Christian Rinderman aka C-Rock has been a main fixture of the House Music scene in Frankfurt / Germany since the 1990s. No matter what the current trends were, he always kept it deep and funky. His first release in 1995 contained a crazy club banger that became a favourite of many local and international Djs - „Funky Dope Trakk.“ Ricardo Villalobos is just one example who couldn't stop playing it over decades. In 2012/13 the original tune got remixed and reissued on C-Rock's own imprint, „Lo-Fi Stereo.“ Both versions of the tune are long out of print and have become very Rare. So „All That Jelly“ will now reissue those four versions, carefully remastered and re-cut from the original DATs for maximum club performance and enjoyment during the next 30 years!

All originate from the same Gherkin sessions as Mr. Heard's two outstanding late 80's EP's but were never released as such. The moniker showed a different side to his sonic pallet, and would innovate the acid sound to great FX, influencing a great many of artists in the decades that followed. Devin Brahja Waldman is a New York saxophonist, drummer, synthesizer player and composer who leads the group Brahja. Waldman has accompanied his aunt, poet Anne Waldman, since the age of ten. Waldman is a co-founding member of Radical Reversal, Diva of Deva Loka, and Notable Deaths. He has performed with Patti Smith, William Parker, Nadah El Shazly, Malcolm Mooney, Thurston Moore, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Charles Hayward, Luke Stewart and Yoshiko Chuma. Waldman is also a member of NYC's Heroes Are Gang Leaders (led by poet Thomas Sayers Ellis and saxophonist James Brandon Lewis), of Sam Shalabi's Land of Kush, and of the Norwegian hardcore group MoE.

As a youngster, Waldman was taken under the wing of avant-garde giant Paul Bley. Along with Anne Waldman and cousin Ambrose Bye, Waldman is a co-producer for Fast Speaking Music -a NYC poetry and music label which has released recordings with Amiri Baraka, Meredith Monk, William Parker, Laurie Anderson, Eileen Myles, CAConrad, Fred Moten, Daniel Carter, Clark Coolidge, Thurston Moore, Joanne Kyger and many others.

Teddy Douglas presents Monday Night Studio Sessions Live @ Rockwell is a unique recording from a legendary event that is all about putting the focus on house music's finest artists. Monday Night Studio Sessions @ Rockwell is the brainchild of the imitable house impresario Teddy Douglas and his partner DJ Tanz. The night started in 2017 and ever since has showcased true artistic talent in a perfect setting with the legendary likes of Byron Stingly, Lalah Hathaway, Jasper St Company and Josh Milan, just a few of the animus who have played in the past. This session was live on the Monday and then recorded in Teddy's studio the night after with Davon McCoy on percussion, Charles Dockins on keyboards and the maestro DJ Tanz and Teddy Douglas conducting the show. Standout tracks on this essential collection include the 'I'm Blessed' Remix by Richard Burton with its driving gospel handclaps and Charles Dockin's magical live piano over the top. 'Spanish Joint' is a chunky dance floor party record that builds and builds with mesmerizing and hypnotic Spanish guitar played by Skip and the Whole Nine Yards. It is the Monday night theme song and gets played twice a night. 'You Can Do It' by Barbara Tucker, Zhana, and Teddy Douglas was the first single from the LP last year and epitomizes the musical house grooves you can expect at one of these sessions. Rochelle Fleming's 'Nobody's Fool' and 'Get Lifted' by Andrea Holdclaw were two strong singles before the pandemic, and 'We Belong Together' from the voice of house, Mr Bryon Stingily, and Teddy Douglas is the 100th release on the label, and it has a catchy hook that adds to the legacy of Byron Stingly classics. 'Rise (instrumental)' from Teddy Douglas is an absolute crowd favourite with powerful grinding organs that wail and moan with intensity throughout the tune. 'Gotta Get Away' is DJ Tanz's first production and an absolute killer with a techy 80's edge design to get the floor pumping. Add in the live and off-the-cuff happenings of Navasha Daya scatting to the crowd over 'Supernova Spinning' and percussionist Davon McCoy and saxophonist Brandon Moultrie having a jam session - you have a magical session captured in all its glory. The sublime collection is a real labour of love that features superbly talented artists at the top of their game.

