A journey to Mars and back.

OkyDoky & MC Semnov drop a double dose of hip hop science fiction.

Al Mareekh [Mars] and Al Ard [Earth] tell a dream of intergalactic migration.

OkyDoky’s pulsing synths and dredging basslines conjure the cold vastness of the red planet, while jaw-grinding beats and blaring synths signal a return to Earth. MC Semnov rides the flow, weaving together tales of migration and frustration, exile and identity, with dreams of another, better planet that is perpetually out of grasp. Gritty, dark, and fantastical, this double EP release has been over three years in the making.

Vienna 2009; Whizz Vienna, an Austrian musician is nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category 'Album of the year'. Why and how that happened, he is still not sure of to this day. By now, the album in question 'Versager ohne Zukunft', which is produced in collaboration with Kamp, has turned into a classic. Even though he has released several projects since then, such as the renowned 'Wiener Staub' Beat-LP, it has become quiet around the producer. His studio existence and his musical creation more or less turned into dust. Darmstadt 2020; during a thorough tidying up of old hard drives a folder labeled 'Whizz Vienna Beatz' experiences a musical renaissance. The dopeness of the material is undeniable to this day and that kind of freshness cannot be just left in the digital wasteland ready to rot. The search for the missing Whizz Vienna was more challenging than expected due to the fact that he enjoyed his own presence to be buried in the underground. In the end, the hidden asset has been unvcovered, plans have been cultivated and now after a two year waiting time the final product is ready to be launched. 13 long-lost instrumentals, Kamp and Prinz Pi spitting on 2 of them, cuts by DJ Vektor, 1 love for Eva.

Galv ist ein Ausnahme-MC, der großen Respekt innerhalb der HipHop-Szene genießt und inzwischen auch im Mainstream eine feste Größe ist. Sein Rapstil und seine Stimme sind in der deutschen HipHop-Landschaft absolute Unikate.

Auch als Filmemacher und Host der ARD-Dokumentation „Wer rettet die Clubs?“ konnte Galv dieses Jahr schon auf sich aufmerksam machen.

Mit Vola legt er nun ein Album vor, auf dem jeder einzelne Song eine Single sein könnte. Unterstützt wird er dabei von der Creme de la Creme der deutschen HipHop Produzenten wie Suff Daddy, Torky Tork, Maniac, S Fidelty, Audiotism, Jan Faati uvm.

Ob krachende Tanzflächenbretter wie „So Fly“, Oldschool-Funk-inspirierte BoomBap-Tracks wie „Phonk Station“ oder melancholische Abgesänge wie „Flakka“ - Galv beherrscht sämtliche Tonlagen und klingt doch immer unverwechselbar wie Galv.

"2020" ist im Jahr 2019 von Filo und Eisman in Leipzig produziert worden. Im Fokus des Projekts steht die künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit sozialen, ökologischen und ökonomischen Spannungsverhältnissen in Gegenwart und Zukunft. Musikalisch bewegt sich "2020" zwischen klassischen Synthisounds, drückenden Bässen und verträumten Melodien. Frei von Sponsoren, Labels und anderem Schnickschnack, arbeiten wir mit Freund*innen und dem Höhlenkollektiv. Für eine starke DIY-Kultur!

Die "KD RATIO" beschreibt im ursprünglichen Sinne, das Verhältnis zwischen K - Kills, die Anzahl getätigter Abschüsse und D - Deaths, die Anzahl der Tode in Ego-Shooter Spielen.

Wer welche von den 10 Toden erleiden musste ist nun geklärt:
Kong und Diggy Mac Dirt legen mit ihrer Zielgenauigkeit, eine solide 1.0 Ratio, auf der 8-Track starken Scheibe hin. Ihr Fadenkreuz ist dabei vorrangig auf den Spawnpunkt von AfD-lern, allgemeinen gesellschaftlichen Missständen und szeneinternen puristischen Mumpitz gerichtet. Die Kompromisslosigkeit hinter dem Schaffensprozess, spiegelt sich in jedem einzelnen Bit, der auf 300 Stück limitierten Platte aus schwarzem Gold wieder. DJ Cutrock von den Forcki9ers sorgt für die beste Auflösung und Framerate, allerdings sind seine Hände für das bloße Auge nicht zu erkennen, wenn er seine punktgenauen Cuts abliefert. Der Soundtrack ist durchweg geprägt von düsteren und wuchtigen Diggy Mac Dirt Instrumentals. Für einen Gastbeitrag, haben sich die Beiden für den Berliner Producer-Underdog Q-Cut entschieden, welcher den Beat für das "Entlösungsmanifest" gezimmert hat. Im Teamspeak schaltet sich tatkräftige Unterstützung in Form von Finest (Forcki9ers) und ESC aus Rostock hinzu.

Nach der "Feierabendschablone" verlässt nun offiziell das zweite Release die Pforten der Bretterbude am 28.02.2020 und kann nun vorbestellt werden.

Obacht Leeroy, das ist nur der Anfang!

Since the release of their second LP »Untergang /// Wiederaufbau« (»Demise /// Reconstruction«) in 2009, 88:Komaflash have swallowed down ntheir dissatisfaction with how things are, found it to be indigestible and now spit it back in the world’s face. With their third album »Eremiten im Wohnzimmer« (»Living Room Hermits«) the Munich-based rap crew takes inventory of what’s happened in the past ten years, whether in Neomuc, their own four walls or the jungle out there, with concise proletarian rap. While Omega Takeshi’s lyrics dismantle the status quo, Mars (bass), Aqua Luminus III. (beats) and Al Rock (turntables) blaze the trail with ten tracks that are as sharpedged and on point as they are complex.

88:Komaflash sind Omega Takeshi (MC), Mars (Bass), Aqua Luminus III. (Beats) und Al Rock (Turntables). Seit der Debüt-EP »Tapeflash Eins« im Jahr 2000 ist die Münchener Crew der Stachel im Fleisch des Rap-Materialismus. Nach einer Reihe kleinerer Releases veröffentlichte das Quartett in den Jahren 2005 und 2009 die Alben »Verteidigung der Zukunft« und »Untergang /// Wiederaufbau«, die den fordernden, ausdefinierten Rap-Sound der Gruppe perfektionierten. 2019 erscheint mit »Eremiten im Wohnzimmer« das erste Album der Band seit zehn Jahren, eine scharfkantige und komplexe Abrechnung mit dem Status Quo.
