After years in the making, last year we released our The Low End Theory 7" Box Set for the 30th Anniversary. It was a labor of love and a work of art. We know there are DJs out there asking and vinyl purists that aren't interested in colored vinyl so we have pressed up the collection on all black 7" vinyl.

Originally released 32 years ago on September 24, 1991, A Tribe Called Quest's second studio album is regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. From Check The Rhime to the posse cut Scenario, the trio of Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad deliver jazzy hip-hop beats and rhymes like butter.

-Five of the 7" records are housed in custom picture sleeves that form the iconic album cover along with 3 replicas of the original 12-inch singles that were released.

Thirty years ago on April 19, 1994, Nasir "Nas" Jones dropped Illmatic which is regarded by many as the greatest hip-hop album of all time. Before 1994, Nas (under the name "Nasty Nas") was rapping and making demo tapes with Large Professor, and in 1991 performed an unforgettable verse on Main Source's "Live at the Barbeque." The next year Nas released "Halftime" for the Zebrahead soundtrack, another Large Pro cut, and signed a deal to record an album for Columbia Records. Nas was being compared to one of the lyrical greats, Rakim, and the pressure was on to drop a debut album to top all rappers. A dream team of hip-hop producers including DJ Premier, Large Professor, Q-Tip, Pete Rock, and L.E.S. was assembled to work on what would become the 5 Mic classic Illmatic. Not only did it establish Nas as the Best Rapper Alive in 1994, but it also raised the stakes for hip-hop production, lyrical technique, content, and overall artistic ambition.

Illmatic is the crown jewel of the mid-90s classics that still define the genre. No filler, one intro, and 9 tracks of hip-hop perfection. Every song on this album matters. From Premier's masterful "N.Y State Of Mind" to the AZ-assisted "Life's A Bitch" and Pete Rock's piano-laced "The World Is Yours" Illmatic starts with a powerful trio of songs that easily could solidify this album as classic if it stopped right there. Other tracks such as "Memory Lane" and "One Love" show Nas focusing on his neighborhood and local legends that molded him into the person he was which made them all just as important to us. Large Professor delivers the album's first single "It Ain't Hard To Tell" while Premier delivers the album's certified street anthem "Represent". Serious to a fault, and lyrically dense to an extent that has possibly never been matched, the 20-year-old Nas stood on the shoulders of his predecessors and made them proud with this one. Thirty years later the album stands the test of time, where time is truly illmatic.

Thirty years ago on November 9, 1993, The RZA, The GZA, Raekwon The Chef, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Method Man and Ghostface Killah formed like Voltron and set off the worldwide movement of the Wu-Tang Clan.

To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the release of Wu-Tang Clan's classic 1993 debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), Get On Down, in partnership with Sony's CERTIFIED and the RZA, is issuing a new limited edition box set of the album pressed on six split black and yellow 7-inches housed in a custom canvas wrapped Wu-Tang album art box with a printed outer slip case.

Box Set contains:

-The full album on six split black and yellow colored big hole 7-inch records in printed full color inner sleeves.

-A 60 page liner notes book titled The Shaolinothology featuring RZA input / interviews, extensive research by journalist Chris Faraone, album lyrics, rarely-seen photos and other rare images from the Enter The Wu-Tang era, plus new additional photos by Wu-Tang album cover photographer Danny Hastings.

-A pack of 30th Anniversary 36 Chambers Trading Cards featuring never-before-seen photos by photographer Danny Hastings. The trading cards are only available in this box set.

KutMasta Kurt and Substance Abuse pay tribute to MF Doom with this special 7” release. The A-side contains a dope 2023 remix with that KMK signature sound guaranteed to keep heads noddin’, while the B-side brings the original (2005 released) version that was actually recorded in the beginning of the 2000’s - before Doom’s rise to prominence; thanks to releases like Mad-Villain and Danger Doom. Yall So Stupid came from Atlanta's underground and gave their listeners the low down on their town on their debut album "Van Full Of Pakistans", originally released on Rowdy Records in 1993. MC's Unkle Buk, H2O, and Logic, with DJ Sha Boogie on the turns, stuck to what they knew and did best: busting straight up hardcore tracks for macks, honeys and tricks. Entirely produced by Spearhead X eccept a few productions by label mates Da King & I and Sylvan Sargeant.