Celebrated UK producer Preditah makes his debut on Palm Recs with ‘Glucose’ & ‘1950’. The two-tracker sees Preditah going back to the roots of his iconic UK garage infused dance-floor sound. The double a-side acts as the third release on the label, fresh from the success of DRAMA’s Don’t Hold Back last month and Girls Of The Internet in May. Preditah rose to prominence in the UK grime scene, signing to iconic collective Boy Better Know in 2013 before going on to produce official remixes for the likes of Disclosure, Skepta and Robyn to name a few. His productions have achieved BPI Gold and BPI Platinum status on several occasions, including 2017’s smash On My Mind with Jorja Smith and 2019’s So High with Mist & Fredo, the latter landing at number seven in the ‘Official UK Singles Chart’. Preditah described how the release came to fruition, stating: “In this present moment I am in love with tech house, so this is my take on the genre. I've played a lot of shows in Ibiza and I can imagine Glucose going down well in that environment. 1950 represents a time before my time, a time where the 'bassline' was the top-line melody and the surrounding elements complimented it. I made this for the club scene.” That Balearic feel is felt right from the get-go on Glucose, as four-four drum patterns converge on a pumping, house-led groove. Preditah’s innate garage influences shine through in the female vocal hooks, whilst whispering hats march on in the background to form a summer heater through and through. 1950 opens with reverberating lyrical samples and an infectious rolling bassline, before warming synth stabs arrive to create a feel-good, late-night cut.

For the fourth release on DJ Koze and Marcus Fink's Pampa imprint, hyperactive hotshot house hunk Axel Boman steps up and delivers a stunning debut EP for the label. Since many years an important force on the small but friendly Swedish club scene, and one third of the Studio Barnhus crew together with Kornél Kovács and Petter, Axel is as experienced a producer as his ideas are fresh. This tattooed Swede often talks about creating "worlds" rather than "tracks", and on his "Holy Love" EP we are transported to three very different places indeed. The title track, a collaboration with vocalist J Jonason, invites you to take part in a lazy afternoon cocktail party onboard an old sailing boat in Gothenburg's archipelago. Ten City are mixing up the White Russians and Giorgio Moroder's estranged Swedish grandson is peeling the shrimp. You fall asleep on the patio and wake up in a sweaty basement later that night. Through the shabby speakers of one of those small but friendly Stockholm night clubs, you hear "Purple Drank", a sleazy, sexy number that draws influences from Houston style screw music, classic deep house and hypnotic techno. The irresistible vocal hook - "I woke up with your name on my lips" has already echoed across dance floors from Tokyo to Amsterdam. Bouncy yet unsettling, this track is probably the most obvious DJ's favorite on the EP. Morning comes yet again, and for the after party we head to Axel's private rooftop terrace in sunny Gröndal. The laptop speakers are banging out the most loved up piano loop you ever heard. "Not So Much" is as simple and naïve as Axel Boman's haircut, a perfect ending to a perfect night and a perfect little record from this imperfect genius of a dance music producer.

The Artist Concurrently Known As Jackmate has been already been indoctrinated into our cult since he signed onto he Pampa bookings roster awhile back. As SoulPhiction he is also co-founder of Philpot, the Stuttgart-based label, home to the majority of his releases over the past 10+ years. Anyway, we get the privilege of stamping the Turkey logo on SoulPhiction's first proper release of 2013, following his remixes for Murat Tepeli and Detroit Swindle. "When Radio Was Boss" is a tribute to those magical electromagnetic waves that ruled yesteryear. With that prototypical Pampa percussion-rattling and clanking its way into the room-and a warm, round bassline bounce combined with some symphonic froth in the atmosphere, this track definitely demands airplay. On the dancefloor, at least! (And right in the middle of the track, catch the pleasantly jarring shout-out from Wbau, the call sign of the defunct New York radio station that counted members of Public Enemy and hosts of Yo! MTV Raps amongst its staff.) On the flip, the bpm gets cranked down just a bit for "Maybachswagger"-If the A-side is a tribute to radio, the B has roller-skating on its mind. Starting out spooky with a sampled voice cooing over a slightly detuned bassline, the surprise comes in the final third, when a kawaii disco vibe drops in, seducing you onto the rink for a few laid-back laps.

No matter in which club of the world this tune might be dropped, pure euphoria appears instantaneously. "Taktell" is a warm, intelligent timeless piece of music. Yes, it's classic mesmerizing, melty, melancholic, terrific sounddesigned Rajko Müller material. Oh, that's Isolée's real name. Yes, it's hard to believe something so beautiful could come from such a wretched species as homo sapiens. This is the kind of music that sounds like it was plucked directly from a dewy-leafed Haribo tree by a one-eyed synthasaurus. It's an evergreen already and taken from upcoming Isolée album Well Spent Youth, to be released on Pampa Records on January 28th, 2011. Side AA: Robag Wruhme - Thora Vukk Robag Wruhme, by no mere coincidence, is also preparing his latest full-length album Thora Vukk, to be released in late March 2011. Robag´s festive anthem "Thora Vukk", here in a special 12" edit, raises highest expectations on the upcoming longplayer, which guarantees the most exceptional & beautiful material that the world has seen in a long time. On "Thora Vukk" THX-sounds meet frenzy-melancholy, tardiness on focused half metallic reverberations and half fairy-tale make-out sessions. After a few nice but largely unnoticed 12"s for lower-profile labels, Dürerstuben is ready to make a serious maneuver, and Pampa is pleased to provide them with the proper platform. The Sheets of Rane EP is the Berliner duo's most sophisticated statement yet, imbuing cold programmed sounds with a glowing human touch and a penchant for melody. A1 "Gscheids Planet" unfolds with a deceptive intro, click-clackety downtempo stomps and crunchy snares beneath a tender vocoder coo, just when some muted guitar plucks crescendo into a burst of robo-synths. Although three minutes have passed, only now does the song reveal its true nature, a summery tune with rich synths that billow in the wind. Then, as its title indicates, "Haeckles Kosmos" further explores Dürerstuben's fascination with the unlimits of outer space. This star system in particular has a very tropical flair, punctuated with bouncy parallel fifths straight out of the Italo Orient. In between movements, the duo makes some brief non sequiturs into piano balladry, the kind that force a smile (and a record deal) out of DJ Koze. Finally, venturing even further into jacking territory, "Freiherr in der Wall" hinges upon syncopated, sometimes faltering beatbox rhythms, a swaggering bassline and fluttering arpeggiation. Coupled with hand-played chords, this is a prime example of how Dürerstuben can tame the beast machine and let irregularities be strengths. If you can get down with Metro Area, Zapp, Tensnake, and yes, even Survivor, then pick this one up.

