There is an interesting story behind the Marble Bowl from Puebco. Puebco actually wanted to manufacture new tableware, but in the end it became a bowl for animal feed. Puebco visited a factory in India that made bowls for various scientific experiments. They prided themselves on making bowls that could not break under any circumstances. When Puebco announced that they didn't need a bowl, but an outer mold to make a bowl, the manager of the factory seemed reluctant. Puebco found marble waste not far from the factory and decided to scrap the original idea and use this material instead. When the process was completed, the bowl was very heavy.
