Cold Busted has navigated the smooth seas to unearth Sailing, the new album from Moroccan guitarist and beat-flinger saib. The Casablanca-based producer has steered his sound into warmer waters. Mixing tempered hip hop beats with jazzy vibes and a lounge sensibility, saib. touches on a style that's both chill and opulent. The album's opener, "Archipelago," sets the scene with gentle piano, swirling strings, and beachside sounds that would make Martin Denny proud. "Tropics" pushes the agenda further, featuring delightful vibraphone lines, stand-up bass, and boom bap beats, providing the perfect soundtrack for poolside cocktails. The sleepy crooning of "Blue Memories," the future-retro sing-a-long of "Mermaid Dreams," and the guitar/vibes interplay of "Pastel" provide other highlights. Sailing's twelve songs show saib. as an artist capable of bringing a sunny climate to any listening environment.

Da Buze Bruvaz have created a modern Blaxploitation epic in hip-hop form. Known for their raw and unapologetic over the top lyrics, they have built a strong cult following. They now present Ni$&@tivity, their official follow up to 2017’s Adebesi Hat LP. This project is even more over the top and sounds like Richard Pryor having a hardcore battle with Redd Foxx. The Philadelphia duo have taken it up a degree and should offend pretty much any and everyone fairly. Aside from rhymes they are also longtime members of the legendary NY posse the LoLifes, founded by Thirstin Howl 3rd and are heavily regarded in that movement.

Throughout several years of collaborations and projects together, DITC immortal AG and Red Apples 45 producer and main man Ray West have a developed a chemistry that has no equals. Back in 2011 they dropped a collection of songs online entitled "Got Berries" which, to this day, has been unreleased in the physical form. The two always bring their top game when working together and the result is this collection of songs featuring guest appearances by the late Party Arty, Roc Marciano and Priest Da Beast. Tuff Kong teamed up with the two and Red Apples 45 to bring you this hidden gem on vinyl as a limited edition of 500 handnumbered copies on LP including a bonus 7", with the first 200 pressed on electric/ blue + transparent green vinyl, and the remaining 300 on black vinyl.

Over the last decade RAST has made a name for himself as one of the undergrounds most original voices. RAST has released a handful of albums, freestyles and a slew of online singles (including collaborations with Czarface, Hus Kingpin and Your Old Droog). But before all this, RAST held down the 90’s as part of the New York Graffiti crew RFC. It was
during this time that many of the tracks on “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” draw from. The album has no features and was produced entirely by The Czar-Keys (7L & Jeremy Page) - and this was done by design. 7L and RAST worked together on the vision and the direction they wanted to go with for the
album. As 7L points out “I wanted to really take it back to a time when the rapper was the main focus. This is also why we didn’t go with a group name or a RAST & 7L title. For me it was really all about RAST, and his
story is so personal that it just made sense for him to be the only voice you hear”. From the albums start, “Base” sets things off with organs that sound
straight off old Surf footage accompanied by a pounding break beat. RAST’s signature gruff voice goes from rugged raps to melodic singing and back. On “The Devils Playground” RAST delivers some of his most honest lines recalling his youth and battles with depression. On “I Lost My Mind and Found God” RAST states plainly in the hook “I ain’t gonna see no doctor unless I die". RAST delivers these lines with the maturity of a seasoned blues man. "Runaway Slave" is another great example of this, as the track roars with a powerful hook as if he were exorcising his demons over what sounds like a dusted church organ.
Other stand out gems like "Children of Attica", “The Little Boy Who Lived in a Tree” and “The Remarkable Story of the Silent Machine Gun” show that RAST is cut from a different cloth. “I Know Why the Caged Bird
Sings” is an album where, as pointed out in the albums intro "Caged", is RAST at his most honest and vulnerable.

