Metropolitan Indian & RVNG Intl. present the historics Infinidelity 12" series. Inspired by a short story of the same name by author Chris Leo, Infinidelity offers ten songs from historics late 2009 album debut, Strategies For Apprehension, transformed by an assembly of artists from the outer ether of the electronic music world. Infinidelity Pt. 3 closes out the 12" series with two monstrous remixes. UK remix maven and recent Strut Records mix maker Leo Zero turns "Skin Orders" into a sprawling, eight minute mix of rapid fire drum patterns akin to "Bombs Over Baghdad" and odyssey-like, Garcia inspired guitar work by Crow of Mountain of One. Canadian producer Andrew Allsgood's take on "Two Tons" stomps away with a heavy kick, conga-laden percussion, and fuzzed out bass line, eventually oscillating into a cosmic cataclysm and refrain. This remix fits in nicely with Allsgood's classic 12" for History Clock and features additional production by Worst Friends. Complete the Infinidelity series with this final chapter. Infinidelity was mastered by Graeme Durham at The Exchange. Each 12" comes in an extremely limited edition of 300 copies, absolutely stunning artwork by Mark McCoy.

THESE ARE POWERS kick off the EP with "Candyman", a naughty nursery rhyme set to a bombastic East meets West-Indies reggaeton shuffle. The rifling bass and scattered snare shots of "Gutterspaces" emerge as dancehall back from the future, followed by the sputter to mega-life Chicago juke and drone fest of "World Class Peoples". Freerange Sounds - which shouldn't be confused with Jimpster's deep house label Freerange - is reissuing its first release from back in May 2022 here. It's a dark garage outing from 9trane that kicks off with 'Keep It Moving' (feat Riko Dan) with edgy vocals, late-night urban menace and some crisp drum patterns. The fantastic Bakey dub mix brings more pruning basslines and withering pads while the instrumental is stripped back and more haunting. Last of all is 'Hear This' which leans on the Burial style of ghostly production but with a more fulsome low-end and prickly percussive brew riding the beats. Serious tackle for sure.

Christian Rinderman aka C-Rock has been a main fixture of the House Music scene in Frankfurt / Germany since the 1990s. No matter what the current trends were, he always kept it deep and funky. His first release in 1995 contained a crazy club banger that became a favourite of many local and international Djs - „Funky Dope Trakk.“ Ricardo Villalobos is just one example who couldn't stop playing it over decades. In 2012/13 the original tune got remixed and reissued on C-Rock's own imprint, „Lo-Fi Stereo.“ Both versions of the tune are long out of print and have become very Rare. So „All That Jelly“ will now reissue those four versions, carefully remastered and re-cut from the original DATs for maximum club performance and enjoyment during the next 30 years!

Label regulars DeWinter & Emma return with 'Unity', the spoken word Spanish vocals interweaving with choppy snare patterns and a room-filling reverberating bass roar that hits paydirt when English vox and a kick hit late in its second half. The Infinidelity story is one of meditation within / without a relationship, wrapped in a transient prose that skirts comedic and tragic traditions. Strategies For Apprehension deals in related subjects, those of bonds forged and broken, of ever-shifting alliances. In keeping with those themes, the conception and recording of the record were devoutly unfaithful to any rote route of standard-fare album construction. From those sessions were born enough boundless ideas to place in the hands of others, who in turn have created their own commentaries on and reinterpretations of the music. The Infinidelity Pt. 1 12" flickers to life with a re-work of "Fan Fare" by Tom Croose, a track that swells with a massive drum loop, buzzy bass blasts, and an ominous synth line only to break itself down and accentuate a stark female vocal sample. The glimmering sensibility of Croose's track patters over into the buildup of Sir Billy and Creso's Saturday Crimson Mix of "Kinda Personal", another warm track with its roots grown thick in a heavy kick, and its wings beating to the crisp high hat on the up beat. Low Motion Disco's take on "Languages", a meditative number, recalls the even unfolding of an early morning, the calm of the evening, and the moment before you head into the night for the acid thump of Pink Stallone's remix of "City to City" and repeat the shimmering cycle. The artwork, also informed by Leo's story, was created by artist Mark McCoy. The intricate collages convey sanctity within immolation, sacrifice to nature's thorny embrace. The duo of Kolorit are probably best known through their respective solo careers - Jens Kuhn under the guise of Lowtec and Gunnar Wendel as that of Kassem Mosse. That the two would have a duo together should come as no surprise, as Wendel has had numerous releases on Kuhn’s label Workshop through the years.

