Created from scratch and solely on the mythical synthesizer ARP 2600 (check www.letsnerd.com for help), it features four tracks (reads instant classics) that couldn’t be a better followup to his 2011 super hit EP “Ragysh”. Towering over the assortment is the laser crime scene called “Inspector Norse”. Defying genres and blinkers, this is finest goose bumps dance music that makes you whistle along, laughing and crying all at the same time – but the rest isn’t half bad either. Born in Austria, he relocated to his current home of Los Angeles at the age of 8 and, following a brief career in hip-hop, found his home in electronic music. If you're even the slightest fan of the genre, you’ll be hard-pressed not to have heard his music over his decade long career. Whether on his own Palette Recordings, Poker Flat, or Plug Research — plus a Fabric Mix CD under his belt, it’s thanks to a steady stream of massive releases (think “Mono On Mono” and “Sweat On The Walls”) that he remains a mainstay in the charts of Beatport and uncountable DJs. He is also half of the long-standing City Centre Offices act, I’m Not A Gun (together with Takeshi Nishimoto). “I wanted to experiment with some longer phrases again and to step away from the analog sequencers more and get back to using my hands to create the melodies. I also feel for the first time in quite a while I've made an album of songs for myself without worrying about the usual pressures.” Resident Advisor called Tejada “one of the most notoriously meticulous producers around" — an unmistakable proof lies within these recordings. Genres collide and combine with an unraveling of blissful layers on “Parabolas”. The opening track, “Farther & Fainter,” offers a musicality today's techno and house often lack — an accomplishment that resonates throughout the album. Tracks such as “Subdivided” and “Unstable Condition” reflect the wondrousness of Aphex Twin’s Polygon Window project, something that could only be reanimated and brought to 2011's standards by Tejada. “Parabolas” is a true highlight in John Tejada’s deep catalogue. Almost two years after their sensational debut release‚ Blaue Moschee, the arena rocking EP that's still a permanent fixture in Sven Väth's record bag, Die Vögel have laid another milestone in the history of club music - the Fratzengulasch EP. Ground breaking, surreal and captivatingly timeless, this dance music doesn't give a damn about the laws of gravity and the monotony of everyday routines. For some reason or another, there seems to be a sort of restricting fence around the electronic dance music scene at the moment. In true Trojan style, Die Vögel batter and ram the wall until a hole appears; a hole big enough for all the gleely squealing party people to crawl through. Out and on to freedom! It's a brave new world and help is at hand for the weary of ear. Listen in to the dream-like canons, freely dissonant brass orchestrations and hypnotic-psychedelic beats. The arrangements are clever, without relying on samples and tried and tested techniques. Off they stroll, Mense Reents and Jakobus Siebels, breathing in the fresh air, enjoying a clear view of a history of nocturnal dance music that goes back beyond 1986 and Chicago and is today international electronic folklore. It was the machines that taught Die Vögel duo to play their instruments in a different way and from them the machines have learned what makes a musician tick. That's how songs like ‚Fratzengulasch' come about: A tribal meditation, and a beautiful canon sung by Jakobus and Ebba Durstewitz, otherwise known as the band Ja König Ja. Or the glorious ‚Maikäferbenzin': There are sub binaural sounds on this track that get your brain hemispheres swinging in perfect synchronicity, on a frequency generally only experienced when in a trance. And there they're left, swinging away until the last third of the song where an abrupt saxophone break briefly interrupts, only to deliver the listener safely back into an absolute state of bliss and felicity. Mense and Jakobus' brilliant Pantha du Prince remix got people wondering but even before that the question cropped up: what is this music? DJ Koze calls it ‚Sect Funk'. We say: Pampa style in its purest form! Die Vögel' album will be released at the beginning of 2012.

The third release on Slices OF Life comes from the Berlin vinyl DJ and producer Baaz, who has been gaining steady growing attention by House Music lovers and DJ's. He is the reason that Daniel Bell reactivated his Elevate label to release a Baaz 12inch in 2008. This ep and the releases on Agnes' label Sthml Audio opened up the door for very productive collaborations with other labels and dj's. The 3 tracks on Slices OF Life show Baaz's focus on deep pure and simple House grooves that roll on massively, and work perefectly without using obvious effects and frills. The A side "Judy's Bass" clearly reveals Baaz's love of fat bassdrums and basslines in combination with classic drum machine and percussion elements while the stringline carries you away endlessly. With "Jeally" on B1 Baaz delves even deeper into percussion programming and creates a perfect deep track for the late hours. It's been three years since Swiss producer Michel Cleis conjured a storm with "La Mezcla", a Cadenza hit cemented into house canon as it was swiftly reissued by Strictly Rhythm, bringing the sabor latino into clubs worldwide. Some more 12"s and a number of high-profile remixes (going from tracey thorn to skunk anansie,for labels like rekids , bronswood or Aus) later, he's now teaming up with DJ Koze's crew for his next move: a colorful, crescendoing 12-minute tune that's ready to make a splash in your summer soundtrack. "Mir a Nero" begins with a steady, upbeat kick underlying a simple piano arpeggio - like if Philip Glass make dance music - but then some accents of vibrant hand percussion loosen up the vibe, soon progressing into rhythmic layers that cause the energy to swell. By the 4-minute mark, a subtle, buzzing synth permeates the background, contrasting the track's overall organic feel, leading into the playful piano chords and colombian vocal hook. Simply put, this is Latin House with that anomalous Pampa Records swagger, drenched with flavor like Sangria-soaked mango. Flip that baby over and you get "Amaranthus", named after the famed flower that represents immortality. This piece stands as a color-negative of "Mir a Nero", an unwavering stomp with just shadows of the piano sample heard earlier. Freeze-dried rather than sun-ripened, "Amaranthus" is a dubby, more technofied counterpart to the A-Side, crafted for deeper and darker moments on the dancefloor.