Soul Kid Klik are a New York based crew that was formed by producer/rapper/Jazz musician/legend G-Clef Da Mad Komposa in the mid 90's and were one-time Wu-Tang affiliated. The crew hailing from different boroughs of NY delivered classic track after another and in 2001 the album finally dropped but only on CD leaving vinyl heads hungry for this gem. Jeremiah Jae (aka Black Daffi) is an experimental hip-hop artist born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He is a visual artist, producer, emcee and founding member of Black Jungle Squad, a music collective consisting of close friends and family. Early works by Jae dating back to 2007, display his unique style and approach to crafting his own version of “hip-hop”. The genre is one of many foundations the artist uses to communicate his range of styles as shown on previous self-released albums, compilations and collaborations (Holy Smoke, Oliver The 2nd, L’Orange, CohenBeats, PBDY), as well as praiseworthy offerings on Brainfeeder and Warp Records. With his newest solo album DAFFI, Jae expands on his production and speaks in the persona of his alter ego to express a darker side. The 16-track self-produced album was recorded in both Chicago and his Los Angeles home studio The Black Light. Contributions by fellow Black Jungle Squad brethren Oliver The 2nd (“Backpacks”), The Koreatown Oddity (“Figure Skating”), Busdriver (“In Da Zone”), Karenbe (“All Me”), and his legendary band leader and musician father Robert Irving III (“Nefertiti”) help carry the album to exalted heights and somber lows. It is with much merit for anyone to experience such a wide range of emotions, yet return to an even heightened state of artistry with such artistic beauty and grace. Jeremiah Jae’s DAFFI will be released with Los Angeles artist crew HIT+RUN assisting with the glorious double vinyl offering (plus 16-page full-color art book featuring stunning supplementary graphic work by Jae) with collectible one-of-a-kind screenprinted jackets. All of the double 12” vinyl of this modern classic include five bonus tracks (“Bells”, “Field”, “Harpoon”, “Know You” ft. Trent Truce, and a Jae remix of “Streetwatchers”) not available on the digital release.

J Cole Releases the long awaited vinyl for his album K.O.D. which was previously digitally and physically released on CD in April 20th. Prophet is an underground funk musician from the San Francisco Bay Area, who, until this year, had only put his name to one record: an obscure private-press LP called “Right On Time” (1984, Treasure Records). Full of mind-blowing no-BS boogie, it now has a dedicated cult following, with original copies are still changing hands.
Now he has a new album, his first in 34 years, and it still sounds '84. “Wanna Be Your Man”, produced with Mndsgn, will be released May 2018.

Finally, the wait is over! Curren$y and Harry Fraud's new joint effort is here. The rapper-producer duo unloaded “The Marina EP”, an eight-track project featuring guest appearances from Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Action Bronson, Smoke DZA and Street Wiz as a digital release at the end of May, and now it is seeing its way to vinyl.
Curren$y (aka Spitta Andretti) and Fraud previously connected on Cigarette Boats, an EP they dropped in 2012 as a Sound Cloud only release. “The Marina” sees their chemistry is still as sharp as ever, with each artist lending what we think are career-best efforts.
“The Marina” is a showcase for Spitta's understated, but clever brand of lyricism. Mr. Fraud also delivers, crafting a soundscape as dynamic as Spitta's subtly versatile flows. The chemistry between the two would make Walter White envious.
The show begins with "Radar Tower," a dreamy opening for a project filled with gems from Fraud and Curren$y. "Yours truly in the booth, packaging and wrapping these bricks/My style capture a chick, she was dressed quite ravishing/In the parking lot at the Radisson/With garbage bags of cash in the back of the van," Curren$y raps, tying in some nice alliteration while sounding as relaxed as can be.
With additional tracks featuring heavyweights like French Montana, Action Bronson, Smoke DZA and Wiz Khalifa, this release is certain to become an instant “must cop” release.

Fraud recalled his audition for Curren$y,
after meeting him while working on a
Smoke DZA project: ""I had met Curren$y
briefly for one second at a radio station,
but that was the first time we really kicked
it. He just asked me to play some beats,
and I played like five beats, and he was
just like, 'Yo, I need all of those. We gotta
do a little EP with those.'” Those same
five beats became the entire sound bed
for the ‘Cigarette Boats’."

Adum7 is an MC, producer born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island, NY. As MeccaGodZilla he helped to produce the music for NIKE's "Air Troupe" sneaker battle website and collaborated with Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill. In 2005 and 2014 he released two albums on CD.