The Kolorit project took shape sometime in 2017 following a night in Bristol where they were both booked for live shows and - on a whim - decided to combine them on stage and see what happened. This laid back and playful attitude would later manifest into the Workshop-released debut album the following year. Crafting unclassifiable mutations of house and techno through live improvisations, the two could join the dots between experimental urges and a dancefloor potential into a vision of crisp drum machines and wobbly melodies.

Lowtec being no stranger to the blundar label (his untitled album of 2015 would be the label’s first,followed by a 12” and a cassette in 2020) it would seem fitting that the duo would continue their journey here with a 2-track 12” further exploring their work. Both tracks here are proper club tools, making this a more compact and focused release than its predecessor. Yet the improvised flavors are present: on the A-side propelled by a jazzy keyboard jam that explores the room like a dancer loosening up their joints. The B-side, while maintaining a crisp motorik beat, bubbles with flourishes of synthesized flutes - somehow both euphoric and unhinged in direction - pierced by the steadfast punctuation of a Brazilian cuica.

It is evident that Kolorit are playing with the color palette of deep house, yet taking things just a notch further with a dry European sense of humor. Exuding humidity and pulsing with heat, these jams utilize the inherent qualities of the right machines without the need for an abundance of filters - making for a stripped down yet fully fleshed out aural experience.

Issued on his crescive Afroterraneo imprint, Kiko Navarro reunites with longtime collaborator and friend, Latin-Grammy award winning vocalist Buika, for new single ‘El Silencio’.

First meeting back in 1997 on their native island of Mallorca, Navarro and Buika most recently worked together for the heart-rending Latin House song ‘Lo Siento’, one of the highlights of Navarro’s 2017 album ‘Everything Happens For a Reason’, as well the 2006’s ‘Soñando Contigo’ on Pacha Recordings, which remains an enduring classic.

Originally written in 2010 but never released at that time, ‘El Silencio’ comes complete with a brand new club version, for which Buika has recorded fresh vocals. When the pair returned to the studio in September 2023, it was as if they’d never been apart. “It was like the time didn’t really pass” says Kiko. “We have this connection that doesn’t go anywhere. We know each other so well, and we know what we want. Working with her has brought me many good things, and I’m so excited to share the new music we’ve made together with the World.”

‘El Silencio’ (‘The Silence’) is a slinky, mid tempo groover with subtle jazz-funk touches, accompanying a universal song about love. “It’s about a couple who have loved each other through hard times, and a desire to be together still. There’s a message of hope here, saying ‘let’s try’. No drama, no anger, just love” says Kiko.

Arguably one of the most memorable house music moments, born out of the black Lgbt scene in Chicago at the legendary Warehouse and known as one of Frankie Knuckles earliest productions; ‘Your Love’ is a stone cold classic. A record that is up there with the greats, instantly recognisable and a song that only get better with time. Written by Jamie Principle and originally released in 1986, ‘Your Love’ has become a seminal recording over the past 34 years. Originally an underground club anthem, famously borrowed on the crossover hit ‘You’ve Got The Love’ (The Source feat. Candi Staton), and most recently re-produced by as part of the Director’s Cut project which aimed to update a number of classic cuts for the modern dancefloor, this is a record that endures the test of time. Working alongside The Frankie Knuckles Foundation and Eric Kupper, SoSure Music now releases two new remixes for 2020 from Darrius Syrossian and Alan Dixon. First up, House music aficionado and legendary Sankey’s resident Darius Syrossian offers his unique blend of beats to the remix package. With releases on the likes of Get Physical, Viva Music and Hot Creations, Darius’ production is heavily influenced by some of the greats – think of the finest spinners from Detroit, New York and Chicago – and is well placed to approach this huge task. Darius introduces a rolling house beat and some old skool breakbeats into his mix, keeping the energy high throughout; bringing a feeling of a euphoria and hitting the peak time moment. Charting a rapid rise through the ranks in a relatively short time Alan Dixon is already building a name for himself in House and Nu Disco scene and has recently released on labels including Glitterbox, Permanent Vacation, Running Back and True Romance. Alan’s remix aims directly at the centre of the disco dancefloor. A strong beat dominates a unique energy through the mix along with a slightly nostalgic vibe. With a beautiful floaty interlude and a raw emotion this remix updates a classic with respect while also giving a fresh new twist.
