Aias are Gaia, Laia and Miriam. Gaia sings and plays guitar. Laia sings and plays drums and Miriam sings and plays bass. And the three together they try to make songs for anyone else to sing. Pop with distortion, lots of "oooos" and vocal harmonies in in a cave with endless ceilings sung in their native Catalan (not Spanish, mind you!) Aias began as a birthday party band and by surprise ended up being a band for real, or at least that's their current intention. The desire to win in the fight against the instrument itself, the need to shout a bit during the week, a Vivian Girls concert during the Primavera Sound Festival and the providential intervention of Cristian Pallejà (Nisei, Sedaiós) lead to a home made recording in a village lost in Catalonia and an unexpected winter signing with the New York Label, Captured tracks.

Tao of the Dead is their seventh album. The band stripped down to its core four-piece lineup for the record, deviating from the past two records that featured a filled-out six-piece band. This resulted in a stripped-down record with heavy emphasis on guitar. It’s a two-part record, each side with a specific musical tuning; Part One in D and Part Two in F.



The album can be listened to as 16 different movements or two lengthy tracks. Part One: Tao Of The Dead is split into eleven tracks, whereas Part Two: Strange News From Another Planet is five songs combined into one. Lead singer Conrad Keely described the album's composition; "It's the way I listened to albums when I was a kid, seeing as some of my favorite records were Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Yes' Relayer and Close to the Edge... I always liked listening to records that were just a continuous piece, like an orchestra or a symphony."

Inspired by Bollywood, a trip to Morocco, and SergeGainsbourg, Angelo Spencer's second full-length WorldGarage [KLP235] brings armloads of new instruments and theflavor of exotic locations to a compilation of songs that amount to more than just an album, but an experience of wildness. Mike Sniper never meant to be one of Brooklyn's 'most mysterious musicians'. Things just ended up that way, as the singer/multi-instrumentalist released a steady stream of limited singles and EPs on such reputable indie labels as Sacred Bones, HoZac and Woodsist. Not to mention's Sniper's own Captured Tracks imprint-a carefully-curated roster that's grown as quickly as Blank Dogs itself, thanks to such buzz-stirring releases as Dum Dum Girls' debut EP and recent records by Beach Fossils, Wild Nothing and Minks.

Vinyl only reissue of the first Blank Dogs full-length from 2008, originally released on Troubleman Unlimited. "Blank Dogs is a one-man enterprise that within the space of approximately one year has somehow managed to release a dozen or so releases; On Two Sides has previously done the rounds thanks to physical releases on Fuck It Tapes and Troubleman, suggesting this Brooklynite is hanging out in all the right crowds. a 7" single by the Portland, OR band Blouse. Blouse are a 3-piece consisting of frontwoman Charlie Hiltion, Patrick Adams on bass, and Jacob Portrait on drums & production. They have a bit of Cureish sound and are very nice folks who are making very nice music. The single will consist of the A-side "Shadow" (which will appear on our RSD comp.) and the B-side "Nights and Days." The band self-recorded and produced the 7"in their art space in Portland and at Jackpot studios, also in Portland. The band's full length is scheduled to be released on the Captured Tracks label out of NYC.

Bobby Birdman is the ultraego of west coast musician Rob Kieswetter and he graces us with his musical interludes on "Don't Walk Away" b/w "Dub Walk". Born in San Diego, raised in Nevada City, braised in San Luis Obispo, grazed in Portland, OR, Bobby Birdman is currently living aloha in Los Angeles.Bobby Birdman has released music with Fryk Beat, States Rights Records, Not Not Fun and HUSH. He appears on records by K-related artists GIGI, Little Wings, Adam Forkner and YACHT. Lately, Bobby Birdman has been ripe with many musical projects. He remixed Young M.C.'s "Fastest Rhyme", released on Delicious Vinyl, produced music for L.A.'s Guy Fantastico and Nevada City's Golden Shoulders and composed music and sound installations for visual artist Geo_ McFetridge. He also contributed to new albums by YACHT, Ben Butler and Mousepad.

Diesen Juni feierte das zweite Bon Iver Album „Bon Iver, Bon Iver“ seinen 10. Geburtstag. Um das, wenn auch ein wenig verspätet, zu feiern, veröffentlicht 4AD am 14.01.2022 die „Bon Iver, Bon Iver (10th Anniversary Edition)“ dieses Klassikers auf CD und Doppel-LP. Neben dem Originalalbum enthält die limitierte Neuausgabe fünf bis dato unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen aus der AIR Studios Session. Eingespielt wurden die Songs gemeinsam von Justin Vernon und Sean Carey als Duo mit Klavier und Gesang.

Das ikonische Artwork der LP und CD wurde gänzlich neu gestaltet. Statt dem ursprünglichen Aquarell des Originals ziert bei der Anniversary-Edition nun eine Blindprägung auf weißen Grund das Cover. Dazu gibt es noch ein persönliches Essay von Phoebe Bridgers über ihre Liebe zu diesem Album und wie es sie als Künstlerin geprägt hat.

Begleitend zum Release spielen Bon Iver im Oktober zwei Shows im neu eröffneten YouTube-Theater in Inglewood in Kalifornien. Es sind Bon Ivers erste Shows seit Beginn der Pandemie und stellen das zweite Album und seine Produktion in den Fokus.

2012 is the year Michigan's Citizen went from an underground midwest band to an explosive nationwide force to be reckoned with. Young States is Citizen's debut EP, pressed on vinyl for the first time, showcasing this young quintet's penchant for writing heartrending yet impossibly catchy songs.

In the cold and dreary winter of 2009, alone in his bedroom and hidden from the darkness of the world outside Justin Paul Vallesteros had begun working on something that would change his life forever. What began as a couple notes played in experimentation soon transformed into vibrant melodies that soon shook Vallesteros' musical foundation to the core. Guitar chords laced over pulse sating synth melodies and drum rhythms was a departure from Justin's previous work; he began to create the dreamy nostalgic pop music that is Craft Spells. Justin is a California native who now finds residence in the mid-size town of Stockton, the heart of California. Craft Spells is the epitome of the recent uprising of the DIY music scene. Coming from a place not known for its musical history or impact on music culture it seemed destined for Craft Spells to stay as a bedroom pop project with no final destination in sight. But soon the shear amount of blog volume his work began to generate was unimaginable. Sites like Weekly Tape Deck, Pasta Primavera, No Modest Bear and Pitchfork's Forkcast took notice and thus began the never ending worldwide posting and re-posting on blog after blog of Craft Spells. The sound is led by Justin's blissful voice, backed behind beautiful guitar melodies over heavenly synths, pop basslines and looped rhythms. Captured Tracks has released 7" single for the song "Party Talk" and will release the debut album "Idle Labor".