Available in a limited run on 2LP+7", extra 7" of the title track "Van Full Of Pakistans" ("Album Version" b/w "Spearhead X Remix"), CD in jewel case, cassette and digitally on all major platforms.

Originally released in 1995 via Rowdy Records, Jamal's solo debut "Last Chance, No Breaks" finally gets the reissue treatment sporting three unreleased tracks from the demo version. Productions and features include artists such as Redman, Erick Sermon, Pete Rock, Keith Murray, George Clinton and many more.

Available in a limited run on 2LP+7", extra 7" of "Fades Em All (Pete Rock Remix)", CD in jewel case, cassette and digitally on all major platforms.

Official Mr Bongo Hip Hop Reissue When the film ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ was released in 1992, an EP of music from the film was dropped almost simultaneously. That EP, cheekily titled ‘White Men Can’t Rap’, featured a couple of exclusive gems, notably Gang Starr’s ‘Now You’re Mine’ and a cut from Main Source called ‘Fakin’ the Funk’. The only single borne of that six-track EP was the Main Source track, released in remixed form on Wild Pitch records the same year. No surprise, it was head and shoulders above the rest. Opening with those unmistakable harmonies from Main Ingredient’s ‘Magic Shoes’, the intro segues into a crisp beat borrowed from Grady Tate’s frequently sampled ‘Be Black Baby’ from 1969. Throw in a sprinkle of Kool & The Gang and you’ve got a track that would fit seamlessly onto Main Source’s masterpiece of an album, ‘Breaking Atoms’. Instead, it’s the group’s last hurrah, the final collaboration between K-Cut, Sir Scratch and Large Professor before the latter departed the trio. It’s fitting that he saves one of his best vocal performances for last, railing at sell-outs with the assistance of his long-term collaborator Neek the Exotic. Never released before on an official 7”, it’s a track that has lost none of its appeal, and the remix is the definitive version of this classic.

Representing New Jersey to the fullest, Miilkbone stepped to the scene in 1994 with the piano-driven single "Keep It Real", followed by the full-length debut release "Da Miilkrate" in 1995.

In the ghetto landscapes of the Delaney projects in his hometown of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, hip hop became the soundtrack of Miilkbone's life. As b-boy kids bounced their ill pills with the mad swagger of basketball macks, the boo-boom of Rakim and Kool G Rap inspired the moods, grooves and attitudes of a new generation of rhyme slayers.

Mainly produced by the likes of former Illtown protégé Mufi, Naughty By Nature's very own Kay Gee and up-and-coming Nick Wiz, the album remains a highlight from the golden era in the catalogue of rap from New Jersey.

Rashad & Confidence bursted onto the scene back in 2011 with their much sought after and critically acclaimed underground classic, "The Element of Surprise". Since then Rashad has been quiet while Confidence put out two more top selling albums with Edo.G/G.Dot & Born and Purpose (of Tragic Allies) along with various singles (SmooVth, Beneficence, Jaysaun, Neek The Exotic, The Legion, The Regiment, etc.).
Eight years later, the Brooklyn/Philly duo finally reemerage with their long-awaited new single, "Desires".
Rashad hasn't lost a step. This time around the gifted MC goes into detail the desires he has and what it takes to get there along with the obstacles he encounters, backed by Confidence's typical raw but also soulful boom-bap production.
Hip-hop heads all around the globe have been asking for new material by Rashad & Confidence and it is a crazy coincidence that their "Desires" single drops around the same time as the brand new album by their biggest influence, Gang Starr.

Limited edition of 300 copies of the "Yummy EP" by Das Kate Schellenbach Experiment, the producer duo Torsten Scholz and Tom Körbler from Berlin/Augsburg.

Torsten is the bass player of the Berlin band Beatsteaks. Tom is an independent producer, engineer and musician and also works for Beatsteaks among others. As a collaborative artist project, DKSBE! releases singles at regular intervals, in cooperation with known or unknown musicians.

The "Yummy EP" presented here comes in the classic single format, which is rather unusual for a rap EP. If now it becomes clear that the 5 songs have a maximum length of about 1:30 min, one feels rather reminded of punk or hardcore releases of the 80s or 90s. That was also the purpose of this release from DKSBE!

Logo, that the sound does not come along so hanging. Bang already! Short crisp rap songs with punk attitude, if you needed a description, then probably this one.
