Since the release of their second LP »Untergang /// Wiederaufbau« (»Demise /// Reconstruction«) in 2009, 88:Komaflash have swallowed down ntheir dissatisfaction with how things are, found it to be indigestible and now spit it back in the world’s face. With their third album »Eremiten im Wohnzimmer« (»Living Room Hermits«) the Munich-based rap crew takes inventory of what’s happened in the past ten years, whether in Neomuc, their own four walls or the jungle out there, with concise proletarian rap. While Omega Takeshi’s lyrics dismantle the status quo, Mars (bass), Aqua Luminus III. (beats) and Al Rock (turntables) blaze the trail with ten tracks that are as sharpedged and on point as they are complex.

88:Komaflash sind Omega Takeshi (MC), Mars (Bass), Aqua Luminus III. (Beats) und Al Rock (Turntables). Seit der Debüt-EP »Tapeflash Eins« im Jahr 2000 ist die Münchener Crew der Stachel im Fleisch des Rap-Materialismus. Nach einer Reihe kleinerer Releases veröffentlichte das Quartett in den Jahren 2005 und 2009 die Alben »Verteidigung der Zukunft« und »Untergang /// Wiederaufbau«, die den fordernden, ausdefinierten Rap-Sound der Gruppe perfektionierten. 2019 erscheint mit »Eremiten im Wohnzimmer« das erste Album der Band seit zehn Jahren, eine scharfkantige und komplexe Abrechnung mit dem Status Quo.

Neue Sachlichkeit bezeichnet eine Stilrichtung der Kunst, welche sich nach den Gräueln des ersten Weltkriegs mit der menschlichen Vergangenheit von Gewalt auseinandersetzte. Entgegen der Romantisierung des eigenen Weltbezugs trat eine nüchternere Betrachtungsweise, welche der Darstellung von Hässlichkeit neben Schönheit einen Platz einräumte. Neue Sachlichkeit bezeichnet ebenfalls die Platte des Produzenten und Rappers Soseies. Das Album setzt sich auf seine Weise ebenfalls mit Vergangenem auseinander und stellt es in Form von Beats, Skits und Texten fest; gipfelt ebenfalls in einer neuen Perspektivität.

Neue Sachlichkeit kommt als erste Platte des Magdeburg-based Labels Hallenbande auf schwarzem Vinyl daher. Wesentliche Bereicherung erfuhr das Album durch hauseigenes Mixing & Mastering von Asbeluxt sowie Texte von Schubidoobie, Schmero und Pucci. Das gesamte Design basiert auf dem Gemälde der Künstlerin Mundiartis.

»Jazz'n'Beats« is a new mini-compilation selected by Oonops and it's named as the eponymous »Oonops Drops«-series on Brooklyn Radio.

In the mix are renowned beatproducer DJ Mitsu The Beats from Japan who joined forces with 1Co.INR for a laid back instrumental tune with a well known core melody. Next up label-graphic design head honcho is back with a new'n'sweet mini beat called »Parakeets« before we get to the flipside. This gets started with German underground rap & producer duo 4Trackboy & Echomann a.k.a. Retrogott & Twit One who drop a sharp and jazzy dope tune for this release which gets rounded down with a beautiful jazzy hip-hop instrumental by Japanese jazz musician and composer Kazumi Kaneda.

Vienna 2009; Whizz Vienna, an Austrian musician is nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category 'Album of the year'. Why and how that happened, he is still not sure of to this day. By now, the album in question 'Versager ohne Zukunft', which is produced in collaboration with Kamp, has turned into a classic. Even though he has released several projects since then, such as the renowned 'Wiener Staub' Beat-LP, it has become quiet around the producer. His studio existence and his musical creation more or less turned into dust. Darmstadt 2020; during a thorough tidying up of old hard drives a folder labeled 'Whizz Vienna Beatz' experiences a musical renaissance. The dopeness of the material is undeniable to this day and that kind of freshness cannot be just left in the digital wasteland ready to rot. The search for the missing Whizz Vienna was more challenging than expected due to the fact that he enjoyed his own presence to be buried in the underground.
