" And what would Trent Reznor do? Fec found his answer straight from the source. Their collaborative track, "Babysitter," fuses their voices into one deranged presence: "I'm the new babysitter," they alert, before pivoting into a menacingly saccharine bridge. The track tumbles on a tom fill, then a punishing synth line rips into a cacophony of drums and feedback like a lawnmower gnawing through the living room carpet. "This was new for me, but I wanted to write a song that was everything I am and have been, and then like one notch further. Trent was the notch further," adds Fec. The collaboration is a work of alchemy seamlessly blending Tobacco's trademarks with Reznor's industrial rust and sonic gore. Downcast, sincere, woozy, "Jinmenken" might be the closest Fec has come to a ballad. "Maybe you can find me down the line," his vocoded delivery bounces along the beat. "It's me trying to write a Jets song," says Fec. Album opener "Centaur Skin" presents the stylistic concoction that has been the Tobacco MO from the beginning, crossing dreamy melodic shimmer with the sinister tones and slime. This has become easier to digest, but also far more potent. A motorik beat steadies the track's galloping arpeggio, acting as a springboard for Fec's dark ruminations as well as an uncharacteristically crystalline synth solo. "It's my feel good self hate anthem. Don't worry, I'm good. It was fun to write." Tobacco hasn't been reinvented, but it has been refined and distilled. Brighter, sharper, and far more dangerous because of it. Hot Wet & Sassy is practically staring at the sun without shades and feeling those corneas roast. Everything looks good as your vision fades. The pop-forward structures exert their undeniable hooks with baneful precision, pulling listeners into their clutches; once there, sugary melody rewards submission.

Traditionally the liner notes of an album take on a kind of third-party address, where a writer is delivering their thoughts about how an album makes them feel without breaching that space where they are representing themselves or the moment in time directly to the reader. The goal is typically a kind of timelessness, but as we live in unprecedented times, unconventional methods take on new life, and hopefully importance. In the spirit of that idea... man, is this the kind of album we all need right now. So many of us feel like we're constantly walking a tightrope, are feeling like we can't unwind, are in genuine need of a few moments of respite. Every so often an album emerges from an artist that most likely did not realize when they were composing how timely the results would be, and Lofi Dimensions is exactly that kind of record. It doesn't really matter why it's coming when it is, what's important is that it's here, offering peace to the perturbed and inspiration for the downcast. The American Dollar have long been one of those artists operating in a kind of middle ground, a band with a long history of creating moving instrumental rock that has somehow avoided ever becoming synonymous with modern American post-rock acts. They retain a sort of autonomy in a valued position just outside the boundaries of classification. Blending electronic textures with moving guitar and keyboard melodies, their music has always traveled somewhere in the spaces between trip-hop, electronic, post-rock and ambient, and this inability to be defined is ultimately what sets them apart from the trappings of genre, allowing them to be whatever they want The American Dollar to be in a given moment, always on their terms.

After numerous productions with Xatar, Haftbefehl, Plusmacher, Schwesta Ewa and many more, it was time for the solo debut of The Breed last year. The record entitled The Beauty & The Breed brought Westcoast Vibes into the German beat scene and provided the perfect soundtrack for the summer. Now the new album Sexbox follows up on this. The Breed brings the vibe for relaxed BBQ parties and sunny rides in a convertible. The inspiration for this continues to come from G-Funk and also the classic AON sound shines through again and again, but always stays up to date. The instrumentals are even more mature than on the predecessor and Breedy spins his movie logically further without repeating himself. But instead even more R'n'B influence, even more sex. No classic sample-flip-drum-ready loops, but rather songs that are repeatedly produced out of the box, which through the prominent use of talkbox, live instruments and vocal chops become more than just pure instrumentals. Urban Waves Records presents "Some Alternate Timelines”, the new album by Canadian producer Liam Mansfield a.k.a. Vienna. Hailing from Montreal, the young producer is known for his unique sound, drawing inspiration from a rich blend of styles ranging from funk, electronic, jazz, hip hop and even disco. The album takes you on a visit to Vienna's world. As it’s name indicates, we're landing in a parallel universe where things took a different path but nuances are subtle. Rhythms are off kilter, synths are strangely crunchy, electric piano chords bubble up and fly away, and yet somehow it all pulls together beautifully. Discovering these unique sonic elements is part of the experience, and as you progress through the album it's hard not to become infatuated. Vienna's music has a very singular charm and feel that will take you by surprise, but once you're struck it feels natural and familiar.

