Regardless of producing underground classics like “Jazz auf Gleich” (2013) with Sichtexot rapper Eloquent, researching frequencies below 60 Hz with Hubert Daviz as a tag team (“Vapowavez”, 2018), or escorting you through the cold days of the year, making the experience of winter not being felt that bad (“Snow 1-4, 2016-18”). Wun Two‘s key motivation is the aesthetic standard, he applies to his works.

At the latest since “Pirata” (2019), a musical audio adventure in an English as well as in a German version (voice actors: Ugly God & Twit One), it is clear as daylight, that one does not only deal with a simple beat maker, but also a concept artist. In doing so, Wun Two‘s intention is not driven by binge-releasing his beats randomly rather than carefully selecting them in order to form them to a thoroughly illustrated album embedded in a lyrical frame work.

After the “Dolphi” EP as part of the “SXT Tracks“ series, the grand album “O Cavalo Vermelho” is being released in 2020. Based on an even more sophisticated sound, Wun Two takes the audience on a journey through a foggy but dry environment on the search for the “red horse”.
Musical support comes from his “partner in crime” Hubert Daviz, label mate Anthony Drawn (saxophone) and the exceptional artist Danae Greenfield (keys) from New York City.
The illustration and graphical concept is contributed by Robert Winter (Die Ottos).

Die Kompromisslosigkeit hinter dem Schaffensprozess, spiegelt sich in jedem einzelnen Bit, der auf 300 Stück limitierten Platte aus schwarzem Gold wieder. DJ Cutrock von den Forcki9ers sorgt für die beste Auflösung und Framerate, allerdings sind seine Hände für das bloße Auge nicht zu erkennen, wenn er seine punktgenauen Cuts abliefert. Der Soundtrack ist durchweg geprägt von düsteren und wuchtigen Diggy Mac Dirt Instrumentals. Dumi Right and the late Cadence of Raw Produce were frequent collaborators who connected after becoming label mates on the fledgling Domination Records. This led to a number of incredible creative works including a project called Alternate Reality. While much of their work has since seen the light of day, this song remained, unheard and locked in the vault until now. Produced by Cadence, “Opposite Day” features each MC hilariously playing the role of a rapper rhyming about things totally contrary to what they would do in reality. The song highlights all too common contradictions inherent in much of the commercial rap that is popular today.
The “Nightfall” is another dope track by Dumi Right that features Mr. Lif in a cautionary tale about working to not get caught up in negative cycles. Nightfall serves as a metaphor for falling victim to the darkness and self destructive activities that would lead one down a dead end path.

Crane City Music is proud to release Bobby Ro$$ from accomplished Seattle rapper and visual artist Perry Porter. His first full-length, Bobby Ro$$ is a vibe-heavy hustle through the landscape of art, blackness, and self-love. On it, he inhabits the alter ego of Bobby Ro$$, the trap music avatar of the much-loved PBS painter, Porter uses snippets of interviews with cultural luminaries such as Kara Walker, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Maya Angelou as a narrative lattice to paint himself into the canon of black art.

Originally from Tacoma, Washington—by way of rural Spanaway—Porter grew up playing drums and rapping over his own beats. His first foray into hip-hop was as half of buzzy local duo Sleep Steady, who received much acclaim in the Pacific Northwest and placed two songs in major video game titles (EA Sports UFC 2 and Cyberpunk 2077). He has since released several solo mixtapes, including 2018’s critically-acclaimed Channel Surfing mixtape.

As a visual artist, Porter’s dreamlike watercolor portraits and lush murals have been shown in galleries across the country. His notable collectors include several NFL Seahawks players. He incorporates live painting into his performances and is currently planning a 30-city pop-up painting tour of record stores for Spring 2020.

Bobby Ro$$ is the seventh record in the Crane City Music collection, a library of the hottest recent hip-hop albums from the Pacific Northwest on wax. The record assembles a wide variety of Seattle- and Tacoma-area talent, including producers Chong The Nomad, Jamie Blake, and Khris P, alongside rappers Blake Anthony, Romaro Franceswa, and Jarv Dee. The Crane City “Black Excellence” edition of Bobby Ro$$ is limited to 250 copies on black vinyl and features a cover designed by visual artist Izzy Vibes and liner notes by music journalist Martin Douglas.

Perry Porter has opened for national touring artists such as Joey Badass, SuperDuperKyle, and The Flavr Blue, and performed to sold-out crowds at 2019’s Capitol Hill Block Party music festival.
