We're excited to welcome a debut on the label from one of our favourite post-millennium techno producers, Brian Gibbs, aka Gunjack!!! A string of dynamite early releases on Birmingham's Sheep Records and his own Deafmosaic imprint, set this LA producer out from the crowd in the early to mid '00s, quickly amassing a long list of in-your-face EPs across a range of scene leading labels. His dark, percussive techno stylings coupled with a larger than life character made him one of the community's most colourful personalities, who we've always greatly appreciated. Renewing his deep connection with techno in recent times and following on from a run of high-pressure dub techno offerings via his new label and collective Dubwars, Gunjack supplies us with four crunching club tracks in "Purple Room Trax Volume 1". Here he employs spiraling FM leads on the a-side with "Arson '78" and "Plastic Horns" while alternating between the suspenseful sirens of "Stormbells" and swarming, looped up power of "Liquid Crystals" on the flip. Unlike many one take live techno recordings, Gunjack's meticulously tweaked style leaves no fat, with a dynamic force that'll send the dancefloor into pandemonium. Piezo’s Ansia imprint returns for its 8th outing ‘Imago’, inviting Berlin’s Unity Vega for a split EP of uptempo dancefloor explorations that mine that fertile space between footwork, drum’n’bass, dancehall and experimental contemporary club sonics.

Unity Vega leads the charge with ‘No Body No Mind’ - a waterlogged darkside skanker that sits somewhere between the half-stepping jungle of the Uvb-76 crew and the kind of oddball dancehall deconstructions often peddled by Ansia's extended circles.
Appearing again on the flip, Vega ups his pace on ‘Set Em’ - a nervy footwork roller that pits gully hip-hop vocal chops against rising bell chords and washes of delayed noise. Think Rashad dubbed out by Kevin Martin and you’re in the right ballpark.

Label head Piezo’s contributions continue along similar lines, albeit in his own unmistakable style. ‘Toughts, Heavy’ also finds the midpoint between d’n’b and dembow, this time marrying a gurgling acid bassline with a euphoric-turned-paranoiac trance lead.
Up next, ‘Nel Frigo Ah’ strips things back to the raw, banging basics: a looping vocal call pinned down by a frenetic crescendoing drum workout.

To close, Japanese legend Foodman delivers a pots-and-pans rework of ‘Thoughts, Heavy’ - a true curveball tool for the adventurous DJs amongst us.

The EP by Bézier "Negative Velocity" sees the Californian artist (now for a few years a Berlin resident) initiate the launch of their new German-based record label "Körperspannung".

For 'Negative Velocity', Bézier collaborated with Bay Area drummer and avant-garde musician Dave Easlick taking live recordings of him on a drum kit warping and wrapping his pieces into curves and ellipses to project mappings outward into the atmosphere. From Easlick's source material Bézier generates a technological, multi-dimensional landscape through mental manipulation of sound waves bending the fabric of time and space. For both the title track and on the b-side 'Diabolical Embroidery' the lattice work here involved sampling and resampling every puncture from Easlick to atomize, pressurise, polish and disintegrate into fine particulate matter while reassembling parts back together fortifying the sonic tapestry further.

'Deep Sea State' is an exercise showcasing the raw form of Easlick's drumming but laced with an adamantium frame. Melodies from Bézier's musical training past haunt the entire interlude.

Imaginary time is a representation of time that appears in some approaches to quantum mechanics; mathematically speaking, it simply is a line perpendicular to the time axis. Inspired by this concept and by the possibilty of transcending the normal restrictions of time and space through the power of imagination, Industrial / DIY music cult act Nocturnal Emissions released a first raw and irregular version of Imaginary Time in 1996, followed three years later by a new more rave inspired mix, this time reflecting a political urge of that particular moment in time when the squatting scene, free parties, and non commercial raves - all existing tied up with campaigns of anti-capitalist protests going on in the late 90s - were upsetting the powers of the ruling class and the authoritarian government in the UK. Common Labour finally returns to the record press with their milestone tenth 12″! The four-tracker by pothOles perfectly balances crisp percussions and bassy grooves with evocative sprinkles of synthetic harmony. His buddy Yaniel joins the party, collaborating on two tracks. The guys go way back to 2003 with their boy band days as the A.M. Specialists trio (comprising Samuli Kemppi, Yaniel, & pothOles). Most renowned for “Polar Zoo”, Danny Tenaglia’s power play at the Vinyl Club back in the day. As you hear, their musical alchemy hasn’t dwindled one bit though. AGT Records is onto release 007 and it’s a certified killer.

In the early 2000’s KAELO and DJ Jet AKA Kaelo Gallagher and Jesse Goldfarb combined to create JK47. They produced and pressed their records out of their own pocket with no distribution, handing them to local record shops in and around Toronto. When the shops eventually closed the records found their way out into the world, leading us to today.

The Plastic Aviator EP was a passion project of the duo in 2005. Its influences stretch beyond any one era or genre and you really do get a taste of everything here. The balearic feel of the original mix (shoutout to Queen of the Worms on the guitar) is nicely balanced with the dub inflected UKG attitudes of the Scene Heads and Loopity Goofs Mix, while the previously unreleased Hernan Gutmer mix brings the EP to a deep and head-spinning close.

This is a record to be packed and played throughout the night and day, and we’re happy to have the chance to get it back onto turntables - all in good time.

The next release on Nastia's imprint NECHTO introduces Stanislav Tolkachev's
latest offering, 'NECH024.' A pioneer of the Ukrainian techno scene, Tolkachev's
journey into techno began in the early 2000s in Dnipro, Ukraine. Renowned for his
atonal modular sound, he continues to showcase his mastery of synths in this
upcoming release with dozens of timeless tunes under his belt.

Having a longstanding connection with Nastia and the NECHTO label, Tolkachev's
collaboration with the label has been in the making for years. Nastia's unwavering
support during difficult times has fostered a genuine friendship between them,
paving the way for a much anticipated release.
The tracks, recorded approximately five years ago in his studio in Kyiv, are live
recordings made using analog modular synthesizers and FM groovebox, adding a
touch of hooliganism and romance to the mix.

Having patiently awaited the perfect moment, Tolkachev now unveils the five tracks,
characterised by his signature minimalistic, synth-led and atmospheric sound.