The album comes along a very unique and limited vinyl edition with a special color, a marbled black on transparent. The perfect mastering gives the vinyl an extra punch specially on the basses that just feel otherworldly on the analog format.

I’m still feeling the bruises from the abandoned backyard pools in San Diego last week. Sh*t man, the sun is burning on my skin. The wind feels good as I push past the palm trees. Let’s shred these bowls. Nothing beats the adrenaline rush when you land a handplant. The hours pass by. Sun down, city to city. Exhausted, yet happy. Gonna give that wrecked body some rest, grab a bite on the way home, watch some 411, play some Tony Hawk’s, and listen to the old hip-hop tapes, again and again. Cut.

Radio Juicy proudly presents Cumulus Frisbee's debut album "Hyperion”, an odyssey into the artist's world and mind. This album serves as the perfect introduction to his art and music, if you are not already familiar. If you’ve been following him for a while you'll recognize his ever expanding imagination throughout this incredible piece, not only musically but artistically as well, since he drew the album cover by hand.

Hyperion is a fantastic tale picturing an alternate universe where everything seems oddly familiar yet foreign. His music takes a little while to become accustomed to for an untrained ear but after a couple tracks you'll start hearing it in it's entirety, like un-focusing your eyes for a 90's 3D image, only for your ears. After listening to the entire album, try going back to the beginning and you'll notice how you'll hear something different than the first time around. Be sure to check Cumulus’s social pages and get to know him better, and you'll see that he's both a visual and musical artist with a unique perspective. In our eyes he is one of today's most interesting upcoming artist. We'll go as far as stating that this release transcends what we've been doing so far: today we're bringing you contemporary art.

This time stepping into the spotlight of the instrumental series: Hubert Daviz – a longtime companion, who has been influencing the label’s own beat productions substantially since its foundation.

Hubert Daviz dances on eight stops alongside the time stretch line. In doing so, he moves between shuffled, spherically reverberating grooves planting themselves on strung-out sample layers. His perfectly compressed kick drums punch into the enjoyingly exceeding noisy background like a cushy, jellyfish-like bomb.

In the end, crafting together with Wun Two, collaborating with Anthony Drawn cool-jazzing on the saxophone or Ferdinand Schwarz spookingly playing the trumpet is just the icing on the cake for the well-thought arrangements.

Raised in Bath, based in London, Mo Fingaz has been DJing multi-genre sets since the early noughties at clubs & festivals across the UK and Europe. Primarily a project that delivers crisp crunchy boom bap, with heavy doses of jazz and soul, and nods to various other genres throughout. The rhodes-laden ‘Groove Definition’ sets the tone, leading into an interpolation of a classic; one simply called ‘Reggie’. ‘Timecode’ raises up the Sp1200 bit-crush levels some more, whilst tracks like ‘Astro’ and the album closer ’Netta’ take things a little deeper. The lead track ‘Gusto’ delivers skippier half-time jungle funk drums, with live bass played by his father and guitar by J-Felix atop the track. ‘Thirty-Eight’ and ‘1991 Broadway’ harp back to classic jazzhop of the golden era, whilst ‘Booooj’ adds a little dancehall swagger into the equation, before the classy string section of ‘Uptown’ swings into play. This album is unashamedly one to nod your head to, and not one to be sleeping on. ‘Gusto’ is Mo Fingaz first full-length project; a 15 track collection of beats and compositions produced over the past two years. Lo-fi hip hop instrumentals crafted together with love, analog drum machines, samplers, live instruments and dusty old vinyl. After being sat on these beats for a minute, it finally feels like time to let them off into the ether.

Midnight Hiss is the first hip-hop / jazz instrumental LP by Fed Nance. The sound reflects its place of birth: Fed’s hometown is next to a big river and a gigantic factory, where beautiful sunsets and huge smoke stacks are the daily panorama. The album is free of music samples: everything is written, played and produced by Fed. Midnight Hiss is a unique and dense mix of crooked-jazzy guitars, high-flying saxophones, drunk synthesizers, smooth piano riffs, syncopated bass lines and sharp drum brakes. The tracks are recorded into vintage reel-to-reel tape machines which give to the sound that particular flavor. The album cover is the original package of the magnetic tape that has been used for the mastering process of the album.
