Italian Jazz Fusion quartet H-Owl Project are releasing their next single ‘Sea of Tranquility’ via the alternative label Group BraCil. Here's a funky introduction to the two man band Duoya from Sweden. Butter is their debut release, a three tracks EP containing two songs from the upcoming album and one exclusive. As they are perfecting their debut full length album we thought to introduce the project to you with this super limited 7" vinyl to mark the day.

Duoya is the funky brainchild of Gustav Horneij and Dimitrios Karatzios. The two met through a shared obsession with jazz vinyls and later started jamming, eventually forming Organic Pulse Ensemble together. While the project in time would turn into Gustav's one man venture, their creative chemistry was still there when they decided to start sending recordings and song sketches back and forth during the spring of 2020. Which in turn was the beginning of a new musical journey.

Harboring the creativity of both artists, Dimitri being an illustrator as well as a musician and Gustav being a multi-instrumentalist and a song writer. When they get together only good things happen. Specially while jamming, they express themselves freely and come up with crazy groovy music that everyone loves to vibe on.

In expectation for the amazing upcoming album that is in the works, Butter turned out to be the perfect appetizer to get in the mood and discover this brand new project with the complicity of Urban Waves Records.

German hardcore band Urge drops their fiery single release »Brainwashed«. After one year of work on this remix, Canadian rapper Abdominal who is known for his work with DJ Format is rhyming over a heavy Mo'Wax-esque beat produced by Smoove including lots of skilled cuts by Berlin based turntablist and DJ Robert Smith.

Together they built a deep-sounding monster of a tune. The 7inch which sits in a Japanese Katta round inner sleeve includes the original song as well as bonus Beats'n'Breaks for all the DJs.

Furthermore this release includes a hand-folded and hand-sleeved eco-printed poster for the black recycled version and a special riso-eco-printed high-quality poster (with vegetable inks) on the limited colored runs. There are 80 copies each of recycled red, light blue and dark blue transparent with color matching posters for sale on Bandcamp only. Total edition is 90 each (10 copies are reserved for the artists). All hand-numbered and hand-sleeved. When they're gone, they're gone.

The artwork of the poster is designed by Anton Volxem.

»Oonops Drops« is not a guitar-driven music label or specialized in hardcore or metal but it's an openminded label which finds ways to fuse and work until it fits with many different genres.

About Urge: The band was formed in 1989 and has a lot of stage experience touring with American and English bands. For instance, Urge toured Europe for a few weeks with Fugazi. They shared stages with MDC, Melvins, Fugazi, Voivod, Bolt Thrower, MDC, Melvins, just to name a few. Oonops's first encounter with Japanese producer Shin-Ski dates back six years when he asked him for an exclusive guest mix for his show on Brooklyn Radio. He became aware of him years ago through his group ShinSight Trio with Insight and DJ Ryow a.k.a. Smooth Current. After one more mix and two collaborations on his Resense-series plus »Oonops Drops - Vol.1« compilation via Agogo Records they started working together on a whole album of instrumentals.

For this 45 Oonops had the chance to dig through an amount of unreleased tracks and selected some of the essential essences with different influences from Jazz, Soul, Funk and much more.
