Leena is one of the fast-growing names of the Bulgarian thriving r&b scene. UK-trained, she’s currently looking into moving to Berlin to explore new musical horizons after being supported by Tidal Global, Sofar Sounds Global, and numerous curators like Sidekick Music, CloudKid, afterhours., Topsify, etc. Being featured in the new albums of renowned Sofia-based rapper Grigovor & producer Gena from So Called Crew, she’s already gained a steady following to her music.

Her latest single “Assumptions” (and first release via Stereofox Records) served as a warm-up to the upcoming album called Labyrinth of the Subconscious, which she’s been preparing for a couple of years. A 10-track journey, exploring unknown corners of her mind, various emotions, and both the colourful & darker aspects of what happens inside our heads.

Built upon contrasts, the album offers a variety of genres and topics that will take you places you haven’t imagined – infused by both producers on the record – Gena & Kamen’s unique instrumental approaches. Be it the fresh & upbeat “Vertigo” and “Mad Dreams”, or “Body” with Yaиа (another stunning local singer and vocal teacher) which falls somewhere between slow-dance and sultry r&b. Or the deep sci-fi-esque “Borrowed Time” and the emotional “Don’t Panic” (which will come with a hazy music video). Or you might fall in love with the FKA Twigs-like “Senses”, the indie-pop “Backlight”, or the closing ballad “Until The Morning”. Whatever you choose, you’ll enter an exciting rabbit hole through contemporary r&b, soul, and indietronica.

Roméo Johnny Elvis Strauss Van Leaken has made "Morale" a place where each of us can find him in order to listen to his stories. Between self-mockery, references and reflections, we are able to find in this place neat and humorous lyrics, however, not to be taken lightly. The atmosphere is soaring but doesn't prevent us from discovering the failings and the ambition of the young Belgian rapper : "Brussels is coming!"

" I’ve started to work on this album before I knew it. During June 2018 I was in Japan for a month to release my previous album « Cairn » as well as my first solo exhibition of drawings in Tokyo.

Everyday on my way to the gallery I passed in front of the same building, its name kept haunting me.

Back then I was digging for cheap 80’s Japanese CD’s in second hand stores. Most of them set the tone of this album and the direction I wanted to follow. I feel there’s a direct connection between these original sources and the sound I pursue by their meditative aspect.

Most of the demo songs were done before my daughter’s birth on August 2019 and were finalized since then. Many of the titles refer to this main event and relate to how it changed my position in life : being a link through time by becoming a father. "

Everybody having seen those two on stage together knows about the energetically explosive chemistry of this extraordinary tag team. Their second LP is characterised by an evolution in sound and lyrics. Thelonious Coltrane’s productions cover an enormous spectrum between perfectly picked, overcompressed loops and brutally driving drumsets. With his self-critical, reflectiv, but also technically phenomenal lyrics, Peter Manns forms coherent songs, which not seldomly exceed the four-minute-mark. Lovingly arranged, with suitable citations and enchantingly applied vocal contributions from Kasia Konstance, many songs of the LP become modern RnB-highlights.

„ii'nd“ creates the taste of fiery life with all of its ups and downs, of friendship, passionate musical-craftmanship and studio sweat by the bucket. We ought to be delighted to soothingly lie in each other's arms to the sound of „Run it Up“ or „Today I Die Again“, as soon as those two will be going on tour. Halleluja!

"Dicker, krieg dein Arsch hoch und hol dir dein Haq. Keiner wird's für dich tun." Das ist der Gedanke den Ipp Halver hatte als er anfing sein Deutsch Neo-Soul Album zu schreiben. Und die erste Single "Keiner" des kommenden Album "Kneipenkind" knallt rein und stellt klar, dass er seinen Arsch hochgekriegt hat und es eben kein anderer für ihn getan hat. Das Ganze erinnert an einen jungen Anderson .Paak straight aus Berlin-Schöneberg, produziert von Swoosh Hood mit Livedrums von Aidan Keith Lowe. Das Projekt „Kneipenkind" ( VÖ 26.11) ist das Debütalbum von Ipp Halver und das wahrscheinlich erste Neo-Soul Album auf Deutsch. Das Album ist biografisch beeinflusst und beschreibt den innerlichen Konflikt zwischen Kirche und Kneipe, Erzählungen von Erlebten im Großstadtdschungel Berlin, Sucht, der Gang und der ewigen Suche nach der vermeintlich Richtigen. Musikalisch hört man deutlich die Einflüsse von Ipp Halver — Hier mischen sich Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, 90er Hip Hop und Trapelemente, um sich zum Deutsch Neo-Soul Sound zu vereinen. „Kneipenkind" ist eine Reise ins Ich eines jungen Berliner Mannes, der von Song zu Song führt, wie ein gutes Buch von Kapitel zu Kapitel - und man möchte natürlich das Ende der Geschichte hören. Durch die jahrelange Live- und Studioerfahrung als Gospel- und Soulsänger gab es die Vision für ein Deutsch Neo-Soul Album schon seit langer Zeit, aber erst in den letzten 5 Jahren wurde an den konkreten Vorstellungen, sowie Soundbild gearbeitet und wird nun 2021 serviert!

Poly Poly are back with their second album “polytheism”!

Continuing their collaboration, Hans “Hu$tle” Heusterberg & Jona “Volt Age” Raischl delve deeper into the details and layers of the fabric that makes up their common musical space.

Synthesizing and refining their musical vision over the last three years, the duo used a plethora of different instruments. Old keyboards, various string instruments, samplers as well as live drums shape the sonics of this album, resulting in a unique sound. Poly Poly´s musical spacecraft is flying from Neo-Soul to Synthwave, from Beat Art to Jazz-Rock, from Synthesizer-Soul to Future-Funk, from the past to the future!

Poly Poly embarks on a journey between worlds supported by guest performers Carlile from Chicago, grasime from Leipzig, Matthias Lindermayer from Munich and Andreas Eiber from Würzburg. They contribute to the richness of the experience through voice, trumpet and electric bass.

Polytheism seeks to capture Poly Poly’s belief that there is no dark without light, no music without silence, and no happiness without sadness. The many different musical shapes and colors on PolyTHEISM represent these opposites - and the music cements the connection between them.
