Over the years they collaborated on a dozen songs via features and other artists while releasing various solo projects. King Tone aka Alamo (born Wilfredo Nunez) is a hip hop musician, born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Inspired by the golden age of hip hop, Tone gained an interest in music at a time when groups like N.W.A, Public Enemy and EPMD were pushing boundaries.

By 1991, when Tone had already written and recorded numerous projects independently, he was introduced to "Lenny Grace" aka "AFTAMAF" another local MC/Producer from the Providence Area which was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. Aftamaf's ability to create music using everything from live instruments, to the SP-12 and MPC paired with King Tone's "paint you a picture you can listen to" kind of flow proved to be the perfect combination. They were able to create classics like "Rhyme and Punishment" and "Victims of da Streets" in 1997 along with countless other hip-hop gems that remain unreleased. Around that time "MAF" went on to become one of the founding members of Blank Fasiz and D.U.N.A.T Productions while Tone continued to pursue his career as a solo artist.

Knowledge The Pirate is back! Roc Marci’s righthand man has been quietly building another masterpiece and as usual he’s kept his circle small. The album is fully produced by Pirate’s regular collaborator E.L.E.M.N.T. and noted Italian producer and Tuff Kong Records cofounder Cuns. There is no features on this project because Knowledge The Pirate felt the need to keep the spotlight firmly focused on himself this time around. The new full-length is titled “Family Jewels” and is based on the Black Madonna and Jesus’ bloodline. Of course, the record is still that hardcore Street Hop fans have come to expect from Pirate, but it’s also a little deeper than that. The first leak from the album, “Oni Experience,” finds Knowledge utilizing a conversational flow to drop mad jewels about street life, while the second leak, “Red Beam,” is some genuine weightmoving music. Vinyl is available as a limited edition of 500 numbered copies, with 2 different covers both provided by Le Daltonien as well as digipack and available on all digital streaming platforms from May 8th. A prolific artist in the extreme sense of the word, Knxwledge continues to redefine instrumental hip-hop almost in real-time with a stream of beat tapes numbering in the hundreds on Bandcamp, and video remixes on Instagram.

This prolific output began early. 1988 takes its name from the fact that much of the new record was created that very year, when Knx was an infant. As the story is told, little baby Knx was left alone by his mother for just a few moments and crawled to a family member’s vintage SP–12 sampler. When his mother returned he had already produced his first beats and nearly mastered the machine. These tracks, all produced before nap time while rocking a Nike diaper, were stored over the years on floppy discs, then brought to his studio in recent months where they were finished up, mixed, and mastered.

Almost a year after the previous work "Digital Church", which was created as a result of confronting his own music from the beginning and re-exploring music theory, etc., composed and expressed with new sounds ... It should be said that it is a sequel that could not be drawn in the previous work. The latest short poetry collection "Metamorphosis" is completed.

The concept of "Digital Church" that expresses how people understand each other's beliefs by being saturated, colliding and mixing in a cyber space called digital, with the intersection and saturation of synths and natural sounds. As it is, this work "Metamorphosis" is a collection of interludes, which was created as a sequel from the previous work. The work is expressed as a single album, including the development of the song, rather than being expressed as an individual song, and the work is finished so that it can be heard throughout. The 15th song includes a remix of "arne", which is one of the representative songs of haruka nakamura, which was co-written with the song "Ria" derived from the project of Isetan Shinjuku store. Repeat Pattern is in charge of the jacket photo.