To mark EPM’s 20th anniversary we’ve been releasing a series of EPs, each one focussing on a different genre. In May we brought you a taste of Techno with Robert Hood, Ben Sims, James Ruskin and Mark Broom each delivering their distinct production skills, whilst this September sees the release of our second EP bringing together cuts by some of Electro’s leading lights - The Advent & Zein Ferreira, Carl Finlow, Detroit’s Filthiest and Modulator (a.k.a. Freddie Fresh). For the third and final EP in the series we turn our attention to House music, and once again we’ve commissioned four brand new and exclusive tracks from artists who we’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years. First up is none other than a Detroit Techno founding father and the TechnoSoul innovator himself Eddie Fowlkes, who delivers a classy opener in ‘1-2-3’ that’s deep yet vibrant and showcases his legendary status. Next is a fellow Motor City modernizer, Jon Dixon whose musicianship and productive talent takes him from jazz to techno which he skilfully brings to ‘Mack & Bewick’. Motech Records’ founder DJ 3000 brings us the spirit of ‘Summer 1995’ as he briefly steps away from techno to give us this uplifting sun-drenched stunner. Final track ‘The Beat’ comes from Rico & Sonny, the pseudonym of Chicago based DJ duo and production team of Adam Stolz and the talented Tim Baker, recorded before his devastating and untimely passing. His music lives on and we’d like to dedicate this EP to him. The ‘epm20’ compilation which features all the tracks from the EPs plus additional cuts from a host of other artists and EPM friends will follow this autumn.

Aussie DJ and producer DJ Life has been a name on everyone’s lips since surfacing as one of progressive dance music’s most exciting emergers. Stellar releases have come on Dansu Discs and Echocentric Records, with remixes from fellow prog-trance-techno influencers Adam Pits and Rudolf C, cementing his place at the top of the long-blend rise. Now, debuting on Distant Horizons, DJ Life produces four typically entrancing cuts of hypnotic, stylish and straight-up fun dance music with its crosshairs fixated firmly on those dark, sweaty, underground nights. ‘Gnagnag’ gets the warm-up underway with its playful M1 chords and punchy kicks; a marching-on-the-spot number that was born to get silly to. ‘Zweop’ takes the tempo up a notch as we swap the waft for a heads-down aesthetic; a heady-blend of tech-house (the good kind) and prog creating a peak-time cruiser. ‘Behemoth’ presses pause on the trippy 4x4 in favour of wobbly basslines and breaks - much in the vein of the excellent Casa Voyager crew - electro feels and glowing atmospherics taking you on a 6-minute trip driving down the desert highway, before ‘Acidophilus’ sees us out with? As 2021 presses on and clubs and parties across the world start back up, we are graced with another top notch release from DJ W!LD’S label, Dailycid Music. As always with Dailycid, you know it will be a release oozing with class and genre bending tracks. First on Dailycid 014 we have label boss DJ W!LD and Inessa Raum who are collaborating on the first track of the EP, “Fetish Night”. Straight away you are trapped by the deep synths and breakbeat pattern creating a curious vibe. As the track progresses you get slapped by a somewhat nostalgic bassline. This one is sure to get you dancing. Next up, Alvaro Medina with “Hit & Run”, an absolute sub-shaker with a classic house twist creating a great contrast. The beat powers through while the broken vocal samples send you into a state of confusion, but undeniably a dancing frenzy. Continuing on, we have Pemax & Sisto with “Come Closer”. This one delves straight in at the deep end from the get go, combining the dark with the deep creating a “lost” atmosphere. The meandering break on this one takes you on a spaced out voyage. Closing the EP off with style we have MoMa with “Weesperplein”. A combination of stuttering beats, chopped samples and luscious deep chords to close off Dailycid 014. A great closer or early morning track for discerning record diggers. Release date coming soon.