After his separation from Playhouse in 2007 and the rather longish break that followed it, it looks as if Isolée has finally found their new homebase with Pampa Records. Evidence of this may be found in such unprejudiced tracks as "Taktell", a single extracted from the album "Well-Spent Youth" . As is tyical for Isolée, it defies any clear-cut genre classification and creates its very own harmonic setting, merging associations of pop, house and distant landscapes into a unique sound voyage. Now his second EP on Pampa is being released, and "Allowance" doesn't leave an inch of a doubt where the road is headed. Without making any concessions to the needs of a DJ, from bar one the theme is being introduced in all its inherent necessity and then continually established until a seemingly worn-out, mainstream, pop autotune voice settles upon the cosy bass bed just like a cherry on the cake. We haven't known Isolée anywhere near as free and poppy in a very long time. A more mix-friendly version of the track will be available for digital download. "You Could Do Your Memories" lures the listener away into a daydream, as if he suddenly found himself in an unknown place at a new-wave party that cannot possibly have happened the way it did. "Wobble", on the other hand, leaves only few questions unanswered, the party definitely looks familiar, and just when we reach that point where the funk motif resulting from the fusion of bassline and chords is threatening to wear us down, we are being released.

Inspired by a short story of the same name by author Chris Leo (Feathers Like Leather, 57 Octaves Below..., White Pigeons), Infinidelity offers ten songs from historics late 2009 album debut, Strategies For Apprehension, transformed by an assembly of artists from the outer ether of the electronic music world. The Infinidelity story is one of meditation within / without a relationship, wrapped in a transient prose that skirts comedic and tragic traditions. Strategies For Apprehension deals in related subjects, those of bonds forged and broken, of ever-shifting alliances. In keeping with those themes, the conception and recording of the record were devoutly unfaithful to any rote route of standard-fare album construction. From those sessions were born enough boundless ideas to place in the hands of others, who in turn have created their own commentaries on and reinterpretations of the music. The Infinidelity Pt. 1 12" flickers to life with a re-work of "Fan Fare" by Tom Croose, a track that swells with a massive drum loop, buzzy bass blasts, and an ominous synth line only to break itself down and accentuate a stark female vocal sample. The glimmering sensibility of Croose's track patters over into the buildup of Sir Billy and Creso's Saturday Crimson Mix of "Kinda Personal", another warm track with its roots grown thick in a heavy kick, and its wings beating to the crisp high hat on the up beat. Low Motion Disco's take on "Languages", a meditative number, recalls the even unfolding of an early morning, the calm of the evening, and the moment before you head into the night for the acid thump of Pink Stallone's remix of "City to City" and repeat the shimmering cycle. The artwork, also informed by Leo's story, was created by artist Mark McCoy. The intricate collages convey sanctity within immolation, sacrifice to nature's thorny embrace. Kevin O'Neill at Will Work For Good commanded the build & design of the packaging...

Infinidelity Pt. 3 closes out the 12" series with two monstrous remixes. UK remix maven and recent Strut Records mix maker Leo Zero turns "Skin Orders" into a sprawling, eight minute mix of rapid fire drum patterns akin to "Bombs Over Baghdad" and odyssey-like, Garcia inspired guitar work by Crow of Mountain of One. Canadian producer Andrew Allsgood's take on "Two Tons" stomps away with a heavy kick, conga-laden percussion, and fuzzed out bass line, eventually oscillating into a cosmic cataclysm and refrain. This remix fits in nicely with Allsgood's classic 12" for History Clock and features additional production by Worst Friends. Complete the Infinidelity series with this final chapter. Infinidelity was mastered by Graeme Durham at The Exchange. Each 12" comes in an extremely limited edition of 300 copies, absolutely stunning artwork by Mark McCoy.

'Unfamiliar Territories EP' opens with the deep down perc jam named 'Momentum' a moody dubbish track that sets the tone for things to come. The title track offers a more emotive ride that's being supported by tough saw basses and windy pads that float throughout. The B side openen Science is a tough house cut that is reminiscent of the glory days of US deephouse and sounds as a solid classic rather than a new cut. The closing down bit '1 more' is the same story. Firmly produced drum patterns with classic bass sounds and hazy pads.
