Sie tun es wieder. Birdy SanJazz und Johannes Onetake sind wieder das TagTeam der Stunde. Nur dieses Mal mit noch mehr Druck, noch mehr Witz und noch mehr unten rum. Wieder vereinen sie ihre Stärken (Birdy an den Beats, Oner an den Raps) und lassen sich von einer Horde stabiler DJ's begleiten. Mit DJ Ketch, Tobsen Tobsucht, DJ Chuck Borris, WOX und Wild Pigeon sind alte und neue Bekannte mit von der Partie. Das 11 Track starke Album wird auf Vinyl über kein geringeres als eines der angesagtesten Untergrund-Labels LabOhr erscheinen.

Dieses Album hittet anders. Der Würzburger Rapper Slize erfüllt sich mit "Zwischen Zeit" einen langjährigen Traum und veröffentlicht über das Label Labohr seine erste Solo-Platte auf Vinyl. Tick, Tack. Gut Ding will eben manchmal Weile haben - underrated und seit fast 20 Jahren am Mic, wird sich ein Herz gefasst, um Persönliches aufzuarbeiten, aber auch vor allem um das Wort Rap wieder groß zu schreiben. Das Album nimmt sich dabei kein Beispiel am oft aufgesetzten und überheblich klingenden Zeitgeist, sondern bewegt sich ganz unaufgeregt auf anderen Ebenen. Wenig Belangloses und viel Ehrlichkeit. Es hagelt Punchlines, statt Lückenfüller und in gewohnt klassicher Boombap-Manier, tragen die Jazz-beeinflussten Beats und der Mix, von Bruder im Geiste Philo Philta, die Stimme des Protagonisten wie selbsverständlich. Und auch am Mikrofon wird Slize dabei von eben jenem, aber auch von Davefinitiv, Almighty Warpath und NYK unterstützt. Einige melodiöse Hooks und die Cuts von DJ Chuck Borrisbrechen die Lyrics und den vielfältigen Flow an den richtigen Stellen erfrischend auf. Ein Family-Ding. Inhaltlich irgendwo zwischen Midlife-Crisis und Bars mit Galgenhumor, Gesellschaftskritik und Selbstreflektion, schafft es die LP trotzdem entspannt den roten Faden beizubehalten. Das Ganze spielt sich in einem dopestmöglichen Rahmen ab: zwischen Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft - eben zwischen Zeit.

Inspiriert von den 80ern, aufgewachsen in 90ern, gereift in den 2000ern und zurück im „Hier und Jetzt“. Schnell, mitreißend, wild & kompromisslos; so lässt sich der Sound der Gruppe Wort und Totschlag (W.U.T) wahrscheinlich am besten beschreiben. Wem Namen wie No Remorze, Hijack, Gunshot, Son of Noise und Silver Bullet kein Fragezeichen, sondern ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubern, der sollte sich Zeit für W.U.T nehmen! Raue Beatz von Bjorn von Kalt (meistens jenseits der 100bpm), atemberaubende Scratches von DJ Cold Cut und Ultra harter Rap von Stuntman Mike, bilden ein explosives Gemisch welches das Herz eines jeden Hardcore / Britcore / Underground Rap Fans schneller schlagen lässt.

Deichkind and HHV once again go into the next round and offer you this album in a special edition limited to 2000 pieces in müritz blue. Deichkind's new single "In Der Natur" is the first harbinger of the eighth album called "Neues vom Dauerzustand", which will be released in spring 2023.

The band around Sebastian Dürre aka Porky, Henning Besser aka La Perla as well as Philipp Grütering aka Kryptik Joe had started working on the new album during the pandemic and the general mood and atmosphere of that early pandemic phase has inscribed itself quite automatically into lyrics and music of the new songs. So Deichkind are back - at exactly the right time.

The first single release from the album, the ambiguous song "In Der Natur", combines cryptic yodeling art with abstract criticism of civilization and shows: Deichkind's social criticism works so well because it doesn't come from the bleachers and certainly not from the ivory tower. Deichkind always mean themselves, too, when they mock the impositions of the present - and in the process, as if in passing, dress up even the supposedly most unwieldy topics in potential hits that you want to sing along to right away.

Deichkind are getting better and better, more precise, more biting. So it's good that it's finally starting again. With the eighth Deichkind album and a tour in summer 2023.
